Due to unexpected scheduling conflicts with our usual provider, I found myself in need of immediate assistance for our bus. That's when I came across Memo, who had an impressive reputation based on his fantastic reviews. Intrigued, I decided to give him a try, and boy, am I glad I did! Memo arrived promptly this morning and devoted an hour and a half to working on our bus, determined to identify the exact issue. Despite his best efforts, he realized that further diagnostic tests, such as a compression and leak down test, were necessary. Rather than charging me for his time, he insisted on not accepting payment, understanding the importance of pinpointing the problem accurately. However, as a fellow business owner, I valued his time and expertise immensely and insisted on compensating him regardless. To my surprise, Memo returned later in the evening at 5:00 p.m., accompanied by a partner. They tirelessly worked in my driveway until 9:30 p.m., refusing to leave until they found a solution that would work for me. The level of dedication and perseverance Memo demonstrated was truly remarkable. Not only is Memo an incredibly genuine individual, but he exemplifies honesty and ethics throughout his work. His rates are absolutely reasonable and reflect the thorough knowledge he possesses in his field. It was evident from the moment he arrived that we were in good hands. I can’t say enough good things about this shop. I first used Wrench.com for new brakes and rotors for the rear. DO NOT TRUST THEM!! I paid $600 for them to be installed and called back the next morning when I realized that my brakes were still not stopping correctly. I was also charged another unauthorized $150 for nonsense. I wasn’t refunded. My car started making a really LOUD noise and had to be towed home. I needed another mobile mechanic so called about a diagnostic. He said he may not have time that day could come the following day. Because I let him know that I already had missed some work; he called me a little later and let me know that he would be over that night after the shop closed . It didn’t take him very long to find what was causing the issue and he ordered the parts that night. He was back the next night, repaired the brakes and rotors and sent me a full breakdown of what was done including pictures of the problem. The price was definitely less than Wrench and I fully trust Memo (mechanic). He will be coming back to fix my truck. Guess I found an honest mechanic in Sacramento finally! Thanks memo! Candi

I called in on Saturday the 7th of June. My car kept breaking down on the road for a few weeks and it was a dangerous and serious issue. The dealer I purchased the car from kept blowing me off and was completely unconcerned about the issue I was having with the car. I called mobile mechanics and a couple of shops that were open on Saturday. Memo answered my call and took my car in. He fixed the issue (replaced the fuel pump) and I paid a very fair price after almost getting ripped off by another shop! He is very professional, on time, and his wife was at the front counter and provided excellent customer service. You can believe I’ll be going to him from now on for all my car concerns. Cannot recommend him enough. It’s hard to find a good mechanic. I’m a teacher with very limited funds and I have to be very careful how money gets spent. 1000% recommend Memo.

I had my brake system (including brake fluid flush) and TPMS sensors replaced by Memo and the experience was excellent. He was honest and didn’t pressure me to fix everything all at once. He told me what was most important right now, but I did it all anyway. It’s hard to find a trustworthy mechanic, but Memo is definitely one of them. I trust him with my car and plan to be back for future repairs. Highly recommend!

The best mechanic I’ve ever come across. Honesty is very hard to come by in this industry (unfortunately) but Memo is the most honest mechanic I’ve ever met. I called him for an inspection on my truck that unfortunately had a major engine issue. He told me it needed an engine replacement (he even gave me multiple quotes on different engines based on my budget). I asked him if it was worth it to repair or if I should just buy another car as my truck was already near the end of its life (high mileage & wear/tear). He recommended that unless I’m emotionally attached to the truck to just buy another car as it would probably be less costly in the long run. He even let me keep the truck in his shop while I made my decision. I took his advice and bought a reliable car but my truck breaking down might have been a blessing in disguise as I found this shop because of it. I will definitely come back to this shop for any future repairs!

My 2007 Pontiac G6 had been gradually losing coolant for months. First a little bit at a time to leaking out faster than I could pour it in! I didn't know where to go or what to do as I'm sure we've all heard a horror story or two about some mechanics taking advantage of women because typically most of us don't have a CLUE about the inside of cars...at least I don't 🤷♀️... Someone suggested I go to YELP and "yelp" I did! Some of the labor quotes I got from the mechanics that responded to my inquiry were astronomical!! With the focus being more on their service rate and less about wanting to know what the problem was. Then, talking with a very dear friend- She referred me to Memo at Smart Mobile Auto Repair. He's her go-to-car-guy. She said he was "awesome, reliable, professional, extremely knowledgeable and his prices- reasonable!" So the next week- I took my car to see Memo, he looked over my car and came back into the waiting area with a tablet on his lap showing me a video of my water pump, explaining how it was the culprit of my coolant leaking profusely. While he showed me the video- he was patient with me while I asked dumb questions to try to understand how it all worked. He explained it to me until I understood- he was very kind which put me at ease. At the end of that visit he gave me a quote for what was needed. It was a bit more than I was prepared to pay that day- but he didn't pressure me, he gave me the time I needed to get my funds together and go back and let him fix it. Two weeks later- that day was TODAY!!! I met with him and went over what was going to be done and how long it was going to take. "About 5-6 hours" he said and would call me to let me know when it was ready. At around 330pm he called to say it was ready but he noticed my oil needed to be changed BAD, and wanted to call and tell me that he and his manager(?) would be giving me a FREE OIL CHANGE for being a new customer!! So he replaced my water pump and thermostat, gave me a FREE oil change and even checked my tire pressure!! I told him I was starting a new job on Monday and he wanted to make sure it was in tip-top shape to get me to and fro!! What an awesome young man!!! Listen, I doubt you will ever come across a mechanic better than Memo at Smart Mobile Auto Repair! I've already told everyone I know about him and his shop! When I picked up my car- it drove like it was BRAND NEW!! (And they don't even make Pontiacs anymore!!) When my car needs anything else- I'm going STRAIGHT to Memo! And you should too!! THANK YOU MEMO!! YOU ROCK!! 😊👏💯🔥 ***UPDATE 9/14/2024*** (It wouldn't let me create a new review so I'll have to add to this one🤷♀️) So, about a week after my car was repaired, I found out as I was driving home from my son's house in Fair Oaks that I had NO HEADLIGHTS!! I knew one of my headlights were out so I try not to drive at night. And not having drove my car at night since it was repaired- I wasn't expecting not to have ANY lights. It was about an hour drive home street way as I live in the south area, a very scary drive home. I texted Memo that night just to let him know but I didn't expect to hear from him as it was about 1130pm on a Saturday night...but to my surprise he reached out to me on SUNDAY and through a few texts we scheduled me an appointment to come in the following Saturday morning- which was today! I met Zamanda (The Boss) for the first time and she was amazing! I told her and Memo about my headlight situation and they were very concerned and attentive. At first, Memo was going to install bulbs and quoted me a price to do so- and I happily agreed to pay right then... Then he called me to come outside to my car so he could show me what was going on. Just like before (sans tablet) he took a flashlight and a screwdriver and showed me corroded/melted wires on the thingy that the bulbs attach to- he said he could still replace them but they would more than likely burn out again and I'd have the same problem. He then gave me a quote to replace the whole headlamp section on both sides

Smart Mobile Auto Repair did a pre-purchase inspection for me. I was located in another state and found a vehicle online in their service area. The selling dealer represented the vehicle as having no issues and “meticulously maintained with pampered miles”. Smart Mobile tech did a thorough inspection and found many issues. Photos were included as well, showing the bumper did not match the front of vehicle. Paying the reasonable fee for their services helped me to avoid disaster by not buying a lemon.

I Really Wish My 2007 Chevy Equinox Was Worth The $700 To Get It To Start, But I Knew I Would Run Into Other Problems And It Just Wasn’t Worth It. Therefore I Couldn’t Get The Actual Work Done From Them, But They Were Nice And They Gave Me Time To Figure Out What I Was Going To Do With My Car. The Mechanic Also Seemed Knowledgeable And He Even Gave Me A Diagram Of The Wire In The Engine That Needed To Be Replaced. So I Couldn’t Ask For Better. They Charged Me $120 For The Tow There And $150 For A Diagnostic, That Could Only Tell Me How To START The Car - Nothing Else. I Was Just Hoping They Could Tell Me More, But Apparently It Doesn’t Work Like That, They Have To Get It Started First. So I Would Recommend This Place, They Were Fair!

Memo is a great mechanic - I’ve been going to him pretty much exclusively for about 1 1/2 years now and he’s always been super honest with me and fair on price. Recently had both sway bars replaced and wheels aligned after neglecting to do so when another shop lifted my commuter ford maverick. On top of that, I was out of town for about 2 weeks when the work was done and Memo was really flexible with holding it and letting me pay upon return. Great family run business and I cannot recommend them enough. Fully deserving of the 5 star review and in my opinion, one of the most trustworthy guys in the area.
