I bought my first bike from Riverside Bike & Skate 30 years ago. The excellent quality products and outstanding service they provide hasn't changed at all in that time. Owner Pat was able to find exactly what I was looking for...in stock!! Additionally, they had all of the accessories I needed as well (shoes, pedals, bottle cages, locks, packs, bells and whistles!) Dana and Collin were very helpful in finding me the right gear and getting me set up to get rolling. I really appreciated their time and attention considering how busy the shop was. I've only ever purchased my bicycles and accessories from Riverside Bike & Skate and I plan on continuing that trend in the future! Thanks again Pat, Dana and Collin for your amazing service! I am one very satisfied customer for life!

stopped by to get a price on a bow hatch cover for my kayak. They took my info and said someone would get back to me. No word and no replies to 3 emails. I would NOT do business with this company since their customer service appears to be non-existent. Spend your money where service is a priority.
UPDATED 4/14/23 - appears issue was caused mostly by non-communication. After contacting the manufacturer, I got a call right away from Riverside saying they had my part. Called and they shipped it to me. While I didn't like how to whole process went down, I did get my part. Just wish they would have responded to my emails and in-person request for them to call me before ordering the part (in case it was an outrageous price or something). As always, best to keep the customer informed.

I’ve been very pleased with services from Riverside, tube replacements and tuneups mostly. They are always friendly and offer quick but thorough service. Sales and repair staff have been honest and not pushy about extra work or more expensive gear. Overall I recommend Riverside and will be back this season for new tires and a yearly tuneup.
EDIT: The quality of this business has dropped sharply. I can no longer expect the kind of customer and repair service I had experienced in the past. 1. Workers have been extremely rude to me the last few times I have been in. 2. They completely forgot about my bicycle, I had to call and request they work on it after letting it sit for two weeks. 3. They have completely ignored my email messages, with no response after a week. I emailed some photos to request an estimate for a repair job.
Overall the best place in the area is Spring Street in Chippewa. I will go back to bringing my bike over to the next town because Riverside can no longer be trusted as a quality business. Shame

It's always a 5 star. Pat and those he has there to help are informed, educated m, knowledgeable, and they always do an amazing job sharpening skates. Not to many places you can go and they remember your name and give you great customer service. We've been going here for years for hockey stuff and will continue to go for as long as they are there.

Since I have moved to Eau Claire I have always gone to Riverside Bike & Skate for all of my cycling needs. Their staff is always super friendly and more than happy to help with anything from changing a flat tire on my E-bike to helping mend a broken seat post. Absolutely 10/10 recommend this shop and their skilled and knowledgeable team!

I took one of my bikes in for brakes...brakes, and they did not want to fix it, but after I told them I have a Trek Marlin 5 and spent $65 on that "gold plated" seat they said they would do my brakes. However, in less than an hour they called, and I missed the call, so they called back at 9:30 am when they open, and told me again, "we're not going to fix your bike, do you want us TO DISPOSE OF IT for you?" This really offended me as I had told them I was fixing it to GIVE to a needy person that has no transportation.
I told him flat out that my review of them would reflect the actions of the last two days. He did not care.
Terrible service, no respect for others, go spend your hard earned money somewhere else. If you aren't prepared to spend big money they don't want you around. He was hoping I would turn around and BUY a bike from him. I will fix it myself, probably better than they would have anyway. I looked...parts are definitely available.
All this...for BRAKES. Not good.

The team there was incredibly helpful! Our RV dealership gave us the wrong keys for our Thule racks and they helped us by lemding us their master keys to test out and see which one we needed. When we finally got the right one they recommended we just order new keys.
Friendly neighborhood service and didn't talk us into buying new lock cores.

Staff was super helpful and friendly! This is the first time I bought a more "serious" bike and they are extremely knowledgeable on what a person is looking for. Within 5 minutes I was already on a test drive, and within 10 I was already walking out the door with the bike I bought! Will definitely come back here for my biking needs!

do not take your bike here unless you know exactly what you’re looking for and make it abundantly clear what needs to be done.
I took my bike in four times now, I asked for a tune up and then to address other problems with an old bike i recently bought. I asked them to make any changes that need to be done to make this a daily driver. They left brakes completely the same , and did not change the chain or lubricate it. I came back a few weeks later and was spoken down to. The chain was fixed and I appreciate that they waved the labor fee in that instance.
During the time up I had a new bike seat put on the bike. Just now i was taking a completely routine turn into my driveway and my seat rotated >90° and put me off the bike and could have seriously injured me. Not impressed with this shop and I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Our son is abnormally tall and we are trying to teach him to ride a bike without training wheels. We have tried a few different sized bikes and the seat doesn't go high enough for his size. My husband and I have been on the hunt for a longer seat post for him and we have tried to contact a few different bike shops for help and all fell short except for Riverside. The fellas here went above and beyond to resolve our issue and help our son and his seat issue. Our son is now cruising effortlessly on his bike and we're finally so much closer to losing the training wheels! We can't recommend this place enough. True angels work here! Plus, there's the sweetest doggo that roams around the store. He himself is enough for a visit.

11-3-2022 Another update. Again I am reminded about why we bought 4 bikes at Riverside Bike... not only the quality of the bikes but the SERVICE...........Big thank you to Brian and Pat for rescuing my bike and me by the Paper Mill. (and also the great young lady that picked up my bike.)Updating my reviews.....My husband and I just again bought two bikes here from Pat and Brian (and crew) They are the new Pegasus E-Bikes. We will now be out of Eau Claire because of the vast range we can now go. They are awesome, well made and again we have the excellent service of Riverside Bike and Skate. We were very happy with our Trek bikes from several years ago but are now looking forward to the Pegasus E-Bikes. Thanks again to Pat for extending our biking range. These guys did a great job fixing up my hardtail. I took it in to address some play in the headset and a rear derailleur that kept coming out of adjustment. They called me right as my ticket was due just a week later to let me know the bike was complete, and gave me a super reasonable price on the work. After a headset bearing/crown race replacement and some rear derailleur adjustment, everything is working better than new and I’m having worry-free shreddies on my hardtail. I’m an experienced rider and even after some hard riding and trail abuse, my shifting issues have disappeared and my headset stays rock solid. Would highly recommend these guys for your bike needs! I will definitely be going back if I need anything, thanks Riverside!

I highly recommend this shop! I have bought several bikes from Pat & Brian. Our bikes range from recreational riding bikes to electric commuting bikes to carbon fiber gravel racing bikes (as well as a few others). I am always treated professionally and have never been pressured to buy a more expensive bike. Honestly, it is a treat to visit the shop and to talk with the guys and dream about the next bike adventure!

My partner and I have been all over looking at e-bikes and we landed one night at this bike shop. The owner was very pleasant, professional, blunt, and went through each bike. Granted he is busy but made sure to go over everything thoroughly. My partner is a huge guy so he was able to put together a bike for the next day. He let us test ride the bikes and my partner ended up choosing a different bike. Owner had no issue with this and made adjustments where needed. When we picked up the bikes he rewent over everything. Had us test ride the new ones again and made adjustments where needed. Helped us with our bike rack and we went over warranties. For price and warranty he is the best around. We both would recommend this shop. Go when you have time because you will need patients but I’m telling y’all it’s worth it.
