I have used this business multiple times now for several different vehicles. I purchased a used car for my younger sibling and they looked it over and told me honestly what could be done and what was recommended and what i didn’t really have to do. They were super honest with me and also referred me out to an alignment place. That vehicle runs and sounds like brand new. Then a clients car battery died at my salon (I’m located right across the street) and they ran over and charged her battery for us. Then i needed an oil change for my Audi that costs wayy more anywhere else in town they called around and got the parts for me and charged me much less than the competition. They wouldn’t even take my tip. I cannot express how helpful and honest they have been to me and my clients. I highly recommend this business!

I took my car in for a tune up and I was nervous because I got an estimate from another place and I thought it was too much so I decided to go to a local shop and see what estimate they would give me. It was WAY cheaper than what the other place was trying to charge me. WAY cheaper. Not only did he do a great job but he checked my tires my windows wipe liquid fluid and even noticed something else that was clearly in need to be replaced but gave me a price showed me online where I can find it cheaper and said if I buy it and bring it he would put it on for me and give me a discount. Because it’s not that hard to replace but other places tent to over charge for simple things. I thinks he has a GREAT SHOP! I will take the drive from Elgin to Rockford anytime I need great work done at a great price! Thank you to the owner Matt for always being there to help and explain everything that is being done.

I would highly recommend Reliable Auto Care. Matt has always been fair and honest when fixing my cars, always contacts me to let me know step by step what needs to be done and The cost of how much it's going to be. I definitely trust Matt with all my Mechanical needs. I also had my Radiator blown and my car was unable to drive. And it was really cold out and I was stranded on the other side of town and Matt gotta hold of a tow truck for me, and they were there within the hour to transport my vehicle to his shop. Hands down the Best Mechanic I know!!

I have a couple of cars that I have had work done to here. One of them was a transmission replacement. I am satisfied with the work I’ve had done and was hoping to keep using Reliable Auto Care as my go to mechanic. I called to try and get one of my cars in for an oil change and Matt said that they don’t do oil changes. If I can’t bring my cars here for regular maintenance I guess I’ll have to go somewhere else. What a shame.
