Great service. Great prices. And they're honest! They won't sell you a bunch stuff you don't need. We've used Sooner Auto for 3 years now to work on our personal cars and they've taken great care of us. My husband also sends all his fleet trucks from work to Sooner Auto; Dakota gets them serviced and back in the field quickly. I can't recommend them highly enough.

The BEST mechanics in Norman! I’m so thankful I found this place. They are so dependable and HONEST! I have got my whole family bringing their cars here when needed because they are that good! It’s the honest part that keeps bringing me back. They do great work and Dakota and Asher are always so friendly and helpful. Up until I found them, I always thought mechanics were crooks, but they showed me they aren’t at all like that. They also have coached me on my cars issues so I learned on top of getting my vehicles fixed! They are the best in the state! Thank you Guys for always being there when I need you!!

I’ve been coming to Sooner Auto for my auto needs these past two years. Their service is impeccable and timely. The guys always do a great job with repairs and Dakota is great with follow up. They all are. I have never felt uncomfortable or pushed to make unnecessary repairs, and they are up front and honest about costs and what is needed to get you back on the street. There is no mechanic shop I would recommend more highly than here.

My rear brake pads and rotors were giving out, and I was desperate for a place to take my car in for service on a weekend. Sooner Auto Service had zero wait time, and were able to get my car fixed up in less than two hours after I dropped it off. They had reasonable prices for the service as well. Would highly recommend!!

I have been getting my oil services done at Sooner since I moved to Norman three years ago. I moved to OKC last month and I returned to Sooner Auto today because I trust them. The service is quick, the staff is friendly and honest, and the prices are great. They do not try to sell me anything that I do not need. When I went there today I had a leak in my tire and they patched it up and did my oil change in less than 45 minutes. I have never had a bad experience. I usually call ahead to see if they have room to fit in an oil change. I mean it when I say this place is worth the drive. I can count on them!

I go get my air conditioner fixed in 2 weeks. I stop getting cold air and now he's saying it's my compressor so how was that different from what he charged me $600 for he shouldn't have charged me $600 if the air compressor was bad. And while I'm in there, another customer with the same problem comes in there. It has the same problems that he did as air conditioner. And now, in 2 weeks, it's messed up again.

I asked local auto shops and everyone described this place as “a hole in the wall filled with good honest people.” My experience was exactly that. It’s not a fancy place, but they do really good work for a low price. A much better experience than dealerships that up-charge you and tell you that you need to replace everything. My specific experience was my car stopped being able to shift gears and I limped it over to check it out. They diagnosed the issue and told me what I needed to do. They offered a very fair price to do it all there, but I ended up replacing the parts myself since I enjoy working on cars, but their diagnostic was perfect. I will definitely be returning!

Our boys broke down on the way home from a baseball tournament in Kansas driving to Austin, Texas. We were lucky enough to find Sooner Auto Service and meet David Owen and the crew. We had a shredded belt and they made us feel right at home with their friendly service and prompt attention to get the boys back on the road. We highly recommend David and his team for your automotive needs! Thank you for the great service and friendliness.

These folks replaced my valve cover gasket. They got to my car very quickly and got me a quote before starting on anything. They also didn't try to sell me on anything else as the big name mechanics are prone to do. They were honest and communicative during the whole process. The cost is the same as anywhere else. Up to a month and a half later, they were sending courtesy texts to make sure the car was doing well. I'm very impressed with these guys. Plus, there is a car rental place right across the street that is easily accessible. Highly recommend this garage.

Through the years I have been to many Auto repair shops and the best by far is Sooner Auto Service at: 2132 W Main St, Norman, OK 73069. Since moving to Norman I have taken my Camaro to "Sooner Auto" for all my engine repairs & all my body work. Their prices are quite low and the work is super great! The Staff is extremely friendly, honest and very knowledgeable! Dakota has a great shop & I especially want to thank Tim & David!

I had a fuel line leak located at the fuel filter's quick connect inlet. My fuel line popped out and didn't connect fully. I temporarily zip-tied the line to the inlet to prevent major leakage. I called up Sooner Auto Service yesterday, the guys took a look at it, and Dakota ordered a new filter. I came in the next day (today) and gave them the keys. David replaced the filter, pushed the line in, and it clicked. It seems my fuel line was long enough (I thought it was too short) and all was good. It seemed that the only problem was the quick connect inlet. I paid about $172 in total. I necessarily can't complain about the price because I didn't do it. If it was a simple filter replacement it seems a little bit high. Nonetheless, I support the guys, David's got dirt and grime all over and you can tell he works hard. After paying, I took a look under the car and discovered a leak/slit in the fuel line. I probably must have accidentally cut the line while I was temporarily zip tying it together before I came in to the shop. I walked back in and spoke to Dakota while David took a look at it. They picked up the 5/16" double barb, cut the line, and put it in between. Patched up and no leaks, all good. The only thing is it looked a little "bubbly" now? I assume someone thought the nylon line could be shrunk with heat, but no qualms. I'd probably think/do the same. Considering my laziness to repair it myself, it seems somewhat reasonable, a little high for a simple filter replacement but the second no questions patch work made up for it. Quick Tip: Ask to about price prior to getting service. Just so know one is surprised about what they are paying at the end. This is what I should've done. I try my best to place trust in auto shops rather than nitpick as I know all shops can get a bit of flack from other customers. Support the hard working guys, try not to complain too much. Thanks for the hard work David.

I did not catch the gentleman’s name but he was so friendly and helpful! I called in a panic on Saturday because I had a transmission leak that Firestone would not work on, and I live in Paul’s valley so I NEEDED to have the issue fixed asap. He looked at my car for free to confirm the leak and see what all needed to be replaced, started the repair Monday morning and by midday I had my car back. Very friendly people, very reasonably priced, definitely will be coming back for any other issues

David was amazing and stayed focused and was able to work with me! I 100% recommend this company for your car service needs! Staff was very kind and considerate of my children and very accommodating. They put cartoons on for them and tried to help me with finding a charger for my sons phone.

Care about family?!? Dakota, my daughter had her alternator replaced, $1000+ with labor and tax. The car drove fine for five days, then broke down 300 miles from her home, in a town she was driving through to get home, so didn’t know anyone. AAA towed the car to a shop. The shop said it was the alternator. She explained she just had it replaced. Welllll, still the alternator was bad. She had to leave the car to be repaired again, rent a car to get her, three kids and a dog back to Norman. She contacted Sooner Auto, however, was told she would not get any refund as that would mean they would lose money.WHAT?!?! The repair shop she left the car with tried to work with Sooner Auto, to no avail. I talked with a Sooner tech today as she should at least be reimbursed for bad alternator, even if it means they give her the receipt of where they bought it. He said only Dakota has that authority, and he was busy. He ghosted my daughter when she tried to work it out, was rude to the shop that repaired the car 300 miles away, and did not return my call. I waited for a return call, but no call back. End of day, I called back. The tech, although very sympathetic to the situation, said Dakota was given my number, and the information, and that he left. My daughter has used their shop for years. This is wrong!! She should be reimbursed the whole amount she spent there, however, will settle for just the reimbursement of the defective part. Nothing - just told to accept that the part was defective, too bad so sad. Bottom line, how can you advertise family friendly, advertise “don’t want folks broken down on the side of the road”, and that’s exactly what happened. The customer meant nothing to Dakota.

I had a radiator blow out when I was in from out of town. The guys at Sooner Auto Service were super helpful in getting me all taken care of. I was able to call and speak to someone right away and they were great about their communication throughout the prices of diagnostics, recommendations, repair, and having the car ready for me. They did great work, going above and beyond in multiple things, without trying to upsell me on anything. If I lived in Norman, this shop would be my go to for all my mechanics needs. Thanks very much for getting my trusty steed back up and running for me!

Not happy with this place and I will be filing a report with the BBB. I had to get my car towed here because it was the closest place to where I was located. I had to leave my car with them and go home to Tulsa. A few days go by, nothing. Fine. I thought maybe they're just busy. No big deal. A week goes by. Nothing. At this point, I call them and was told they weren't sure. Call back a few days later and got the same response. Called back the following week and finally got some answers. They told me my car needed a new engine. $5000. Had to rent a uhaul to get my car back to Tulsa. They also told me it was going to be $125 for a diagnostic. Fine. Get there to pick up my car and the diagnostics was $233. So far, I've spent $125 renting a uhaul and $233 on a diagnostic test that Im not even sure they did! Finally, get to Tulsa and get my car dropped off to a real mechanic shop and turns out all I needed was a coil pack and new spark plugs. $300. OHHH and while they had my car, they went through it and stole everything they could out it. Like, they actually had to open my console and glove box and rifle through my things. I mean they do have a sign that says "not responsible for items left in car" but I didnt realize that's them just telling you they will go through your stuff and steal from you.

Dave & Timothy did awesome with my car and keeping me updated. I appreciate how they’re a walk in service and the price was cheaper than other shops had quoted me. Timothy also was awesome because he helped me figure out (& even showed me) the cause of a noise I’d been hearing for a while & was able to get it fixed for me. All around great experience, timely, & great prices!

My cousin suggested I go here, and I see why he did! I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Sooner Auto — they are my go-to. There were a handful of very unfortunate fixes over the past year. Timothy always took good care of my Subie while being transparent and even checking in with a phone call to give me updates (and was so patient and empathetic when I’d cry on the phone)! Dakota would always follow up with a call or text to see how my car was doing. I had a devastating car issue with a time crunch, and Tim took initiative to make sure my car would make it to Boston safely (it did!) . I 100% recommend Sooner Auto to anyone. They do their research before diagnosing a problem. They are kind and respectful. They are clear and explain everything in a way that I understand, and even show me the issues — these things go a long way. I trust them and there’s a reason why I always return. ~Ariana
