In regards to iClean solutions review..... The timing chain jumped in his motor and had bent valves in the cylinder head. I shared countless options for his situation. Ranging from rebuilding his cylinder head (which is unknown how many valves are bent until the motor was disassembled) to getting a rebuilt head or a used motor. I shared that depending on the option he took the prices would vary. iClean told me to start taking the motor apart to see the extent of the damage. We took the timing cover off & found that 2 metal tabs on the inside of the timing cover were worn down an inch on both sides meaning there is metal shavings all through his motor at this point.... they owed more money on the vehicle than it was worth and after the find of the metal throughout the motor they decided to not fix the vehicle because it had 160k on it. I spent countless phone calls and time sharing the extent of what he could be faced with after the head was repaired.... our tech had just over 3hrs plus probably another half hour install the motor mount to actually push the vehicle out of the building. The book time to replace a timing chain is 7.2 hours..... not 30 minutes.....

Great group of guys! They always go above and beyond. Many times they have done research with the dealer to see if the repair would be covered under warranty. The shop is always clean and well kept. They even vacuum my car every time I get it serviced!!!

Initially I gave Romies a 5 star rating but I was really upset when Jeff started quoting different amounts every phone call we had. First $2000 then $2500 and then maybe over $3000 but he couldn’t assure that I wouldn’t have further problems. Upon telling him that I wasn’t going to spend over $3000 for a job he couldn’t assure was going to actually fix my problem, he quoted me $315 dollars for checking codes and literally removing a few parts that couldnt have taken more than 30 min to do...with all that said my overall experience is a 3 star experience at Romies. I wish I would’ve gotten a more precise quote and I did not think $315 was fair for what they did but I paid and didn’t say anything because everyone has the right to charge whatever they want but I’m just letting people know that I feel they overcharged me once i wasn’t interested in fixing it there.

Hidden gem auto repair shop in downtown Nashua. Seriously this place blows away brand name service centers and dealerships. I’ve had too many experiences with dealerships and name brand shops who charge way more and leave you always wondering if you are getting ripped off or if your car is really being serviced well. The guys at Romies are not only experienced car guys but are very service oriented. The shop and waiting area are clean and comfortable and the techs are friendly. They explained what they were doing and why and then backed up their words by showing me the parts or showing me the car. They found problems and over charges from Jiffy Lube and Pep Boys, even reviewing my receipts from those places . Most importantly they never tried to “sell” me anything, but instead just explained what was happening. That built trust. I’ve definitely found the service center for my cars.

I have been bringing my car to Romies for years and have always been happy with the service. They have fair prices and I know I can trust that if they say something needs to be done, it actually needs to be done. Romies will NOT recommend work just to turn a penny. I still bring my car here even though I moved to Boston and plan to do so for as long as I am in driving distance. Highly recommend.

They do excellent work, they are always honest with me. I would definitely recommend them. I called them today (11-25-22)because my check engine light came on in my car on the way home. Came to Romie's auto repair after having bad luck at 2 other local mechanic business's. Jeff , was straight and to the point at what I needed for my Saturn Vue. The price was very low compared to other places that I priced out. Brought my SUV in at 8:00am , and it was done at 9:00am. Jeff called me back and told me I need some other work done . He gave me q good estimate. One thing I did notice was this shop was very clean and the waiting room was clean and comfortable. This place is very well organized. Romie's Auto Repair is now my go to place to get my vehicle repairs done

The owner Jeff is amazing! I got a flat tire yesterday afternoon and Jeff so happened to be driving by! Pulled right over jumped out and changed it for me! In a suit and all! I offered to throw him a little cash but he insisted on changing it for free! He was very kind. Jeff went above and beyond to help me out on a hot Sunday afternoon! What a great guy! Jeff at Romie’s helped us out of a bind another shop put us in. Not only did they diagnose the correct issues within 10 minutes of looking at it, they did the best they could to get us back on the road for a 1500 mile road trip we were taking same day. They did more in an hour than the other shop did in 3 days. Seriously cannot recommend these guys enough. They will be getting our business again for sure.

Whether a local or in surrounding areas and beyond. Romie's is THE place to goto for all your mechanical needs from state inspection to regular maintenance and those times your vehicle just decides its time for something to need repair. Jeff is absolutely amazing and will strike up a conversation with you while your in the waiting area. He is extremely transparent about what needs to be done and why but also will be honest about a time frame for getting it done so he isn't all about the money like most other places. The other employees are just as great as well but I didn't get as much interaction with them as Jeff so perhaps next time I shall and can update this review.
