We’re first time RV owners, bought a 10 year old 5th wheel over the summer. After getting it home and really getting a chance to check things out we discovered the roof had a couple of serious issues. Our mobile RV service tech contacted Connie from Central and we quickly set up an appointment. Can’t say enough about the support we got. They were realistic, laid out all our options and helped us keep things in perspective. We elected to patch the areas and turnaround was about a week. Definitely feel we got our money’s worth and made some friends too.

Although we did not have to physically go to the location, we communicated with the Office Manager, Connie Mitchell. Connie is excellent. She responded to our email with details about our windshield that gave us a sense of relief and was the exact response we received from a professional windshield company.

On a recent RV trip my wife and I experienced a structural failure in our RV cab over. Now I am a skeptic about most claims and reviews as I am not sure that they really come from the customer. The reason for my skeptic nature is that I have experience in several fields. Besides liking a product, I have to analyze and understand why it is a good product. I was an aircraft mechanic in the Air Force, I am a woodworker, and I have worked as an electrician. My wife and I have worked through 5 new house builds and together we completed a renovation of a 100 year old house without assistance including building the kitchen cabinets. This is only the second review I have written and I have purchased many things throughout my life. We realized that the damage of our RV would require a professional who specialized in RV body/structural repair. We would not trust a national RV chain store, who says they have a repair facility mostly created to relieve you of your money and give you less than a finished product. My wife did some research and discovered Central Body repair located here in Kansas City. We called and scheduled a visit to get a behind the scene look at the facility and judge if we could trust them to work on our damaged RV. I also called my brother-in-law to come on the visit. He has over forty years of auto and bus body repair and paint experience. Together we had pretty much every angle covered to complete our research. Upon our arrival we noticed a very good local RV retail company bringing their new RV’s to Central Body to be fixed. They had issues with the factory body work. Our visit went well and it did not take long to realize this was the place we wanted to fix our RV. Throughout the process I was allowed to visit and view the work while in progress. They applied extra bracing to the structure and disassemble the cab over to find the cause of the failure. They were meticulous in their efforts to repair and reassemble the cab over. I brought my paint and body repair expert back to the shop before we took possession of the repaired RV. He indicated that the paint and body work was done very well. We are extremely pleased with the outcome of the repair to our RV. Central Body personnel are professional and pleasant to deal with. I provided the Shop Manager with a USB drive which she loaded with the many pictures that were taken throughout the process. I can actually see the whole repair of our RV. We can recommend this shop without reservation. Going anywhere else may not have resulted in the expected outcome. If you need work done, you owe it to yourself to pay these people a visit. The staff at Central Body has given me excellent customer service, I would not hesitate to recommend their services.

This company does awesome work. I had a turkey fly up and destroyed both windshield’s and the cap above the windshield. I worked with my insurance carrier trying to get the coach towed to the shop. After a week of getting passed around to auto towing companies that could not tow a class A coach I called Connie, she stepped up and arranged the towing service and handled all repairs in a timely manner. I just paid my deductible in the end and the coach looked like new again..I had used this shop for my business and they did an excellent excellent job then also. I rarely write reviews but this shop is an exception. I would recommend it for any RV body repairs. They were great to work with. Thanks Connie….

I recently had my RV repaired and the side repainted due to glass damage. I am thoroughly impressed with the service provided by Central Body. From start to finish, they demonstrated professionalism and expertise. The repair work itself was outstanding. The repainting job on the damaged side of the RV was flawless—it looks as good as new! They matched the paint perfectly, and you can't even tell there was any damage before. The customer service was also excellent. Our ordeal started in July 2023. The overhead cab under the overhead lights of our Class C and the slide out behind the fridge had water delamination and we had a concern of mold in the passenger side overcab wall. Central Body quoted 10K for repairs and roof replacement, which we accepted. I wanted the large overcab window removed, but they could not and so it was replaced with a guarantee of no future leaks. Remember this for later. Once they started the work they determined the roof wood needed replacement at an additional $1K cost. I had thought that was included in the original bid, but ok. We approved the increase. When time to pick up the vehicle the passenger back lights didn’t work. They said it was a light bulb and fixed it. However, once driving it home the back camera wasn’t working either. We returned it to have the electronics fixed. They tried to charge us but we refused since it was working when we took it in. Roughly a month later the entire back panel started to bubble. We sent photos and returned it. They said the glue failed and replaced. A month after returning to us (and still sitting in our driveway, no camping yet) we found mold growing in the overcab cushions. Once again we returned it and they said the seal was bad around the driver side window. Why wasn’t this noticed when they did the work up there and tinted the windows? So they replaced the wood and we had to throw away the cushions. We refused to pay for this since it was not leaking when we took it in for the original leak. At this point they fired us as customers saying our rig is old and is going to leak, do not bring it back. They should have told us that before we gave them $11,000. Fast forward to today, May 5 2024. We are dewinterizing it and found the large, front overcab window is leaking. The one they promised wouldn’t leak after they said they couldn’t remove it. We are so disappointed we gave them our business. We had no complaints with a shop in Johnson County, KS, who did our flooring, but this was closer.

These guys are wonderful! Our camper was scraped by a lawnmower, damaging the rear trim. I was sure it would cost a fortune to fix. Chris Norris and his team found the replacement part, had us fixed up within the week and it ended up not costing anywhere near what I had expected. I can’t say enough good things about these guys. I won’t go anywhere else. Amazing work by an amazing group!
