Don't settle for Rays Mechanic. I owned a 2012 VW CC. My engine seized up. I took my cars to Rays Mechanic. Out of many things that went wrong. Jake assisted me with a CareOne card to see how much I would get approved. My engine replacement would cost me 6500.00. I only got approved for 400.00 on the CareOne card. I decline this amount because I decided to get a loan with Nave Federal for the entire amount. Needless to say after two engines put in my car and neither of them worked, I traded in my vehicle. Two months later I get a bill in the mail for 400.00 from CareOne. I called and stated that I never owned a card like that and they must have the wrong number. The lady explained to me that Rays Mechanic has the authority to CHARGE your card even if you don't have the card on your person. Jake charged my card for the full amount of 400.00, after I already paid the full amount to have my engine replaced. Please take my advice and don't trust your car to these crooks. They are not friendly to Military and will do anything to take your money. I also had a paid of JBL Headphone stolen from my car when I dropped it off. Jake told me, "He is not responsible for anything left in the car once it is dropped off." So what that tells me, is that he doesn't even have the nerve to make sure the people that work for him are honest and can be trusted. I had to take my car back a total of 13 times after both engines has been replaced in my car. My AC stopped working, my car stalled and even shut off on the highway once with my two kids in the back seat. I will NEVER see this place the same again. I caution everyone to PLEASE think twice before you settle for Rays Mechanic. They pose a direct risk to your safety, and care about nothing except getting paid.

I do not rate a repair facility high on the first visit. I have been to Ray's three times for various maintenance on my wife's Mustang. The most recent was for brakes. I highly recommend Ray's. His technician, David, is ASE certified and top notch in my book!

I would definitly not recommend Ray's. I had my car towed in and asked for a diagnostic to be done. A week and $1500 later I drove away being told my car was good to go and everything sounded great. Soon as I drove off I quickly discovered 1. I HAD NO BRAKES! and 2. The engine was sputtering, coughing, and backfiring like crazy. No where on the diagnostic did it mention brakes. I even mentioned I needed somethings installed that the car desperately needed and they had no idea what I was talking about.

If you want great professional quality and trustworthy work done at a fraction of the price and hassle of the dealerships than I would highly suggest this place. They have great customer service and on more than one occasion Ray and his highly trained staff have gone above and beyond on their work to provide outstanding service to my vehicles. I always suggest this establishment to all of my friends and family members as I trust that they will provide high quality service with a professional attitude.

I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AND WOULDN'T SUGGEST ANYONE USE THIS COMPANY... I HAVE A 2011 CHEVY LTZ I BROUGHT TO THEM TO DO THE TIMING ON IT AND AFTER A WEEK I WENT TO PICK IT UP AND AFTER A HOUR OF HAVING MY RIDE BACK IT STARTED MISFIRING. SO I RETURNED IT AND AFTER 3 DAYS THEY CHANGED THE SPARK PLUGS AND I CAME BACK AND PICKED IT BACK UP. 3 DAYS LATER SAME PROBLEM STARTED BACK UP SO I TOOK IT BACK TO THEM AND ONCE AGAIN THEY CHANGED THE SPARK PLUGS THAT TOOK THREE DAYS. I ASKED THEM TO CHECK THE TIMING BC I was told they missed it up and they told me that it's good. So once again I had to go without a ride for Three days and this time when I went to pick it up it lasted a week before the motor blew up while driving to my daughter school. The moral of the story is don't trust theses people bc it was bc of them I had to pay $6000 dollars to another repair shop to replace the motor. I paid ray $4500. I lost $4500 bc of them .

I have a 2010 Acura MDX that I bought on a salvage title. The dealership would not guarantee the work that they would do to the car. Ray does. I have taken my car to them for various services over the last year. They are honest and David is one of their best mechanics. They have over-quoted and undercharged me more than once. They will show you things on your car that other shops would ignore until it is broken. They are fair and professional. I have read the negative ratings and I wonder if we are taking our cars to the same place. I never felt taken advantage of or lied to. They have done additional preventive/ minor things to my car that they noticed while fixing it. They did the repairs without adding it to the bill. They were more concerned with my safety. They are not "fly by night" backyard mechanics. They are what their name states.

My overall experience was great. They are very honest in their work and will not rip you off. Even if there are a lot of cars schedule for repairs, your vehicle will get seen and repaired the same day. For future repairs, I will be taking my vehicle there and did I mention the prices are affordable. I definitely recommend this place.

Brought my car here to have my brake rotors changed, the rotors were changed… but my brake calipers were scratched all over! Owner literally told me, “you should have told us to be careful and not scratch your calipers”… sorry for not assuming that respecting my property was only optional upon request. Seems as if they do not care about others property. The owner did not charge me for the brake job, however that was after making a fuss. Visit here with extreme caution.

These people intentionally misdiagnosed my car trying to scam me out of thousands of dollars. Told me I needed a new engine. When all I needed was a new alternator. They also work with Precision auto tune so do not trust these two places Especially if your a female they will LIE to you to try to get over on you DONT FALL FOR IT. Find someone in the army that does side work on cars! That’s what I did. These auto shops around here are desperate for a come up!!! PLEASE BE AWARE

I have gone through Ray twice now for some higher priced repairs for two vehicles. Rays and his team are not only experienced and meticulous, but also pleasant, professional, and willing to help. Ray’s prices are much more realistic than any big box shop and he stands by his word no matter the scenario. Outstanding work from Ray and his team.

This place has good people doing a great job on repairs. I've been bringing in my old car here for a few years now. As people we forget that somebody has a life outside their jobs and can make mistakes or simply have a bad day but I can honestly say if my car needed to be fixed or corrected it was done. And at decent price. .also letting me know other things that need to fixed. Thank You Chris and everyone. RIP Mr . Jake

If you're in need of a great mechanic shop that is trustworthy with excellent customer service then I would highly recommend going to Ray's Certified Mechanics. Instead of taking the $90 from a customer, he advised her that it would basically be a waste of time and money to have our car inspected because of the fact that the vehicle was still covered under manufacturer's warranty with only 33k miles and since the car was from our lot at Freedom Country then he assured her that we were a reliable and trustworthy dealership as well. Thank you Jake for your honesty.

I am driving from Houston to have Ray's mechanics work on my BMW. They have always done superior work at a reasonable price. Looking back, it has been 15 years of trust.

Owner took the time to check my car to find out what the problem was with my car. Update: I took my car back to be fixed and within a short time I was on the road again. Very reasonably priced, Very courteous and helpful. Great location and I would recommend. Thanks Ray and sorry for any inconvenience on my part.

I spent 6 to 8 weeks calling around to different auto repair shops for a major repair that was quoted to be more than $2200! I kept receiving the same information that my repair would need to be paid for upfront. I called Ray directly, and he was more than kind and generous to order the parts for my vehicle prior to doing the repair so that they would be available when I was ready to drop off my car. The repair was done well and completed the same day. My total cost for parts and labor cost far below half of what the other places were quoting me. They did not try to oversell me on other issues that need to be addressed and they were professional from beginning to end. I plan to come back in the future for the minor maintenance issues as well. Excellent service!

Let me tell you about my day, what a great day to be out in the sunshine. So I live in Killeen was heading towards Belton and got a flat tire in a cargo van. Super over sized tire, so I knew that Rays Certified Mechanics was just right up the road cause the spare needed more air. So I pulled in to ask the mechanic if they could add some air to my tire, that I just changed out. I spoke with the gentleman named Kirby, super friendly guy, said it was no problem and quickly helped put air in the tire. Woot woot to Kirby, for such great customer service, with a friendly smile. Thank you so much for your help sir. I hope his customer service skills is a reflection of how his company treats him. JLGP
