I was visiting the area and my vehicle encountered a problem. I took it to them and they diagnosed the issue and quickly made the repair. The cost was very fair and reasonable and below what the internet said to expect to pay. Especially, since I was from out of town and needed the repair done as soon as possible. I highly recommend them and if I am ever in the area and need auto service I would use them.

I was traveling and recognized a problem with my Suburban, I called my shop in Albany GA and they recommended Smith’s Auto Repair. They diagnosed my problem which was transmission related. My car was overdue for check up and repair but I had to keep driving. Both wheel bearings were bad as well other needed maintenance. I was surprised at how quickly they were able to make the needed repairs and get the car back to me.(less than 48 hours) I was thinking it would be longer. My family has been doing business with Smith Automotive for nearly two decades, maybe longer. I wouldn't want to get repairs or maintenance anywhere else.

They could have"fixed"the perceived problem, but they told me there was no problem and all the technicians had checked it out. That's the integrity I need! Took my 2004 Ram 1500 to Smith's Auto Repair to have my heater fixed. I was treated with the utmost respect. They were professional and kind. They really took their time to find the issue with my heat. Although it took some time to get a phone call back, it was because they were really trying to find a way to get me some heat without it costing me thousands of dollars to repair They actually kept it an extra day just to make sure that there was nothing else they could do and I appreciated that very much. After coming to the conclusion that the whole dash would have to be pulled out in order to find the problem, they told me it would be approximately 2500 dollars to do the whole job. I really appreciate the time they spent in evaluating the problem and telling me the whole story before ripping my dash apart like some mechanics would do and just charge you for it. These guys are top notch from top to bottom. And although they couldn't fix the problem, they help me confirm my suspicion. ITS TIME FOR A NEW TRUCK. OH WELL ❤️🩹... THANKS GUYS. I know how valuable your time is.

Had a trip to Augusta long planned and the only option for transportation at last minute was my old truck, which 2 days prior, starting making a terrible noise that increasingly got worse on my trip up. Concerned about making it back to Charleston, a friend at First Pres recommended Smith’s. They allowed me a same day emergency diagnostic visit and after discovering it was my front brakes, fixed it same day within a few hours and we made it in last night with zero issues. They were professional and had a trust worthy reputation in the community and I recommend them without hesitation.

Definitely a shop that takes care of their customers and looks out for us. For the first time I don’t feel like I was getting hit with the typical “mechanic mark up”. I had a leak in 3 different spots and they got the issue identified and repaired in such a timely manner. When I went to pick up the car, they kept the old parts so they could show me where the leaks were coming from. I’ve been telling everyone who has ears about this shop!

I must begin with WOW!! I began my search looking for a reliable repair shop, several appeared but I noticed the reviews from Smith Auto Repair Peach Orchard Road Augusta Ga. I called to speak with someone and got a voicemail, ending with God Bless, I knew then, this was the correct place for me. I was given the cost, the repairs needed and how long it would take to complete. They were friendly, courteous, easy to converse with, and they kept me current every step of the way. The office was very clean, lined with a couple of books and newspaper. It's rewarding to know there are people who offer Optimal Service in 21st Century. My son and I had a serious problem with a older automobile. It kept shutting off and loosing all electrical power with no warning. It was diagnosed with a bad alternator. My son got it replaced at a unreasonable cost at another shop. Twenty minutes after leaving that shop it did it again. So I tried a few things but could not find the problem. I explained the issue to Smith Auto online. They promptly called me early on a Monday after the weekend. We had the car towed to them. They spent a great deal of time finding the one loose wire in the main alternator fuse harness. Car has been running like a sewing machine ever since! They didn't shy away from this difficult repair and I appreciate their diligence and determination to fix the problem. I am 99% sure they have made some new customers for life!

When I searched for the best auto repair shops in Augusta, Smith’s Auto Shop was one of the first to pop up with a 4.8-star rating. Once I arrived, I noticed the Shell emblems and asked if they were the same Shell station on Walton Way Extension. The gentleman confirmed they were—and immediately, I felt at ease. Years ago, when I was a young woman, I went to that same Shell station and Mr. Smith personally looked at my car. He diagnosed the issue and gave me a price. At the time, I didn’t have the money to fix it. But he refused to let me leave with a car that wasn’t safe. He told me he would not allow me to drive off and risk being stranded on the side of the road with my children. He arranged for someone to drive me to work and he told me I could pay him in installments or that Friday when I got paid. He cared more about my safety than the payment. Fast forward nearly 30 years, and I had the pleasure of meeting his son. The professionalism, kindness, and genuine concern felt exactly the same as what his father showed me all those years ago. That level of integrity clearly runs in the family. If you’re looking for a place where you can feel comfortable, respected, and confident that you’re getting top-quality work, this is it. They deserve more than five stars—I’d gladly give them a 10.

I contacted Smith's to have repairs done on my vehicle they were open, honest, precise, friendly, and professional. I got the diagnostic already knowing what my issue was and it just confirmed i. I also did research before calling to make sure that they were going to do exactly what I needed to get done and they definitely performed accordingly. And I'm glad that it came with a warranty. David was in contact with me immediately to let me know what repairs would be made what the cost was and he assured me that he had good mechanics on the job that knew what they were doing and the price was in my budget as to what I was expecting. They also offer special financing but I was able to take care of the bill right then and there. If you need a mechanic someone you can trust don't hesitate to give Smith's Auto Repair a try. Smith's is an incredibly reliable company and their employees are careful, detail oriented, and quick. I brought my car in on a Monday, they diagnosed it by Tuesday, and had it fixed by Wednesday. They stayed in touch with me the entire time, asked before they fixed something, and their prices were great. They also gave me a run down of future maintenance work that might need to happen which is very helpful. My brother is a mechanic and he saw the receipt and rundown of what had been worked on and he was very impressed at how thorough this company had been. I will definitely be going to Smith's the next time I need work done on my car!
