The biggest scam artists. Will overcharge you trying to be slick & try to sell a service that doesn’t need to be done. Do your own research before EVER going to a mechanic. These guys are the worst & will lie to your face when you put them on the spot of how much parts actually cost. CROOKS CROOKS CROOKS!

Brought in my car for NYS inspection, failed me for windshield wiper blades. ‘I agreed’ in order to pass inspection that they be replaced. I was charged $65 for 3 wiper blades installed. I find that to be outrageous and unacceptable. I would not recommend but all these shops seem to be the same. Don’t even ask me about Technical Auto on Richmond Rd, even worse.

The worst, Joe was rude and didn’t bother even trying to listen on the phone. Tried telling me that the problems with my car had nothing to do with the battery, didn’t change the battery and now I’m stuck with a car completely dead. I only recommend coming here if you want your car left of worse than it was before

I’m surprised you have a single star. I’ve dealt with these scam artists twice. The first time, my wife’s car there for inspection and they completely overcharge me over $1000 for a job someone in Tech school could accomplish. Second time, complete trash, customer service was direct and condescending. I just moved here and know the costs. A shame they’ve been in business so long. If you’re new to Staten Island or you care about pricing, DO NOT GO

Service is consistently reasonable and friendly. This past December they were so kind helping me fix a broken tail light because I had to travel that day and needed to repair it quickly. They went above and beyond to help. It is a comfort to me knowing they are there. I find them so easy to work with compared to the dealerships for repairs. Thank you!!!

I used to own a repair shop on Staten Island. Unfortunately a situation caused me to close down. At the time the original owner Joey still owned Richmondtown service center. Any customers I was still in contact with I told them to go there because the original owner joe Raia , not sure if that is right spelling, is a very honest and trustworthy business man. Because of this he would take good care of me when I brought my own car in for service. Well he sold business to his employee Joe D. Whenever I called him to get a price on something he would get very nasty with me. He claimed I told him I was coming in for u-joints on my truck. I was planning on it but my drive shaft snapped by my work near the meadowlands in New Jersey so I wound up putting in a used driveshaft myself on floor at my work Forgot to let him know. Next time I called about my sons car he gave me a ridiculous price on a front brake job. About 200 dollars higher then anyone else. I just recently called for a price on a starter job on my car. He told me to SCREW YOU and hung up on me. The service is not the same since Joe D bought the business. I do not recommend anyone to use this place Customer service is a big part of the business. I did not want any favors or special treatment just to be treated fair and nice. I will never recommend anyone to go there again

I’ve been customer here for nearly 15 years, having once been a neighbor of the previous owner. I knew Joe D from previous dealings and didn’t hesitate to call him two weeks ago when something was up with my brakes. He assured me he’d take a look at them as soon as he was able, and after a thorough look, he identified the issue. The communication was good and I felt confident in his diagnosis of the issue. I appreciate the time he took to explain what he did. As a woman who knows nothing about cars, it can be overwhelming to be faced with an unexpected problem. I drive a Tucson. My clock and date stopped working back in march randomly one day. Made the appointment to take it to island auto group where I bought the car and they did nothing to fix the issue but had zero problem charging me almost $300. I brought it to Joe’s shop, explained everything to him, and he went so much out of his way to even google how to fix my issue. And he DID!!!! If you want family service, and proper service..bring your car here. He doesn’t look to get money out of you. Their goal is to make sure their customers are SAFE and happy! I’ve been coming here for years and so does my dad and my sister. We’ve never had an issue. 10/10 stars for me!

So grateful to have found Joe. While driving through S.I., my KIA began randomly shutting down mid-drive on the highway. I managed to make it to Richmondtown service center (thankfully only a few miles away) & Joe took me right away. He was kind, thoughtful & clearly knew his stuff. My goal was a temporary fix so I could make it to my destination on time (and get the car more thoroughly serviced later), & Joe did just that. 100% recommend.

What a great place to go for your car!! I was in the neighborhood thought I’d go in for an oil change! - the gentleman Cole was kind and helpful and got my oil change done quick!! The owner Joe even came and talked for a few! How nice!! I first walked in and met Roy - very helpful! Even got gas from Clarence who is as sweet as pie!! I am def going back there again for all of my car needs!!!
