I went to Main Street tires in a total panic. Another shop had quoted me $4,000 in unexpected repairs. I was skeptical because they were major issues I didn’t think could have been a surprise. I brought my car to Main Street, they gave it a thorough look and found my car to be absolutely fine. They did not take advantage of my vulnerability and were incredibly kind in my time of panic. I cannot be more thankful for Main Street tires and their trustworthiness which can be hard to find in these situations. I would recommend them to anyone and can’t wait to know exactly where to go next time I need auto service.

Real bummer I have to write this as Front desk lady was great, and I work in the automotive industry and grew up around it. Service was poor and required me to take it to another shop to complete the task correctly. I had them mount 2 tires, and rotate the four tires. It’s a truck that hauls a 800lb Harley Davidson in the bed. Got home and noticed the PSI on all 4 tires was off. Went to fill tires with air and the dash was reading real low psi no matter how much air I put in the tires. Realized they didn’t reset the PSI sensors when they serviced the tires. When I called the owner to tell him what happened he told me he has been doing this for 20 years and never resets the PSI sensors unless the customer asks. This is standard to do anytime you install and rotate tires. Very few customers would know to ask for this. This would have led to an uneven load, and wrong PSI on truck that could have led to a tire blow out and accident. Owner said bring it back in and I’ll do it for $55. I Took it to another shop a few blocks away and they fixed in 5 minutes and charged $20 and said it was standard for any shop to do and a customer wouldn’t know. It’s concerning to think how many people may be driving around Nashville in cars with incorrect PSI on their dash because of this shop.

We were on our way home (3 hours away) & our tire had a flat. Drove here to get our tire plugged and we were in and out in under 20 minutes. Service was great! Friendly staff. :)

Needed new tires and had a bend front right control arm. Instead of replacing the control arm (being the safest option), they just “bent it back as good as we could”, sent me off to get an alignment that only messed up my Silverado more, costing me another $1,800 somewhere else. Nice people but terrible service. Strongly recommend going somewhere else.

Can’t speak highly enough of this business. I was on a spare tire and they didn’t have my tire size in stock. Thinking it would be next day delivery, they called around town and secured my tires same day. Really helped me out with excellent customer service and reasonable prices.

Amazing people who work here!!!! I’m an idiot and locked my keys in my truck in the parking lot next door, they were kind enough to help me out and pulled out an entire kit, I was in within minutes! It was the middle of a workday and roadside assistance was going to be hours, they seriously saved my you know what !!!! Great reminder that we’re all here to help one another, restored my faith in humanity today :)

I was on the road, and had a problem which turned out to be a hanging splash shield. I ran in to Main Street Tires & Services for help. They were so kind, and so quick to fix the issue. I was back on the road quickly. An altogether wonderful experience.

THEY SAVED OUR TRIP!!! We are from out of town and came out in the morning to a mostly flat tire. Fortunately, we were only a few blocks away and showed up at their door just after they opened. They took us in and plugged the tire within 15 minutes and we were on our way. Nice people, cared about us. Very reasonably priced. Really made our day and we could continue on our next 12 hour drive that day. THANKS!!!

Honest and transparent… you don’t find the at much in the after market auto world and these guys are the best. Even helped me figure out how to pay them when I wasn’t in town so I could get my car after they closed. 11/10 would recommend!!!

I brought my Chrysler 300 in for an oil leak around the oil filter housing and paid $700 cash for what I was told would be a permanent fix. Over the course of a few weeks, I had to return to this shop four times because the leak kept coming back. They replaced the housing multiple times, but the issue still wasn’t resolved. On my final visit, they told me there was “nothing more they could do” and suggested I just “keep adding oil every month.” That is not a solution, especially after spending $700. I wasn’t paying just to have parts swapped — I was paying to have the leak fixed. The problem is still ongoing, and now I’m forced to look elsewhere to finally solve it. The lack of accountability and refusal to offer a refund or proper resolution is unprofessional. I gave this shop multiple chances to get it right, but they failed every time. Be cautious if you’re considering this business. Update in response to the owners’ comment: I appreciate the response, but I want to clarify a few things for anyone reading this: Yes, I initially came to the shop because a mobile mechanic had worked on the oil filter housing. I paid $700 in cash here because I was told the leak would be permanently resolved, not just temporarily patched. The shop did the same job three times, but the leak kept returning, and each time I had to bring the car back — wasting my time, oil, and peace of mind. On my final visit, I was told “there’s nothing more we can do” and that I should just “top off the oil every month,” which is not a fix. If the block was damaged or oversized, why was that not identified and explained before charging me $700 or at least after the first failed attempt? Only after multiple failed repairs did they mention the engine block. I was never expecting an engine replacement for $700 — I was expecting honesty, competence, and a working solution for the leak I paid to have repaired. Saying the shop “lost $125” while leaving me with the same issue and $700 lighter isn’t a professional justification — it only reinforces the lack of accountability. I stand by my review and want to caution other customers to be very clear on what this shop can and cannot fix before handing over your money.

I went in to have my fuel pump replaced because I was able to get in right away. I found out why you can get in right away. They aren't very good at all. After they replace the fuel pump the car never quite worked as it did before. I went back in to say it was still having issues with starting up and they told me to just put some fuel additive in. I took it to a different far more reputable mechanic and they determine the actual problem and fixed everything. I would avoid this place at all costs. I had a warranty on the fuel pump and they gave me so much trouble about it that I ended up just getting a new fuel pump with the reputable mechanic.

I would never recommend this business to anyone. I brought my car here for a bumper and headlight repair. They not only replaced my bumper with a plastic, flimsy piece, but they also held it together with ZIP TIES. Which I only discovered a week after picking up my car once I noticed the bumper was falling off again. Not only that, they didn't even replace the ENTIRE bumper and when I confronted them when I picked up my car they said "well we're not paying for that you have to" and acted as though I was wrong for expecting the full bumper to be there?. If I hire you to replace my bumper it is expected that I will pick up the car with the whole bumper replaced. To top it all off, they LOST MY CAR KEY and replaced my Auto Unlock key fob with a regular key. This shop is so unprofessional and crooks. They completely over charged me for this terrible job and took advantage of me. Never ever bring your vehicle here. If I could give zero stars I would.

Quick and honest. Highly recommend. Thought we needed brakes changed as we drove 10 hours to nashville for a trip and they were squeaking. Took the car in and within 10 minutes they called us to tell us the brake were in-fact okay and did not charge us a dime. They could have easily made a quick buck off of us but didnt…. Extremely appreciative of the honesty.

Stay away! I went to this place for 15 years. I sent friends and family to them. I thought we were friends. A couple months ago, they caused $6500 in damages from negligence, refused to pay or take responsibility, and have ignored our pleas for cooperation to remedy. We've filed a lawsuit. A few months back I went in with my 2006 Lexus GX470 for a flat tire. They put the car on the lift, and ended up figuring out that all four tires were slightly dry rotted. So, we bought 4 new tires, and an oil change that day, about $1200 worth of work. When I left, the car rode like an old logging truck. There was no rear suspension anymore. When we brought the car back in for diagnostics and they said it just needed a computer reset, and told me to drive it home; that it would "work itself out". It did not. Amro's next recommendation was to bring it to the Lexus dealer, since he was sure it was a "computer issue". We had it towed, since driving with no suspension felt dangerous. It threw me around the car. At the Lexus dealer, once lifted, the problem was clear. I got called in to look and see that the car's pneumatic suspension system had been crushed. When these cars go on a lift, it says in bold letters in the handbook and in forums all over the internet that the suspension must be turned off, otherwise damage will occur. Amro and team didn't turn it off. When confronted with this fact, Amro said it was a design flaw from Lexus. Can you imagine? A design flaw from Lexus that makes your rear suspension crush your rear axel and causes $6500 in damage that no one in the world but him knows about? This is one of the most popular cars still on the road. Apparently Amro believes he's discovered a design flaw in a 15 year old vehicle that no one else in the world is aware of. We tried working with Amro and Samer asking for them to replace it but were met with only refusal to take responsibility for their negligence. We've issued a demand letter, and had another mechanic sign an affidavit of their negligence. I have a video of the head mechanic at Lexus saying this is because they didn't know what they were doing. When I asked him why he wouldn't just file an insurance claim he said "that will increase my rates!". We've filed a lawsuit now, since they won't respond to the hand-delivered letters from my lawyer. Amro also claimed that no one in the industry would have any idea that this could happen to the car. Have a lot of links that prove him wrong, in addition to the signed affidavit and video I got from two different and independent mechanics. Stay away from these guys, people. They are nice and even charming, until they do something wrong.

Unassuming shop front with incredible service and hospitality. Their pricing was fair and the quality of their work was perfect. As long as I live in East Nashville this will be my go to shop.

Bottom line up front: they charge $150 per hour for labor, which is not something openly disclosed or conveyed up front. The average hourly cost for auto labor in in Nashville is between 60-125 an hour in 2025. Also they charge 4 percent for card transactions. Just be aware, it ain’t cheap. Everything else was good.

I have been going to Main Street Tires & Auto Service for a while now. I can’t say enough about how knowledgeable and efficient the team is. Always reasonable with rates and always a fast turn around. Today I dropped in with two simple issues and within 20 minutes I was out the door with such a fair rate. Thank you Main Street Team for being a great local Tire & Auto Service to our East Nashville Community! I highly recommend them!
