My younger sister called this place to make an appointment for an oil change. She doesn’t have much knowledge about cars, engine and such. Instead of helping her, he would get irritated and tried to charge her 100$ for an oil change. It’s ridiculous for auto shop to lack the patients for a costumer who may not know much about vehicles, and taking advantage of that to rip her off. Disgusting.

The service, professionalism, and over-all experience when dealing with the staff at SK Auto Repair was refreshing. Auto repairs can be stressful and expensive. I went in for an oil change and the service was incredibly fast, under 45 minutes from the time I walked in. The person helping me was friendly and sociable. I had to use the restroom which was clean and surprisingly, even the TV in the waiting room had something interesting that was non-political on. They put the reminder sticker which was printed, so I don't have to interpret it later, and made sure to reset my oil change light. It cost $72 and some change for synthetic, which is a bit higher than I normally pay for a 2008 Impala with a V6, but overall the service and experience was worth it.

Came in with service engine soon light on. They decided not to do a diagnostic test and change the spark plugs and wanted to do replace all fluids, quoting me over $1200… I decided to get the spark plugs done ($600), a day later the light came back on and could not start the suv. Long story short, it was 3 sensors that needed to be replace, cost was $600 total, suv drives fine now. Highly recommend to shop around first…Very disappointed.

Called for an oil change on a Wednesday asking if they accept walk ins. They do but the wait was a while so I asked for the availability on Thursday and was able to get an appointment the next morning. I went in and the guy at the front desk was really prompt in getting me situated. The oil change was quick and took around 30-40 minutes. I just waited in the lobby. You can tell the guys here really enjoy being here instead of other shops with constant grumpy workers. I even asked the front guy a couple questions afterwards about coolant and a potential quote on some electrical repair. He made a great effort to answer all my questions with honesty and kindness. Highly recommend!

It was my first time here, and it was a nice experience. No appointment necessary for an oil change and smog check, I was in and out in less than an hour .... no wait maybe a little more, if at all, because I locked my keys inside my car and they immediately came to my rescue 🛟 and open up my truck in no time. Thank you so much SK Auto Repair! ❤️ On top of all this I got a $20 discount just for the asking (senior discount).

Been there a few times for oil changes. Recently after a break job and oil change, check engine and track off light came on. Brought it back to the shop they wanted 140 dollars to plug in a computer and tell me the problem. Decided no not paying that, ended up getting the computer myself for 60 bucks read the code appears to be a thermostat issue. Would have paid whatever the repair was. I found a coupon a day later for the check engine light diagnosis for half the price at this place. So there you go make you choice. You want to get ripped off by a shop this is the one. Going to find another shop.

SK Auto in Natomas, has been my regular go-to mechanic for approx. 4 yrs. They are the Best! Here is a recent example : My 2010 Jeep went dead after the charging system signal appeared. I had it towed to their shop. diagnosis was alternator and battery. Replaced them both. Picked up the Jeep and drove it the next morning when the same issue occurred. Had it towed back to the mechanic's shop. New diagnosis, needed computer replacement, as this one was knocking out the alternator/causing battery overcharge (my understanding-hope I got this right...ha-ha). They explained they could order/install another PCM, then have a mobile unit come out and program it or take it to a dealership. My choice. I was hesitate to take it to a Dealer after reading all the negative Jeep dealer reviews. I took my chances with SK's recommendation to take it to a Dealer where it would be warranted and further diagnosis if necessary. Thanks SK Team for always looking out for your customers and their best solutions even if it means the job going somewhere else.

They have done everything from Oil Changes to Brake jobs (which they did today on my Silverado), and the quality of the work has always been first rate. Been going to this place for years. Every time I went it was always a big bill never small. I always had this feeling they're not as honest as they seem. We took our car in for over heating. We told them it has a new radiator in it less than a year old. Told them the fan took a crap not coming on probably needs a new fan. They said fan is fine need another new radiator. So they installed new radiator for 1200.00 didn't fix the problem. Took the car to a place near them they said we need a new fan. It fixed the problem. So I threw away 1200.00 on a radiator. Sk is either incompetent or dishonest either way will never go there again.
