Just moved to Nashville from Austin Texas and had no where to go for my car troubles and will do anything to avoid the the dealership prices. But I found Simpsons auto repair on a Google search and brought my car to them and they were very professional kept me updated on What’s wrong with my car and was able to get my car back within two days. I’ll be definitely going back there for any other car troubles or any little things that I can’t figure out myself they earned themselves a new customer.

So I sought out a place with great reviews and that had been around awhile and Simpsons for that bill. I have a ten year old vehicle that the warranty was running out and I knew transmission was going. I confirmed first of all that they would work with the warranty company which is not a given in this town and they did. I explained what I needed I wanted the truck gone over with and one toothed comb and anything wrong addressed. They did exactly that both warranty work and wear out items. Tony and Jim went above and beyond advocating for me with both the warranty company and the owner to make exceptions to their normal business practices to accommodate the warranty company. Let’s just say despite the bad parts supplied by the warranty company they made sure through each step that me and my truck were taken care of even when these bad parts left us on the side of the road after hours! They are 100% transparent with you and never ever mansplained to me as a woman which is very much appreciated. Adding this after today’s trip - I have been complaining about a sucking sound when I step on the break since the day I bought the truck in 2019. The dealer assured me it was nothing but I didn’t like the answer (and lived in DFW at this time) so went to a private shop who said it was just pedal noise sprayed something and it went away for a month then came back. I have had brakes done twice mentioned noise both times and got nothings wrong just pads and rotors from both places. Today went in for something else mentioned this noise again and that brakes were catching low and they were done less than two years ago/25k miles maybe. They actually listened and lo and behold the brake booster was shot!!! Warranty repair that has probably been needed since day I bought the truck 🤬. They are the only place that bothered to listen to what I have been saying and actual discover root cause!! Still needed pads and rotors but they were significantly cheaper than place in town that did em less than two years ago too!!! Will definitely be going back as this truck is my baby and plan to keep it going for at least a five more years! And with Simpsons I know I will be able to!!! 1/23/26 so just before the storm cuz Murphys law rules my world truck blew coolant line immediately left on side of the road. Got it towed in after hours Thursday they got to the truck made repairs cleaned engine compartment and had my truck back to me by 1230 Friday!!! They are truly great folks 😊

I had issues with a tire and had to leave the next morning for a long roadtrip to make a wedding. I wouldn’t be able to come in until after work after 5pm. I called Simpson’s and they told me to come in, despite my GPS telling me I wouldn’t get there until 5:27pm, just a few minutes before they closed. These amazing folks went out of their way to check all of my tires despite it being way over their closing time and were so kind to me about it. I absolutely love this auto shop, and as a woman, it is comforting knowing that they are there and do such amazing work, doing things they don’t have to do just out of the kindness of their hearts. I cannot recommend Simpson’s enough, they are incredible there!!

I was referred by a friend to Simpson’s and I’m thankful for it. These guys struggled through two defective OEM parts they were given by a supplier to fix my car at the originally quoted amount. I was very happy to see they didn’t increase their labor charge to me based on the extra work required. If you are looking for an honest mechanic, you found it.

So a year ago I posted a review explaining the damage and grief Simpsons caused me.They tried to make it right so I took the post down.Recently I have been having code and switch problems with the new dash cluster they installed.They told me it was a Chevy dash and only a dealership could properly set it up.Not only was that a lie but they installed the wrong dash cluster that has caused nothing but issues since.I finally took the truck into a legit mechanic and he set codes with stock software which revealed the cluster throws codes for a"service brake booster " warning.Only.problem is I don't run with a brake booster so the dash is throwing a code for a problem that never existed.Hence figuring out the wrong cluster is in.This has been a costly venture both in time and money.I was met with defensiveness and condescension when trying to discuss with them what the issue was. Definitely will not bring a vehicle there again .Sad because we have 6 vehicles to be serviced consistently.

I've been taking my GR86 for regular servicing here since I purchased it brand new in 2022. My experience was great! Simpson took my car quickly, repaired the turbo engine & discovered my battery needed replacing. The service was expedient, very good, and they kept me informed. It was good to do business with them because they are friendly, prompt, reliable, and trustworthy. I also appreciated the receipt showing what had been done and the cost. They care! I have lived in Nashville for a little under a year and I have struggled to find a decent repair shop that isn’t looking to gouge me do everything I own. Luckily I stumbled upon Simpson Auto Repair. I have had to visit a couple times now due to issues with my car and they have been nothing short of extraordinary. The communication, honesty, and actual work itself have all been incredible. My wife & I have been taking our cars to Simpson's for over ten years. We love these guys. They get you in & out quickly; the service is good and reliable; they don't do work that isn't needed, and their rates are fair. The final charge was reasonable and the bill was fully explained (a rarity in my long experience). We will return to Simpson's for maintenance on our cars.
