I really appreciate how quickly I was able to get an appointment to get my vehicle smog checked. Everyone there was polite and professional.

CONSUMER BEWARE!!!! Further proof that Redhawk Auto is not to be trusted: a while back I alerted consumers via this platform to the attempt by Red Hawk Auto’s shop in Temecula to charge me $1,500 to further diagnose rough idle in the engine of my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee after an initial $189 diagnosis charge. They advised that due to low compression in one of the cylinders, I would likely need a new engine. Rather than incur further expense, I opted to take my vehicle to another shop for a second opinion. After replacing a fuel injector and associated solenoid (total cost $400) the vehicle was up and running and has been running fine ever since. I lodged a complaint against Red Hawk with the California Bureau of Automotive Repair. During the investigation, the assigned investigator advised me that the company owner was very concerned about what I went through, desired to speak with me in an effort to earn back my trust, and would send me a check for the $189 I spent on the initial diagnostic. Now a couple of weeks later, I have received no refund and my messages to the company owner have gone unanswered. Let this be a warning to anyone contemplating business with Redhawk to steer clear of this extremely shady establishment.

I have been a customer for around 20 years. I took my daughter’s car in for an issue. They misdiagnosed the problem charging 4600 for parts and labor. When she brought it back they then said it would be another 8000 to fix the real issue. I then requested a refund of just the labor even though the part was not needed they refuse stating “that will never happen” and proceeded to try to sell me on a lesser repair option. I lost total confidence in their ability to really know what was going on. . I said no that I wanted the refund of the labor and would get a second opinion before moving forward. Again I was told that won’t happen. I said you just lost a customer and “Mike” replied I don’t take threats very well.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONSUMER BEWARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Approximately four weeks ago, I brought my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee to Redhawk Auto Service, located next to the 7-11 on Apis Rd in Temecula, for rough idle. I was charged $189 for the diagnostic and told I would be contacted with the results. The next day I received a call from the shop advising that the #2 cylinder showed low compression and that it would cost me an additional $1,500 for the service tech to tell me what was causing the issue, but that it was likely a lifter or value issue which would require a replacement engine. I opted to pay for the diagnostic and seek a second opinion. Good thing I did, because the new mechanic stated there was nothing wrong with the engine’s compression and he doubted that Redhawk even checked the compression. After replacing a fuel injector and timing solenoid, total cost $620 (including a second diagnostic) my Jeep has been running like its old self again. I brought this matter to the attention of Redhawk’s service manager who stated he would investigate and get back to me. I am still waiting. The lesson here is stay clear of shady auto repair shops like Redhawk, only interested in relieving you of your hard-earned cash. Redhawk is the reason auto repair businesses have the shady reputation they do. Do your homework and locate a reputable shop. You have a better chance of buying a winning Lotto ticket at the 7-11 next door than expecting an honest analysis of your vehicle’s repair needs from Redhawk Auto Service.

Manny did an excellent job discussing the work that needed to be done. Estimate was spot on! Service was done on time and couldn’t be more happy with my experience.

We took our car in for a smog check, and when they returned it, they said the air filter was dirty and needed to be replaced. When we turned the car on, there was a strong smell coming from the AC. I don’t appreciate receiving my car back with a new smell that wasn’t present before the smog check.

I just got my propane tanks filled up. As soon as I arrived at the location of the propane storage tank, a very professional young man came out of the shop and filled them up for me and was kind enough to load them back in my vehicle! Haven't used their automotive services yet but will definitely be back.

The experience here was not the best. Staff members don't look at you to talk and are not friendly. I am not here to make friends, but I am a new customer and at least a good first impression you need to do as a business. Came for an oil and filter change.. they asked 1:30 hour at least ... passed already 2 hrs and still waiting on the chairs that stay outside of the building under the sun. I just ask3d why they were taking so long, so they said that they were waiting for the security locker key to check the wheels. They didn't even try to call me to ask... if I don't ask... gosh. Now, let's see if the service is good and there is no leaking after the oil change. The positive thing is that they do a complete report of your car and send it to you by text.

Just switched to RedHawk Auto, as my wife & I winter in SoCal. Scheduling is easy online, for widely available service times. Manny and Alex are friendly, relaxed & very informative about service needs & work done.

I came here about 2 years ago to get my clutch fluid bled. They told me I needed a new clutch. I had gotten my clutch replaced elsewhere 2 weeks before coming here, to which they basically said “nope, you gotta do this, it’s too old and worn down.” They didn’t believe me and kept insisting I needed to spend money on a new clutch, maybe because I’m young. Again, that was 2 years ago and I still have not had any issues with my NEW clutch. I’m sure they do good work but will definitely try to get you to spend WAY more than you actually needed. I now live in Colorado but am visiting and drove by, my car has driven from LA to Colorado multiple times since and I still haven’t had any issues with my clutch. I’d avoid this place if you like keeping money in your pocket.

First of all they are horrible at communicating with their customers and own staff. I had called asking if they do alignments on lowered car. Explaining that the day b4 I had took the car to a different spot that didn’t complete my back alignment. Rick who I was talking to said yeah we could get it done for you if we can get the car on the ramp left the car for 5 hours for them not to do a single thing but called saying it was done. Just to find out they didn’t do an alignment. Also when I got there to get the car they said it wasn’t done so as I was waiting a worker comes up and asked if I’m waiting for a car I said yes pointed out my car and he said oh that car has been ready. Like come on waste of my time.

Brought my 2022 Tacoma Sport to Red Hawk Auto because the engine was shaking and I wanted it diagnosed. I let them know up front that I’m running aftermarket coils and spark plugs. They asked me to bring in my old coils and plugs so they could swap them back in. I didn’t have them anymore, so I told them no worries—I’d just take the truck back. Even though no actual troubleshooting was done, I was still charged a diagnostic fee. What was frustrating is that nothing was really diagnosed. Later on, my buddy in the Marine Corps plugged in an OBD reader, saw it was cylinder 2, and did a simple coil swap to see if the misfire followed. That at least narrowed it down to whether it was the coil, plug, or the cylinder itself—something I expected from a paid diagnostic. As paid professionals of the trade, this isn’t what anyone wants to see. I’ve come to this shop every couple of years with different vehicles, and they’ve never really gotten it right for me. Based on my experiences, I’d avoid this place.

I just moved here from out of state and went to Redhawk to get a smog check. Rick set up a same-day appointment and also took the time to answer a bunch of general questions I had about registration and inspections in California. Service was above and beyond - highly recommend!!

My faith has been restored. I had had my car serviced at Redhawk about six weeks prior. One night the engine light came on, I called and made an appointment the next day. Expecting a hefty bill for something unknown, Redhawk looked into it, found it was a faulty piece they had installed. Redhawk replaced the part at no expense —happy camper!

Brought my car into RedHawk for servicing. My car engine light had come on and my car was driving very rough with the feeling that it could potentially stall. This car shop was recommended by VALVOLINE. I made an appointment online and the process was very easy. Upon arrival, I was greeted by Tony and I told him my concerns. He had his mechanic look into the problem and was able to identify it and also find some other issues that needed to be addressed. He reviewed each issue with me and also provided me with as many applicable coupons for the work that needed to be done. Tony was very helpful in letting me know that if I was unable to pay in full that he worked with some finance companies that I could make an application for financing. That process was also very easy to use. I was able to take my car home after 6 hrs. BTW. Instead of having me wait at the shop, he had LYFT take me home and pick me up when the work was completed. He picked up the charge for that! My car drives like it did prior to all its issue as. Smooth and no weird noises. Thanks Tony & Herb!!! I’ll be back for and oil change and flush next month!!!

I needed professional support to do a mechanical assessment on a used car I was purchasing. As I was driving to Temecula, (2-hour drive), Mike scheduled me in at Red Hawk and they delivered a thorough assessment on the car I was about to buy. These Guys are solid! And I bought the car from a Top-Notch Auto...another Great Temecula company. Thanks Mike at Red Hawk!

My second time going in for service and once again, I was not disappointed. Reliable, friendly service. Mike and Dylan are great! I especially love the texts updates with photos of the services done. That's always appreciated. I will definitely continue to take my car to Redhawk on Apis for future service.👍

I have been using Redhawk Auto exclusively for 20+ years for multiple autos. ** Their new Alignment equipment has given me the best alignment I think I have ever had - very stable at all speed ranges. ** The service has always been excellent both in the shop and the office. Manny is a superior customer representative in the office.

Had an appt at 10 but dropped off my car at 8 since I had other errands. Figured if anything it would it be done by 1130 ish if not possible sooner. I swung by at 1045 to check in and found out it hadn't even been touched. They told me it was next in so I said I would come back. I called back at 1230 because I have plans today and needed my car. They said it still hadn't been touched but was up on the hook. At this point im pretty pissed because there was absolutely no communication. The guy talks to his manager and tells him that there is 1 in front of me still (which i overheard) so that means they lied for the past 2 hours about my car being next. The fact that I had an appt at 10 and my car sat there for 5 hours untouched is rediculous. They offered NOTHING for the hassle. Never going back.
