They charged me $1,200 for a thermostat my car didn't even need. Also had my car for 3 weeks for some reason and never once called me to tell me it was done or provide any updates.The worst garage I have ever been to by far. Do not go here.

I came to Ruth’s for a general inspection of a newly purchased car. At drop off, I signed an invoice with the tentative price of $180 for the comprehensive inspection. They told me it would take 1-2 hours. 6.5 hours later, I called (they had not reached out) and they said it was just finished. They charged me $240 ($259.20 after tax) at pickup, saying it took longer than expected. This should be a general service, with a set amount of hours allotted and thus a finite fee. How is it my fault that the inspection took longer? A NYS inspection costs approximately 1/8-1/9th the amount. While this is understandably more comprehensive, it doesn’t warrant the price. I will not be returning.

Ordered tonneau cover with a deposit. Received a text a couple of days later that is hard to find the latching system ordered and they would get back to me asap to let me know status. Over the next week or more I called three times and left voice messages with a request for call back, no response. I had to stop by in person to find the older model wasn’t easily found. I up graded to the newer model and was told two day delivery then install. Over a week later once again I had to check in person for response After paying for install I found it was leaking and returned, was again told they would call when they could get me in for a fix it. Another week later I returned in person again. They applied some silicone. Still leaking. Not happy.

The woman answering the phone was extremely pretentious and tried to tell me no shop offers free courtesy inspections. She also tried to charge me an hour's labor for a five-minute vehicle check. The shop itself may be fine. The one-star is just for her.

At first I thought this business was very knowledgeable and I took my car back to them with multiple problems as my car was an older used car I had bought cheap. I spent over 2000 dollars with them, and during a new battery installation, for which I supplied the battery, the mechanic apparently didn't check the battery cables and terminal ends. I was having a starting problem and even when I went to pick the car up, after waiting for the car for 2 months, it wouldn't start. I asked them to keep it and fix the starting problem but he refused. His advice was just drive it every day! Well you can't drive what you can't start up! So I got the car home and took it to our local dealership where they found that the problem was the battery cables were corroded and worn and the terminals were not making good contact with the battery posts. It starts and runs fine now but no thanks to Ruth's Automotive.

I tried using the shop for a few months now. Every single time I bring a vehicle and it comes out with a new issue. They sit there and hold a vehicle for months at a time. I give them a spending cap and they blow right past it without contacting me. Extremely unprofessional and Very terrible service. Stay away at all cost.

Great place great people, Paul is a very knowledgeable guy and he’s got rlly good guys they actually had to modify the brackets slightly to make it so I could still open my cargo boxes but did it perfectly. I would recommend this place all day. Now the snow won’t pile in the back thank baby Jesus.
