I've had nothing but good experiences here at Roopair. Josh, Dan and everyone I've spoken with have been nice and helpful and the technicians are quick when getting an oil change on the order of about 20 minutes. I highly recommend this shop for your Subaru. Edit: March 2024, still getting work done here. Josh and the team are excellent.

My only regret is not calling Roopair sooner. My car needed a new steering rack. Glad I called because they were clear on the cost, and since they know Subarus, knew what needed repair unlike my previous mechanic. I also needed a new battery because of how long my car sat and they corrected my clock. It's a little detail but one I super appreciate and noticed.

I take excellent care of my Subaru Outback. Many people have commented that it looks brand new - it’s a 2002 Limited model. I took my car to them several times, this time was to adjust the alarm system. Bulbs in my dash that light the temperature/ heating gauges were out immediately after they worked behind the dash to adjust the original alarm system. I noticed it even before I left their lot. I went back in to notify the young guy behind the counter ( Josh). Josh said it was “just a coincidence” and would not take responsibility. Fast forward 6 years later, the same bulbs magically came on, albeit more dimly. So his excuse of “ well it’s an old car with old bulbs,” was just an excuse to not go back in to repair what they messed up. I knew the bulbs were out because of them messing around behind the dash and it wasn’t a coincidence. Josh also tried to scare me into buying a new transmission from them, saying I “might get thrown through the windshield” if the transmission fails while on the highway. I got a second opinion and guess what? No transmission issue. By the way… 8 years later and no issues with my transmission. Don’t trust them, especially if you are a female. Other reviewers said they were “honest”- well….. not to me.

Roopair Specialties repaired my Subaru that another shop had said they serviced and charged me. Yet after driving for less than 50 miles the car was acting up. I called Roopair. They got my car in right away. They showed me the parts and explained what was wrong with the car. I gave the okay to go ahead and make the repairs. The cost was less than the first shop that didn’t do the work. After working with Roopair Specialties I will never take my Subaru anywhere else.

Best Subaru shop in Tacoma, had a rebuilt motor put in my old 2007 Subaru couple years ago and really liked there service, I now take it there for preventative maintenance servicing and they keep it feeling like new. Very honest shop. Pricing is quite reasonable, people there are very courteous and friendly. There shop is very organized and clean. Recommended for any Subaru owner.

Very pleased with my experience at Roopair. I took my Crosstrek in for AC repair. I was quoted $1,900 at the dealership for a new compressor and Roopair was able to get it fixed for $400. AC has been running great since. They were friendly and efficient. Will definitely be taking my Subaru back for any future problems.

I love you Roopair!!! Josh and the guys have always been so easy to work with, and SO reasonably priced. My older Forester had a laundry list of issues, and I kept bringing it in for one thing and would mention the next thing on the list and they just casually fixed the secondary issue TWICE! They were cool about using parts I sourced myself if necessary, professional, kind and knowledgeable. I’m so thankful to have them as a resource, they have a customer for life!

I have been taking 03 Outback to Roopair for about 12 years now and they are the reason it's still running with 245,550 miles on it. I am grateful to have a shop like them, they are knowledgeable and honest and Josh is always transparent on the issues and where we are with things as my car ages and explains in detail, which I appreciate. In the recent months I have had some issues arise and stopped by with no appointment for a diagnosis and they they were able to get me taken care of and back on the road.
