I have an 08 Prostar first took it to these shop i was charged a thousand something truck ran okay for a week or so, then took it to El Paso Border International and they claim it was the Doc so they replaced it after almost a charge of 2000.00 ,truck ran okay for a few weeks and now the same problem, warn engine light with triangle? Now what? Truck loosing power. I'm starting to really loose faith on International, is there a really good dealership out there that can fix my problem once and for all? Or are they out there to make money from u and just make stuff up so u can back again and again?

I see a few comments on here relating to timeliness of repairs and thought I would relate my experience earlier today. I have a 2012 ProStar with the Maxxforce 15 engine. I showed up at 0730 when they opened with my stop engine light on and that incessant beeping that drives us crazy. My DPF filter alarm had been previously sounding and I couldn't force a regen cycle. The engine had also begun to derate which means I couldn't maintain highway speeds. My experience started off like most shops with a service writer telling me that he probably couldn't get to my truck till tomorrow. He was full of excuses why he couldn't. When I attempted to review the check-in paperwork before signing it, he tried to hurry me through the process by repeatedly saying "Just sign it" I asked for another service writer and the difference between the two of them was like night and day. All I heard from the new service writer, P.Sanchez, was that we can and we will. He was with me every step of the way answering any questions I had and keeping me updated on the tech's progress. Best of all? I was out of there that late afternoon! If the General Manager R.Rosas is reading this, I want you to know that my negative experience was turned into a positive one, due entirely to the efforts of one man. I write this review, in part, to recognize him. You should too. It's because of him that you now have a return customer.

Buy a 35,000 dollar intl prostar truck (3) ask for a simple part number but company policy says no, cant help. Not only did I call another out of town dealer in matter of seconds supplied the part number as well as quote 40% of their over 400 dollar price. . Not to mention other means of getting any part number. Thanks for the no sale.

The service department rarely takes calls, and when the call goes thru they hang up or leave you on hold for ever. Not to mentioned they take forever to work on your truck. I don’t know why but in Laredo they suck.

We had to two our truck to Rotex and it was a nightmare until our truck was in the service bay. Rene and his team were to the point, had the truck diagnosed in a timely manner and had us fixed ahead of schedule. great job guys, thanks again. JMSA team

2014 ProStar International first visit all they had to do reset a code, that took a week of excuses, they tried telling me that it was the injectors when I threaten to take the truck somewhere else I told them the truck drove fine with that code on for more than 2000 miles after I got into it with them they finally got it out IT TOOK A WEEK just to reset a code. Now my truck is in the shop for a battery change well the stories have begun first day I was told it was in diagnostics that supposedly took all day, called the next day all they did was charge the batteries all day, next day all they did was remove the batteries, next day install batteries, day 5 checking the charging system still not done, take in mind I have been calling twice a day, AutoZone can charge and check batteries in 6 hours, the truck has 4 so if they have only one machine that would take 24 hours and the next day to check them install or reinstall this shop is ridiculous full of lies they like to milk it specially if the its under warranty or a big trucking company because I'm sure they charge top dollar for Labor Hours.

This is my second visit at Rotex. I am bringing new motorhomes for recalls from Optimum RV in Robstown. Both times they brought us right in and the service is quick. Both International dealers in San Antonio and Victoria wouldn't even answer the phone. Thank you Rotex for your superb and speedy work!

Slow service, they tell you your truck is in the shop while they whole time it's sitting outside untouched. Be prepared to wait a long time or drop the truck off for days. Seems they take care of local drivers and vendors first.

If I could give it zero stars I would. Worst experience ever! The service manager Robert basically told me I was screwed on warranty and could not give me an explanation as to why our ecm that was purchased with them was not programmed correctly the 1st time had to take back for a 2nd time. When they decided to say we tampered with it . Screwed me over $3000 . Only reason why I had purchased was because I needed it asap for my customer. Will be my 1st and last business opportunity I ever do with them. Zero customer service no solution whatsoever. Additionally they wanted me to pay an extra 150 for freight to send to Cummins to see if it was missing anything. After they had already screwed over $3000. Stay away from this place. Reported to Cummins already. They should not be a dealer of such a prestigious brand.

Slowest service you will ever experience. Trucks just stand here forever. Takes days on days to do a simple service. Walk randomly by the mechanic bays. You will see maybe one mechanic working at one truck, if any at all. They take their sweet time like these are not work trucks. Don't come here unless you have no other choice. Any other place will have more respect for your time. Avoid this place at all costs.

4 * just because of the lack of parking for trucks hooked with a trailer. The people are very nice, efficient, all with a great attitude. I recommend this place, but if possible don't go with a trailer, in my case I didn't have a choice, so I parked on street, there's no sign that says no parking, just a bit of a busy street.
