We needed a starter for a Ford F650. Bought a remanufactured from Napa in Olympia which they sourced from Romaine. It lasted from Oct. 13 2014 until Feb 12 2015, 2009 miles. Since the reman starter was installed It always had a problem of intermittently it would just click a couple times then start. one day it would start any more. Banged on the starter with a hammer and it started. Went to Order a new starter and they said they wouldn't send a replacement until they inspected the old one. Ok sent the starter to Napa and with in one hour Romaine had already disassembled it and said it was ok. There must be something wrong with the truck. Paid out of pocket to order another Romaine reman starter and the replacement was worse than the first one. It would just click then the starter would just wizzz free spinning. We ordered a reman starter from Ford and worked great the fist time. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME REPLACING BAD ELECTRONIS WITH POORLY REMANUFACTURED PRODUCTS FROM ROMAINE!!!! They will just tell you that your wrong it must be your vehicle.

Called them ta ask about my auto generator stator coil. Was put on hold for so long I just finally hung up. Then I read the reviews (ones not posted by the staff) and realized why I was put on hold. Poor customer care.

Years ago this was the place to go. Very helpful, great customer service, fast and friendly. Recently decided to start bringing my business their again due to the fact that I am starting my own truck and equipment repair shop. The service is terrible now. Smug, rude and not helpful at all. Obviously they are making to much money and do not need any of mine. Considering that my company will be doing major business in the near future with dozens of independent distributors. I will not recommend RE to anyone! Not even to my competitors. I've honestly had better experiences at the Department of licensing which is very sad. With the mentality that RE has now and poor customer service it will not be surprising if this business goes under. So for anyone looking to have anything rebuilt or exchanged I will recommend to spend the extra money and by from any local auto parts store. Most of the local auto parts stores are more willing to help with no bs that I seem to be coming across more and more these days. So good luck RE Electric. You have just lost my business for life!

Love this place, they always help me when I call with questions. I mostly look for new, alternators and starters, they seem to have everything, always a fair price. Amazon and eBay are cheap, but you get what you pay for and I appreciate the expertise these folks bring me when I need the oddball stuff for uncommon applications or even the more common things, they're pretty competitive with our other suppliers prices too.
