Worst place to smog ever. First 3 times I went the machine was broken so they can't even test. After a long wait they test it I fail. And he said I'd have a free retest. That was a lie came back after repairs were done. And he cussed at me saying they never do free tests called me a liar and a load of other names. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!

My go to SMOG place lost its license so this one is a recommendation. I've used their certification several times now. Fortunately, my vehicles have no repair issues easily passing with flying colors. I have not used their repair so I can't comment on that. I would give it another star except they need better street signage. I keep missing it everytime I come here. Anyway, tech is always nice and accommodating.

Great experience. Cliff the owner operator really knows his stuff and takes no shortcuts, really a perfectionist. He will physically show you what's wrong with your vehicle not like other shops where you just take their word for it. If you want friendly service and your vehicle fixed right the first time this is the spot. I recommend them to everyone i know.

I noticed I left a review 4 years ago! I gave them 5 stars then, and i give them 5 stars now! I called in the morning to confirm the best time to come and received a warm inviting call back and confirmed the time. I arrived for a smog check and was in and out in 15 minutes (probably less). The service tech was wonderful and, with a friendly greeting, moved my car to the smog station as I waited in the nice lounge area. I highly recommend this business if you need a smog check. Very customer service oriented, friendly, timely, and efficient. Thank you!

I have been going to this location for my smog test for quite a few years. Recently management/ownership changed, and things got even better. I was very happy before, but Cliff and his wife are awesome. Love working with family operated businesses. Up until this year I just had my smog test done at the shop, but recently I had car issues and asked Cliff to check it out. He is amazing! I had these issues looked at by two other mechanics and they drained my wallet and never really fixed the issue. Cliff went in and pinpointed some things immediately and got things running. Unfortunately, the car will never get to perfection due to my budget, but it is running so much better and getting me to where I need to go. Cliff is very kind, honest, and hard working. As well as offering very fair prices. South Fremont Service is my only place to go from now on.
