Professional, polite, and knowledgeable they gave a fast diagnostic and repair to our Lexus RX 350 at a reasonable price. We are new to Southern Oregon and glad we found an honest repair shop for any future auto repair/maintenance needs!

Love this place! A while back the passenger window stopped working while coming home from a trip and of course it started raining. When we got home I called 3 places. The first 2 said it would run at least $100+ to check it out. Then, I called Southern Oregon Auto Care and the gentleman that answered the phone asked if I had checked the fuse? He told me to Google it and if that wasn't the problem, to call back. I did, it was! And they have been our mechanics every since. Integrity and honesty. On Friday morning, they got my truck in for an unexpected issue and I figured since I was there anyway.... They fixed my problem, did my brakes, a tune up, tranny flush and an oil change and tire rotation...all by 2:30 in the afternoon! These guys and gals Rock!

Fair price and honest. They didn't fix things just to fix it and were straight forward about what was worth (or not worth) putting into our old truck.

Very efficient business! Didn't charge me for the extra time it took to fix the issue. Rick was great! And Bill was able make the difficult repair! Thanks again!

Great prices, great staff, and great service. Less expensive than bringing my 2024 to a dealership for my oil change and tire rotation. They report to car fax and I save my records so my car stays valid for the manufacturer and extended warranties. Dealerships don’t use name brand filters anyway, I worked at one. Super happy with SO Auto Care. I’ll be coming back for my maintenance needs. Plus I didn’t need to wait as long, another bonus!!

I've been taking my wife's and my car here for the last few years and the folks have been awesome. Always great service, easy to schedule with and always give me a fair price. If you need work done on your car I'd recommend giving them a shot.

I've been taking my odd-ball 1996 Mitsubishi Delica diesel to them since I bought it back in 2022. Not only did they agree to work on it when other shops turned me away, they went above and beyond in helping me source parts for the van. Fast forward and I've traded that vsn for a 2020 Ford F150. Within a week I started having problems getting gas into the tank, owing - I thought- to the weird 'no gas cap' design. Their mechanic took just minutes to get to the cause, a piece of ??? sitting down the fill tube on the screen leading into the tank. Fishing that item out turned out to be a tricky job, and it was looking like the fix would involve dropping the tank, a pricey repair. Long story short, he worked into his lunch hour and came up with an ingenious solution. With over an hour into the repair, he only charged me for an hour's fee. Who does that these days???? Seriously, it's their honest, fair and friendly approach toward car repair that will keep me as a loyal customer.

I love this auto shop! They treat everyone great and go above and beyond. I've never had an oil change where they change the windshield wiper blades and also the air filter. Except at SOUTHERN OREGON AUTO CARE! I didnt even have an appointment and they fit me in right after lunch. Highly recommend.

Friendly service. Took my well maintained 24 yr old Cadillac DTS in early Monday due to a transmission hose leak, waited for their call that day for an estimate, I never received one, so the next day I called them. They said my transmission was slipping and needed repair ti the tune of $4500+, I let them know I didn't want to make that kind of investment for a car this age and went and picked it up. They charged me $127 for the diagnosis, 2 quarts of transmission fluid, and resetting my "Service needed soon light" . Drove the car home approximately 4 miles, unfortunately the car was in worse shape then when I had dropped it off. Heater did work the way it had and when I stopped in my driveway to open my garage door there was a huge puddle of fuild in my driveway and the transmission was noticeably louder and slipping more than when I dropped it off. I must have miss understood them. When I thought they said the diagnosis wouldn't cost anything, seems 2 quarts of fluid, keeping car over night and labor cost are what they are now days! But ther are friendly. I don't know if the price was unreasonable or not...I don't see very well but, I did see the leak.

Southern Oregon Auto Care is my go to auto repair shop in the Rogue valley. As a veteran I've seen them every veterans day for their complimentary oil change for several years now. It's a spectacular service they offer and I'm very appreciate for their support. Over the years they've worked on all three of my vehicles! They've performed the afore mentioned oil changes on my ram 1500 & diagnostics on a check engine light. I've had the cooling system flushed on my wife's gmc terrain. And currently, they are repairing a blown head gasket on my chevy HHR. Ken is great service representative and my interactions with him have always been professional. I've had the occasional chat with a tech & they not only seem very knowledgeable but also seem to enjoy their job tremendously! They're not your typical "parts installers" like in a dealership setting. Speaking of the shop environment, they keep their work space very clean & organized. During the veterans day service, multiple techs are working on a vehicle replacing the engine oil & filter, while another is replacing the wiper blades whilst another is replacing the engine air filter! They had my truck done in about 15 minutes! And that's with multiple vehicles in their service bays. It was a bonus to be able to observe their efficiency through a window inside the waiting room. This is an excellent shop to get your vehicle needs attended to. I'd highly recommend this shop for all of your vehicle service needs!

DONT COME HERE. The end has an additional edit. I went in with a sound at the front right side of my car. I thought it was the suspension, after the mechanic checked it out they said it was the wheel bearing. A few days later the noise was back but much less. So I knew the problem wasn't fixed. I didnt have any money to go back and complain. Recently I got it checked by a different mechanic and got confirmation that if it was the wheel bearing the noise would've been much worse and more obvious. The noise was a small squeak/strain noise. The new mechanic said it was infact the suspension but not bad at all. The sound got quiter after they lifted the car taking the pressure off the suspension. So I was sold a wheel bearing for no reason but greed for more money. Also when I got my car back the check engine light came on because they didnt plug all the wires back in, just shows careless and lack of attention. I paid over $1000 for this fix, also to repair a coolant leak and oil leak (oil turned out to be loose tubing). Looking at other reviews is what made me choose this business but now i see if you come in with a minor enough problem they will scam you. Very disappointed in this business. Edit for the owners response That whole response is drawn out and added no useful information. You said when investigating you found the noise on the left side, plainly incorrect and once again shows lack of attention and carelessness. There was no discussion of the suspension having any damage. So while it was just a recommendation to replace the wheel bearing it was the only thing brought up, making it seem like that was probably the problem. Even if the wheel bearing was in horrible condition it doesnt mean there wasnt damage to the suspension. Adding the rest of the service info provides some transparency for anyone looking at reviews. However it doesnt help the problem i was addressing. This is the primary part id say is making the response drawn out.

These people were great the first two times I went. They did go above and beyond. In August 2025, they replaced the alternator and the battery because I was having electrical issues. However, the third time, I went back because the battery was being drained in January. They couldn't figure out why but they charged me $140 for a diagnostic for a leaking Timing cover for this 2004 Honda CRV. I never heard back from them. She was going to give me an estimate for the cost to fix the timing cover leak. In February 2026 I called because the electrical leak was never addressed and of course the battery and alternator didn't work anymore. They did replace them under Warranty. Sky admitted that she dropped the ball and forgot to give me the estimate for the timing cover work and then she asked me to leave. In other words instead of owning her mistake, She was unnecessarily rude. This gets me on two counts. Number one I have never been rude to them. I was simply asking what happened from her point of view. I was not angry or rude. But what really gets me is how these people not just these people but so many people in business nowadays get away with this kind of behavior. I am in Business myself and I go out of my way to help people. It's just what I do. So I don't understand what makes these people feel like they have to be cruel And abusive instead of just saying maybe I don't know how to fix that. Or maybe you should take it to someone who has a specialization with that kind of vehicle.

I was referred to Southern Oregon Auto Care by a family member who is a loyal patron. I was really impressed with the service, the full vehicle inspection, and price was reasonable for the work that I had done. They did discover some additional issues that I will be having repaired by S.O. Auto Care in the next couple of months. Thank you for your honest work and reasonable pricing.

This place is great! I also feel good because Costco steered me here with a discount program they offer. Andrea at the desk is on top of it and Ken calmly sat with me and explained everything that was happening on my car. Also, the diagnostic report was the most extensive I've ever received!

First time visit. I was impressed when I walked into the shop ... Very very clean, people were helpful and friendly. Lots of smiles..!!! I'm 87, the waiting room was very comfortable . Lots of magazines..coffee available. It had a large window looking into the garage where you could watch the mechanics work on your vehicle . Again...shop was clean !!! Car was ready at given time. Large blacktop parking space outside. Easily accessible for a handicap person. LOVED IT!!! I will be a regular from now on!!!! Thank you Southern Auto Care !!! Vydel Robertson
