I don't write reviews often, but i felt Derek and team definitely deserved one. I recently took my tesla to UP, fremont to fix the ride quality issues i have been having with the stock suspension on my model Y. I am impressed with the quality of work that Derek and team had done to replace the stock suspension with luxury shocks. The ride quality is significantly better and i would even call the difference night and day. Derek has been very professional, upfront and honest with what to expect, made recommendations and also was upront about the cost involved. He is very friendly and a great person to work with. I highly recommend Derek and his team at unplugged performance for all after market services.

Derek is the best!! He is knowledgeable and he goes his way out for his customers. Context was that I had some issues with my luxury pro suspension; he not only made time to diagnose the issue properly which was a bad install by my first mechanic, replaced my faulty hardware at no cost and helped calibrate my model Y set up properly. Awesome dude to work and my to go mechanic for my Tesla vehicles from now on.

Brought in a Model 3 for a shock leaking after using Unplugged Performance Coilovers and was blown away by the speedy service. I was greeted promptly at the door and I provided a summary of the experience I had with the car. It was estimated to be repaired by the afternoon over the phone so I planned to get some work done during that time. They were very accommodating so I brought my laptop to work from their office. To my surprise, my car was ready in less than two hours! Everyone was so professional and I am normally very paranoid about bringing my vehicle anywhere to be serviced. I cannot thank the crew at UP Fremont enough. I had been fighting tire wear, alignment issues, and a loud clunk in the rear right for months. Tesla service had the car for several days but never ended up investigating the issue i brought it in for. Unplugged immediately knew where to look and during the alignment service, found multiple issues with the toe arm and upper control arms. After having the components replaced and alignment completed the car feels even better than brand new. Do not hesitate, bring your Tesla here for the best service from a very friendly staff! UPDATE (7/25/25) For those with Tesla's with horrendous tire wear issues; these issues can be addressed with the right parts and a good alignment. Previously, my worst wear was 5k on one set of rears and best was ~12k on another set. Car had terrible issues with camber and toe. Currently I'm at 25k miles on my rear tires with quite a bit of life left (Pilot sport 4S 20") since having the alignment issues addressed. The work has already paid for itself in tire savings. Thank you again!

The repairs were done flawlessly—my car, 2018 Tesla Model 3, now runs smoother than it has in years. Dropped into UP Fremont to have their Cybertruck swaybar upgrade done. I noticed a difference on my very next drive and travelling with my travel is now smoother. The upgrade is a wise investment in my opinion. Bennett was very informative and easy to communicate with. I also met Derek who was a Tesla engineer and is now designing aftermarket accessories for Teslas. He had some very interesting times with Tesla during the Model 3 ramp! Finally found a shop where I can trust for my Tesla. I made an appointment last Saturday to get wheel alignment done. The job was done within an hour and my ride became much smoother. I purchased the Luxury Pro coilovers and the UP-05 wheels in black for my MYP. I had some life left on my tires on my Uberturbines so they pulled them off and put them on my new wheels since i went with the same 21 inch wheels. They did the mounting and balancing on them as well. After they installed the coilovers, they did an alignment. The finished product was amazing! I'm so happy with my car now! I’ve had my Model Y since 2022. I finally decided to turn it into a daily driven car that I can also whip around a track. This is the shop I chose to do my build. They have been nothing less than exceptional. Arlen, the tech, knows his way around a Tesla. UNPLUGGED can do normal routine maintenance but they can also do a full on track build. Derek has been amazing helping me with the build. We’re still dialing in the suspension and he’s has the knowledge to guide me through it. If you’re looking for a shop to work on your Tesla, don’t hesitate to come here. Their shop is always clean and tidy and they respect every person that walks through their door. Im impressed with their products, team and shop as a whole. so happy to have an Unplugged Performance shop in Northern CA finally! and to make it even better, Derek (an ex-Tesla employee prior to opening the shop) and the crew there couldn’t be better to work with, they understand the needs and asks of us as customers and are happy to execute on your vision or also offer suggestions on builds and parts! They keep you up-to-date when your car is on the shop proactively, and any and all questions you may have they will happily answer! I have had 2 cars worked on there including everything from wheels/tires/suspension/alignment/etc, and each time the work is flawlessly executed.
