I pulled up nobody responded.I leave my vehicle and walk inside and the guy is sleeping on the couch. He was beyond rude when asking for my documents pushing me to hurry up and get them for him to the point where I decided where I would rather go somewhere else as I recommend you due too.

Everything was going smoothly at Smog King until I had a small interaction that left a bad impression. I was sitting quietly in the waiting area with my smog papers, portable charger, and vape placed on the magazine table in front of me. I wasn’t using the vape—just waiting patiently like the only other customer there. An employee came out to get some coffee and politely asked me to remove my vape from the table. I complied without issue, but the request felt unnecessary, especially since I wasn’t using it or causing any disruption. It left me feeling a bit unwelcome. The service itself was fine, but that small moment made me decide I probably won’t return. A little more customer courtesy would’ve gone a long way.

The employee checking people in was extremely rude. He practically snatched my DMV paperwork out of my hands, started writing down my information without saying a word, then shoved a clipboard and pen back at me, telling me to sign. He didn’t explain how long the wait would be or how much the service would cost—I had to ask. The whole time, I was thinking, “I really don’t want to give this guy my money or support this business.” I ended up telling him I didn’t want to proceed and walked out. Also, the waiting room was small, dirty, hot, and loud. I made an appointment instead with Smog King just down the road at 7211 Galilee Rd #105, Roseville, CA 95678. They were awesome—professional and informative over the phone about pricing and availability. When I arrived, the check-in process was smooth, and the staff was kind and respectful. Their waiting room was large, clean, quiet, and cool with AC, and they even offered complimentary tea and coffee.

I somehow always ended up here. Lol I bring all my cars here to Ed, john, Shawna, mike over many years. These guys are excellent. I bring all my classic sports cars here for their in ground rollers. It's great for lowered cars. Takes 15-45 mins each car and sometimes the weekends have a short line. The price is a bit on the higher side even with the coupon but the in ground and service is great. Posted just a few cars.

First time I went, guy was’t very inviting and told me to sign my name on a paper without really explaining what it was for. When I failed, after waiting 2 1/2 hours (after being quoted 30-45mins) it was a quick “You failed” and nothing else while highlighting numbers. I asked him politely to explain what the numbers mean so I could potentially fix the issue myself. He said he has no clue and proceeded to look at me blankly. Next time I go in I asked if he could explain them to me and he kind of brushed me off and told me to go across the street, the guys over there will tell me whats wrong. I went over, and the guy told me it was the muffler… I’m aware I’m young, but I’m not stupid. They were cool, just not very insightful. The third time I went in, I wanted to make use of the free retest (which is nice) and there wasn’t much interaction which didn’t make me feel welcome at ALL. It failed again, which Im not too upset about, but more so the fact that it was an off putting vibe in the place. Wouldn’t waste my time here ever again. Much rather go spend more money for better customer service elsewhere.

They used to be good. But not now. Too long line. They do not hear you. I tried to pass smog test here a couple times this year. It should be repeated. But line was so long.... And i negative surprised by price.

These guys got my 88 Mazda rx7 in and out quickly. Its harder and harder to find a a smog shop that will service such an old, rotary powered car, especially one that is lowered. Thx for being accommodating!
