My experience as well as my family's experience with St. John Brake and Muffler was nothing short of disappointing. The staff, particularly the mechanic Matt Smith, came across as rude and very unprofessional. It felt like his primary goal was to take advantage of customers rather than provide quality service. Matt Smith, in particular, left a bad impression. In my dealings with him, he has seemed more focused on his own interests than on actually helping customers. I've spoken to friends and family both who have had their vehicles serviced here, and they’ve shared similar negative experiences. In my opinion, Matt is self-centered and doesn't seem to care about his customers' needs. I would advise anyone considering this shop to be cautious and perhaps look elsewhere for their automotive needs. Aside from Matt The owner is relatively nice but seeing as Matt's worked there practically since they owned it they side with him.

These guys are honest. trustworthy. efficient and one of the best places around to get your car fixed. They are fair on pricing and are really the only guys I trust when dealing with cost and labor issues. I've used them for many years now and will continue to do so. Very glad there's a place like this that I can drive to locally. I don't care about fancy waiting lounges, extravagant surroundings that make you feel like your in a five star resort. I'd rather sit in a bench seat taken from the back of a van in their front office, knowing I'm getting a really good price for excellent repairs, than to sit in air conditioned luxury dealership and get fleeced while they tack on extra fees upon extra fees. Kudos to the guys at St John Brake & Muffler! Matt, you've been a great mechanic! I hope to still be hiring you for all my car needs in the future!

Went in to St John muffler and brake shop due to having a loud noise coming from underneath my car. The two gentlemen there were very nice and cordial. The mechanic pointed out the culprit for the loud noise but also made me aware of some other issues(physically showed me). He fixed my exhaust in a very timely fashion and reasonable price. Definitely will be my go to spot for my car fixes. Thank you guys!

In my experience they are very rude individuals that in all honesty just try and pull a quick one on people. In my experience this can especially be said about the mechanic and man whis about to own I think his names Matt Smith. Ive had friends who have gotten their car worked on here who would say the same thing one of whom had to take it to court and actually Won. They overprice and are selfish individuals in my rightful opinion

Absolute stand up guys. I came in for an inspection on a used car I just purchased. It didn't pass, BUT they took the time to explain why and show me the regulations in the manual which had recently changed concerning cracked windshields. They even recommended a local guy who wasn't available, but SAME day I was able to get my windshield replaced, I came right back to St. John and they were able to get me stickered. Fantastic shop and honest workers. They are a first come first serve place, they don't take appointments, but I will be bringing them my vehicles from here on out.

I live in the neighborhood and use them a lot! Very trustworthy, and they always take the time to bring me into the garage to show me what’s going on with my vehicle and explain why it needs to be fixed. They also explain the prices and quality of all the different parts they can get for the repairs as well.

DONT EVEN TAKE YOUR CAR UP TO St JOHN BRAKE & MUFFLER.The lady in the front is RUDE,DISRESPECTFUL,and she will LIE about the prices and make them higher even if u talk to her about it MULTIPLE TIMES.Also her son that works on the cars is no better.Him and his crew takes way to long on minor stuff like oil changes and will have your car stuck at his shop over night.BETTER OFF GOING TO LEE AUTO REPAIR

Charged higher than normal for brake line replacement, installing steel lines which had been described as stainless steel. Claimed to have replaced everything in the brake system, however left the od brake hoses in place, even when replacing the rear calipers. Difficult to work with.

I trust Chester, and he goes above and beyond the call. He is mindful, so I don't have to worry about the oil pan bolt getting stripped. They do all kind of work there. I have had less than good experiences at other shops.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO ST JOHN BRAKE & MUFFLER!!! Communication is horrible, and the companies customer service skills are non existent. I dropped off my car due to Craigs Auto closing and them being the next best option. My car needed a simple oil change and was dropped off on a Friday. I was told that the task would be completed by the end of the day. Apparently their "end of the day" is noon... Later without telling me anything about an update or the abnormal hours of operation the garage closed and my car was locked in for the weekend, which was needless to say a huge inconvenience. There was no apology or discount given only blame from the business owners end with them telling me that "they called me." This was not the case which I tried to illustrate showing them my caller history on my phone. Trashy place and experience that was only magnified by the businesses complete lack of awareness, rude behavior, and awful customer service/relation skills. Beware.

St. John Brake & Muffler has amazing service! They were able to get me in quickly with an appointment and the brake job and inspection were done within several hours. They do not inflate prices or what they think you need They have a real and up front conversation with you. They actually talked to me like I knew what I was talking about and were honest- both of which go a long way and is hard to come by nowadays. They have most of the Craig's Auto crowd now and hired on his techs, all of who were always great and treated us like family. I would not hesitate to come back in the future.
