I've been bringing my '98 Saturn to Stewarts for about 10 years and they have always been so kind and thoughtful with my old car and this old lady. I highly recommend them to my friends. This visit was sort of a mixup but in the end they stepped forward and fixed the issues right away. Even remembered to keep my driver's seat way back since I have very long legs that don't always fit under the steering column.

I have only ever had pleasant experiences with Stewart's Donnybrook Automotive. Gary & Donny are amazing ambassadors for their business, and the mechanics are top-notch. If there is a service they don't offer, they will provide you with someone they would only personally use. Cannot say enough how much I enjoy doing business with them.

Customer service of the kind I received at Donnybrook is rare these days. I live in Houston, but my adult daughter, who also lives in Houston, called me from Tyler to tell me her car wouldn't run, so she had left it at a convenience store and taken an Uber to her destination (heading to hospital where a friend was having surgery). I got on Google Maps to find the store where her car was, then looked for nearby auto repair shops. Jackpot! Donnybrook Automotive was nearby and had excellent reviews. BUT, it was late. Luckily, Donnybrook lists an after-hours telephone number on their website, and when I called, the owner, Gary Stewart, answered! I explained my complicated situation, and Gary took it all in stride. He put me in touch with a reliable local towing service that picked up my daughter's car (without her having to be there), took it to the shop, and left the keys in the Night Drop. The next morning, Dean called me and explained the car's problems in detail, putting me at ease with his obvious expertise. That afternoon, Debbie (I think) called to tell me the car was ready. I was even able to pay the very reasonable bill over the phone so my daughter wouldn't have to worry about it. Crisis averted, and Daddy looks like a hero! Donnybrook Automotive is so good, it makes me wish I still lived near Tyler so I could take my cars there!

Gary and Dean are terrific! We have been taking our cars to them for years, and they have been trustworthy and have provided excellent care for our vehicles. Several times, I have taken one of our cars in due to a noise or some other question, and they have sent me home assuring me that it is nothing to worry about. They treat their customers the way they would want to be treated. You will not regret seeking automotive service from these East Texas brothers!

I have used Stewart’s for the last few years. They have always been knowledgeable and honest. As a woman I really appreciate the fact that they do not talk down to me or try to sell me things I do not need. I will never take my vehicles anywhere else. On my last oil change, Gary spotted something that if left unattended would have been a very expensive repair. He was able to repair it for almost nothing, because they care and pay attention. On my most recent repair, they were able to offer me an affordable option to replacing an expensive part. If there is a way for them to save you money without compromising your safety, they will do it. You can tell, they truly care. Thank you Gary, Dean & Debbie!

07 Chrysler 300 taken twice to Firestone and twice to dealer and over 3k in repairs with no solution to the problem. It took a week but Donnybrook had it diagnosed and repaired correctly for $1000 and car has been starting and running great ever since with no more check engine light! Thanks Gary for getting it right! Obviously I should have started at your shop and saved myself 3k.

Needed a new battery. It was ordered from the auto supply, arrived in 10 minutes and immediately installed. Staff was cordial and friendly. This place is so trustworthy. Our son went to UT Tyler. We do not live there. So Stewart's Donnybrook Automotive was recommended to us when our sons car needed attention. What a blessing! They kept in contact with us and made sure our son and the car was safe. Their price was very fair. Our son had to visit a few times while he was in college. Everytime, we were confident in their recommdations of repairs. Our son graduated in May of 23 but had to go to Tyler today. His engine light has been on so he drove to Stewart's Donnybrook Automotive while he was there to get an answer that he could trust. Sure enough, they remembered him and took care of him again. As a parent and a consumer, you can trust Stewart's Donnybrook Automotive. We even say when we have a problem that we should take our cars there. We live 3.5 hours away. That is how much we trust them.

This is my second review. Best service and workmanship. Gary and the staff jumped on my complete brake job (rotors & pads) and got me out the door. Not sure why it’s a 4.6 rating. The only person I observed that gave them a 1 rating had rated many others with the same. Maybe he’s the common denominator. Honest and Freedom Loving company. Love em!

I can't recommend these guys enough. Honest and full of integrity. I was originally quoted around $1300 for the repairs I needed. When they were done they called and told me it was only going to be a little over $1000. They could have pocketed that extra and I would have never known. You don't find people like that too often these days. If you go anywhere else for mechanic services I promise you are doing it wrong.

I LOVE these guys. The owner Gary is also the mechanic, and he genuinely cares about getting your vehicle fixed. They are fast and fair with very reasonable prices (which they will explain in full if you ask). I used them off and on for my personal vehicles for years, and now I convinced my boss to use them for our company vehicles as well! Highly recommend. I basically won't take my car(s) anywhere else now!

I recently took my car to Steward Automotive and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. The receptionist I dealt with was quite rude and snappy, which made the visit feel unwelcoming. On the other hand, the main guys I spoke with were very nice, and I appreciated their professionalism. That said, I was quoted an extremely high price for repairs and was even told that my car wasn’t worth fixing due to its condition. This didn’t sit right with me, so I got a second opinion from another shop. They told me the issues were very minimal and nothing to worry about, and it wouldn’t cost as much as i was first quoted, which was a huge relief but was a big contrast from what I was told at Steward. Overall, while the main staff were kind, the pricing and assessment felt misleading, and the front desk interaction was unpleasant. I’d recommend getting another opinion before moving forward with repairs here.

My 2018 F-150 check engine light started flashing on my way home from work to Tyler from Sulphur Springs. I stopped by, and Dean was able to work me in right away. They diagnosed the issue as a bad ignition coil, ordered the replacement part, had it delivered, and installed it — all within about an hour. Excellent service and very reasonable pricing!
