Wow. I am so glad I took my rig into Simmons. It was recommended to me by four different people, and I am really impressed. I had multiple issues, difficult ones, and they found and repaired all of them I feel a lot safer taking my rig back out on the trails now. And Danielle, thank you for keeping me updated .Thank you so much, you guys have some great techs. Buy them a pizza lunch! 😎

I have had nothing but good experiences at Simmons. I have had my Land Cruiser repaired to pass emissions, with a carburetor rebuild. One of the very few places that still do this kind of work. Speaking of which, Toyota Land Cruisers are notoriously hard to find quality shops that are not factory Toyota dealerships. I know Tucson is blessed, as some You Tube creators have videos that show them traveling long distances to get their rigs worked on. I have had a blower motor replaced, that had been buggy for years; and also a power steering pump replaced; both of which were not expensive compared to other places that had been quoted. If you have a 4x4; any make, take it to Simmons for a quality repair. I am updating my review to add that Simmons has continued to service my Land Cruiser in the best possible way. If you've ever owned a vehicle from the 80's, you know the crazy emissions control systems that come on some California models. A vacuum leak has been my bane, and they have found more than one for me, without charging me a tone of money. Thanks, Simmons !

Personable, knowledgeable, experienced and honest! Can’t say enough good about them other than just what shops nowadays should offer but don’t! I took my Jeep to 4 other local shops one of which specializes in off-road vehicles but couldn’t find a thing wrong related to my bouncing steering wheel. Within just a couple hours Danelle (sorry if I misspelled) gave me a call and told me what exactly was causing the issue. 4 shops! Now of them could figure out my rack and pinion needed to be replaced. They got on it and I had my vehicle back next day. Again I can’t say enough good of Simmons auto. I’ll be back for everything from oil changes to big repairs simply because of there honestly and great work! Thanks to the entire staff! -Tommy G

My 2014 Ford F-150 developed a growling noise at 167,000 miles that seemed to come from the rear end. I took it to a well-regarded shop in Green Valley and they diagnosed cupped tires. It was going to need tires fairly soon anyway, so I put a new set of expensive tires on it. The growling noise continued. I am a snowbird and was heading back to Michigan right away, so the truck sat in Arizona over the summer and fall. When I returned in December, the growling noise had not miraculously healed, so I took the truck to another well-regarded shop, where they diagnosed a bad right rear wheel bearing. This seemed reasonable, so I had them replace both rear wheel bearings. When I picked the truck up, the growling noise was still there, and one of the new wheel bearings broke within 10 miles. The shop replaced the bearing for free but could not delve more deeply into the problem. They recommended that I contact Simmons 4x4 at that point. I looked at Simmons' Google Reviews and they were excellent. Simmons was able to get me an appointment within the week. I dropped the truck off and they later called me to say that they had found a broken transmission bracket, and it was their opinion that the transfer case had a problem. They thought the noise was actually being transmitted down the driveshaft and manifesting itself in the rear end. This sounded reasonable, so I had them replace the bracket and install a rebuilt transfer case. The total charge for these repairs was just over $2,700.00, which was a fair price in my opinion. However, when I picked up the truck, the growling noise was still there. Simmons told me to bring the truck back and they would make it right. They even provided an Uber to take me home to Green Valley when I dropped the truck off. Two days later, the Simmons manager called and said that they had completely disassembled the differential this time and had found a pinion bearing with flat spots on some of its rollers. They had replaced it and the growling noise was gone. He told me that the bearing repair would normally cost about $1,200.00 and asked me "What I thought would be fair". I basically blurted out, "how about $1,000.00?" and he said, "we can do that". He sent another Uber driver to pick me up in Green Valley to retrieve my truck. I was dreading putting another thousand bucks into this repair, but that's the way it goes when you drive an older truck. I test drove the truck and the noise was gone...FINALLY gone. My truck was fixed! I went to the cashier and pulled out my credit card to pay the bill. To my complete surprise and delight, instead of charging me another $1,000.00, she CREDITED my account $1,000.00. The invoice said, "Customer satisfaction refund for misdiagnosing problem on first attempt". Repairing complicated machinery is as much an art as it is a science. I was never angry or upset at any of the shops that looked at my truck, but it was obviously frustrating and worrisome to keep throwing money at that growling noise and have it still mocking me every time I thought it was fixed. Simmons figured it out. I am writing this review because I cannot imagine EVER having a better vehicle repair experience than I had at Simmons 4WD. They are honest, competent, understanding, prompt, kind and generous in their treatment of their customers. I experienced service that I felt was above and beyond the call of duty and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone who needs a difficult repair done on their vehicle. They are absolutely first rate in my book.

I was quoted $1900 for replacing front struts and lower control arm. They said noise in back was resonating from front!!! Went to a different repair place. They replaced rear struts and realigned front end. $1027. End of problem. Either Simmons is incompetent or dishonest.

This is the best repair center I have been to in Tucson! Great staff, prices, and very honest about the work that will need to be done. The past few years my lifted F-150 has had several issues that other shops claimed to have fixed but never actually solved the problems. When I came into Simmons, Jaren was extremely honest about what needed to be done to the truck and I was quoted for the work. They even have a shuttle to take you home so youre not waiting in the shop for the repairs. During the repair I revived a call from Jaren letting me know one of the things I was quoted on will actually not need to be done and saved me a bit there. When the time came to pick up my truck I was once again surprised because the price had dropped even more and the work that was done to my truck was fantastic! Warranty included! Overall great experience and i will most definitely be coming here for all future work needed.

Excellent service and work done. Had my Ford F250 gas tank, 4 wheel drive, drive shaft and shocks repaired. It was a difficult repair/build and Simons 4x4 were awesome. Work was well done and price came in under the estimate.

I had used them to fix a rear axle leak from both axles recently for my 99' Tacoma TRD Prerunner. They have an outstanding mechanic that specializes in this. I had 2 other shops, and both replaced bearings and seals 3 times each!! I was so frustrated by this time I had little hair left to pull out of my head!! Lol .The Simmons team looked into what the issue was, which they found that one of the shops had put in incorrect axles, and that was the reason why I had the constant leaking. They got new axles and put them in, and it was perfect! As well as finding a bad carrier bearing, which they replaced that I was not even aware of. The ENTIRE team from the front desk to the mechanics TRULY CARE about their customers and their safety. I am very thankful for these wonderful people at Simmons. I will continue to bring my vehicles to them for all of my truck or car needs. They are indeed professional, extremely intelligent, honest, and kind, which is hard to find in any business nowadays. I would love to thank each of the employees who helped with my situation. You make a great team, and I will be sending business your way.

Best automotive mechanics in all of Tucson. I have been to others who could not fix the same problem over and over again. Simmons fixed it the first time. I do not trust my vehicles to anyone else.

Simmons 4x4 staff were able to align my lifted SUV, with bigger wheels/tires, when other shops could not, despite two shops giving it repeated attempts. Their expertise and ability to accomplish the task are rare.

These folks took the time to repair my 2000 Tundra properly. It gave em hell and they rose to the challenge. I'm grateful to have taken my truck to Simmons! Anywhere else might have ruined my vehicle by getting impatient with it and or possibly not done it right.
