I was driving and got a check engine light right alongside sputtering engine sounds and a pretty rough idle. Check engine light seemed to indicate cylinder misfiring. Took it here the next day around 3 or so. By the end of their work day, I got text messages from the shop indicating what they thought the issue was and how to proceed. Got the car the next morning, driving good as new. It's clear from speaking to Islam that he is honest and trying to do right by you. A couple weeks later I brought a friend over to the place who had a small concern because of a warning light in his car. He was driving more than 600 miles that day and wanted to be careful. Islam came to check the car out, did a couple of quick relevant diagnostics, determined that the warning light was a result of previous mechanics not resetting it, and sent him on his way. It would have been easy for him to take advantage of the situation for a quick buck, but he did right by my friend. A good, honest place that is actually trying to just help people out. So, in short: High quality, fast service, and transparent, honest dealings. Highly recommended.

I brought my car to In and Out on Saturday after Firestone and Meineke both diagnosed an internal engine leak causing low compression and a P200 misfire. Neither shops have the ability perform internal engine repairs but they couldn’t initially indicate if it was internal. I explained this to the shop clerk, and told him they can review all previous diagnostic reports that I left near the driver seat. I said this to verify if they did internal engine work before I pay for another diagnostic. The clerk assured me they could identify the source of the issue but I had to drop it off. Understandable. Finally on Monday around 4, I was told the problem might involve a fuel injector leak at cylinder 2 or internal block head in cylinder 2. When I arrived, the mechanic pulled out a camera scope device which I already saw at the other shops, and the clerk relayed information similar to what prior shops had already concluded. I never could speak with the mechanic directly, but the clerk was relaying everything to me. The clerk claimed I didn’t say it had a leak Saturday (despite clearly hearing air escape even when the hood is closed as the engine runs) I also noticed inconsistencies in what the clerk recalled from our initial discussion and what was documented in the reports I provided for the mechanic. So now I’m confused as to why I’m in a seemingly pointless debate with the shop clerk instead of talking directly to the mechanic because clearly the shop clerk isn’t knowledgeable about the situation or fully knows what the mechanic should discuss with me. So I digress, and try to understand how to proceed with the repair because the shop clerk claims the leak is caused by the area under or around the fuel injector at cylinder 2. When discussing repair options, I was quoted over $500 for a “fuel injector replacement” to remove the injectors in order to locate the leak and seal it, not including the $125 diagnostic fee I was quoted Saturday. No fuel injectors were to be replaced. So I requested clarification on why this was not quoted as standard labor time, and all he said was it’s the same. I guess he expected me to just take his word for it. While I appreciated their willingness to inspect the issue, I ultimately decided not to proceed due to the lack of clear communication and transparency in pricing. I’m not willing to spend $700+ for what is basically a fuel injector inspection when the average rate for that job, in this area, is between $290 and $425 for my model car. Especially when their diagnostic report still stated “further diagnostic required” rather than confirming the cause or recommended repair.

Found them on Groupon and called them for brake fluid and coolant exchange. The owner said he would honor the Groupon price if I pay directly to him as I had to also replace front brake pads and rotors. The owner Ray was awesome! He said he will not charge if the rotors or brakes don’t need replacement. He quoted excellent pricing, used all genuine NAPA products and finished everything in 2 hours just before long weekend. Saved me 30% over quotes from Firestone or Tire Discounters and 50% over Christian Brothers. It was worth the drive up there for an honest second opinion and cost effective service. Highly recommend.

Gave them a call last week about coming in to have some advanced diagnostics run for a check engine light (already have the code but looking for further evaluation after another mechanic essentially turned my vehicle away and suggested I take it to a dealer). Rep was friendly on the phone and told me they’d be happy to help. We agreed on coming in Monday morning. According to Google, the shop opens at 9am, so I arrived shortly after that and nobody was there. What was even stranger is that the sign posted on their door says they open at 8am. I tried calling and call went to voicemail. I sat around for a bit and at 9:18 someone finally showed up to unlock and open shop. I followed behind him directly and he was doing something in the back of the shop. I surveyed the shop interior and saw an assortment of cars all over the place in various states of repair without much rhyme or reason. It almost looked like a junkyard. This coupled with the fact that they arrived late, didn’t respond to a call, and didn’t even acknowledge my presence after I stood there for a few minutes caused me to walk out. This was a shame because I specifically drove 30 minutes out of my way to bring my vehicle here based on positive reviews and a pleasant phone conversation, but the first impression of arriving at the shop was enough of a deterrent.

Above & beyond doesn’t even cover it! Islam and his team were so wonderful. They went out of their way to make sure my car radiator was replaced and I was back on the road within 24 hours! It’s great to have a place that you can trust to work on luxury vehicles without the overpriced service cost you run into at the dealership. They were able to source parts directly from Land Rover or I had the option to use an after market part if I wanted to save more money on the repair. They updated me with pictures throughout the whole process and even sent me a picture of their tech purchasing my radiator from Land Rover so I knew it was legit! In N Out Automotive will always have my business! Thanks again guys!

Absolutely OUTSTANDING service. We came from Missouri and our Auid car had one of the sparkplugs explode 6 miles away from the shop. We drove there with the car which was violently shaking. They were able to look at the car when we got there and told us what was wrong and ordered parts + fixed it with in 3-4 hours. Other places told us they could not see us at least till Wednesday and we had to leave the next day. Ahzize did a wonderful job explaining everything and charged an extremely fair price. We were able to get back home safely which is around 300+ miles away from the shop with no issues at all. The men here genuinely know what theyre doing and try to help as fast and as best they can for the most affordable price. If we didn't live so far away I would 100% come here for any car issues. If I could id give 10/5 stars. Words can not describe how thankful we are we were able to find them. They really mean it well you will be in n out!
