Talked with Bob. I had recently had transmission work done at a dealer while visiting family in Iowa. Arrived back in Racine and the next day a puddle of trans fluid under my car. I called Bob, he said bring car there. They fixed my transmission leak and contacted the dealer who forgot to put an o-ring in when fixing it and even got the dealer to pay repair bill plus drove me home and then picked me up when repair was done. Above and beyond expectations

Have had Mike and his team do two complete transmission rebuilds for me. (Separate cars & years apart) He wasn't the cheapest and wasn't the fastest but both ran great afterward and he stood behind the warranty where other shops might have tried to wiggle out.

I had never been here prior to getting my transmission rebuilt. Mike and his team were honest and did not try to sell me on useless things, actually even talked me out of wasting money. Additionally, and most importantly to me, he broke down the mechanics behind a transmission and explained a lot to me .someone who can put that into easy to understand terms and physically show me the parts that were bad and take photos of the interior has my vote . I cannot say enough good things about this place! They got me in right away for an inspection...and Argos (my Doberman) as always, brought smiles to all. Bob was amazingly informative, gave me (who knows bare minimum about cars) the layman's explanations and helped me piece together a plan to move forward. Although I don't *want* repairs to have to be done, I feel the most comfortable trusting these guys over most lately to work on my baby! Two Paws Way Up from us!

I had the misfortune of having my transmission go out on me. after taking to different shop that got misdiagnosed .... called around for price quotes and this place definitely takes the cake .... best prices ... This shop may be my favorite mechanic I've ever visited. I've been done bad and treated poorly but this place was so much different. He didn't make me feel silly, he didnt get irritated when I googled ideas to help pinpoint the issue in my car and most importantly, he did not give up until he actually figured out what was wrong with my car. He is fairly priced and appears to be built on honesty. I recommend this place and will continue to go for all my vehicle needs.

I genuinely cannot say enough good things about Racine Transmission. The quality of their service is unmatched. Bob is a high character mechanic. He has been so helpful and accomodating. He has fit my vehicles in when I have needed it and is beyond honest and fair with his diagnostic and services. If you are nervous about mechanics I highly recommend them. It’s really, really hard to find a competent and honest independent mechanic these days. Bob is from an older time when doing a job well at a fair price was considered an expectation. When my transmission blew out on a commercial vehicle and I didn’t have the luxury of time to fix it Bob worked me in way more quickly than I could have even expected, and was flexible in helping me to get the job done without waiting on long lead times for new parts. I am incredibly grateful and am glad I rolled the dice on the shop that happened to be just a mile away. Can’t say enough good things, if you need transmission work done you can trust these guys to do it well and at a reasonable rate.

As a returning customer, I'm very happy with the thorough analysis and very fair pricing that Bob delivers. My plow truck transmission was rebuilt many years ago, which I still drive and plow my driveway with. I still chuckle as it chirps the tires going into second gear down the road.
