I'm only rating this only as customer service - when a customer comes in for only a oil change and leaves hearing noises that wasn't there when he checked it in - i called upset about the noise but Bridget the customer service tech was being rude cutting in while i was talking and than hung up- than going in the second time so they can fix it - she was still rude and told the manger if she could stop talking to me and also have some eles over looking my car - the tech was great but the customer services tech was one of the worst I have ever came across- if the owner would like to view what I recorded- how bad the service was let me know - the post I got after I posted this - it wasn't the tech I had issues with it was the rep that was handling this - she was rude and nasty on the way she handled this - the tech did an amazing job -

Started off rough with a bad experience, but after speaking with the service manager and some additional training on N models everything was rectified. Much better service this time and went above and beyond to make it right. Will definitely continue using Smart for service in the future!

You’re not allowed to ask basic questions about your own car because you’re not “going through them” for the maintence even though they’re the only ones who have done previous maintenance before. I’m sorry we’re active duty military during a government shutdown and want to fix some things ourselves. Thank you for your inconsideration Hyundai of Davenport!

These days I'm reluctant to believe reviews since most seem to be either bad-faith surveys where you feel pressured into "nothing less than 10 in all categories!!" or reviews originally lower, then with intervention from the seller/provider to make things right, the review adjusted upwards. That being said: It is very important to me that if I take the time to write a review, it's honest about the experience - positive or negative. All this was a long preamble to say: Trust this review. I have very rarely experienced personal ownership and care about my issues and experience than I have from at Smart Hyundai's service center in Davenport - specifically from Chloe Gamber. In the appointment itself she was attentive, familiar with the background of my car and the reason for my visit, on top of advising me of expected completion time and status updates throughout. This is all 'good' level care. What really set the service she provided apart for me happened the next afternoon when she texted me to verify everything was going well with my vehicle and what was serviced (it was). Personally I think that level off attention reasonably ends at the end of the appointment. To follow up a day later when issues are typically experiened - vs waiting for the customer to call in - really set this service aside for me. It never felt forced or faked, in service of any surveys. Since then I had a couple of other appointments and experiences where she went even further beyond as an advocate for her customer and made a claim for my vehicle for an issue I hadn't even noticed yet. I have to say: I've owned "better" brands and models of vehicles than my current Hyundai but have never felt more appreciated nor cared for than the service I've received from Chloe and her colleagues at Smart Hyundai's service center. These days care can be spotty. When commendable care is provided it should be praised. Chloe is a huge asset to their team and elevates the level of care provided.

DO NOT GO ANYWHERE THIS PLACEFOR ANYTHING!!!! If I could give zeros I would. First off the customer service desk is always rude! Bridget is her name and even the other girl. Both very rude, condescending and do not give this place a warm feeling. I am not sure why they have jobs still honestly. I’ve grown up in customer service and been in the thick of dealing with customers and I’ve never been treated more rudely than at smart Hyundai . This is enough for the zero rating. I want to start by saying just don’t buy a car here. I bought a car in 2022 (exactly 4 years ago) and have had issues from the beginning. When I bought the car it was a year old and they were going to put 4 new tires and replace the bumper on it because it had a crack in it. The service and customer service is negative . I had to call multiple times to get the tires they promised and the said they would call when the bumper came in and after 5 weeks I called and the said they already put the bumper on and they have the receipt and service ticket showing it. I told them I have never been called and they made me come in and show them the bumper is still cracked!!!! I wish this was where it ended but no. Every single time I’ve taken my car in they have either tried to charge me for something I didn’t ask them to do. I mistakenly bought the dealer warranty, what a trap. I spent $4000 and they promised to cover any issues that are not wear and tear up to 120,000 miles. This last Friday, we took the car in for serious defrost issues. We have tried everything to get the defrost to operate properly but it doesn’t. Windows fog up and nothing works except rolling down the back windows. In some cases the condensation is freezing on the inside, absolutely miserable. Everything we researched said this is a functional safety issue that needs to be repaired by the dealership and should’ve covered in the warranty. When my husband and I took it to the dealership we asked them to do the transmission flush they said had to be done to keep the warranty. I asked her how much that was and she quoted me $289 and that if any other charges would be encountered they would get them approved by us first. The car was there all day Friday with no updates. I called at 4 for an update and the transmission flush was done but the technician had not been able to figure out the defrost issues. That he topped off the fluids and did a static pressure test. No mention of extra charges and certainly no approval for any charges. She then contacted us and said it will be Monday because this tech won’t be there Saturday. Saturday my husband went in and spoke to the manager to touch base and didn’t get any new information. Monday we get a text saying our vehicle is complete and no issues found. My husband called and they said it was $690 for the transmission flush and the diagnostics!!!!! And we leave with the defrost not working!! I’ve never experienced such incompetence in my life. The manager said that her front desk lady conveyed that there would be transmission flush charges and diagnostic charges. She did not and for them to blatantly say we were lying is another slap in the face. If she would’ve mentioned diagnostic charges I would’ve asked the pricing. My car is under warranty! For what??? It’s a scam and so is this place all around. I could go into the countless issues I’ve had with them in the4 years but the last one has put me over h the edge. I can not tell you enough to not allow your life to endure the abuse and mistreatment of Smart anything.
