Anyone who drives a car knows how hard it is to find good, honest auto mechanics. Stratford Road Exxon and Winston-Salem car owners are so fortunate to have mechanics like Derrick and front office staff like Ashlyn to help us. They make this operation hands-down the top service station in Winston. Before I went there, I was sure I would not be able to afford it because the shop sits next to the most affluent neighborhood in the City, and, by and large, the majority of the vehicles they seem to work on probably have a base price of $50,000. I was wrong. This shop can service the most expensive sports car or a high-mileage, 20-year old vehicle like the one I have. They are great at getting you in the shop fast, diagnoses are spot on, and mechanics like Derrick, are old school mechanics who actually know vehicles from the ground up and can fix absolutely anything, with or without the use of sophisticated diagnostic computers. Admittedly, I am what most shops consider a "difficult" customer. Doesn't bother them. They are always professional, patient and treat me with respect, even if I am annoying. This shop has countless times helped me avoid huge car repair bills whenever they can, just by going the extra step, finding workarounds and being honest with me. You want this shop in your back pocket if you don't have gobs of money to throw at servicing and repairing your car. From the numerous high end cars I've see on their lifts, it looks like this is also the place to take your car if you own a very high end, complex vehicle - foreign or domestic. Check them out - you will be forever thankful you did.

I went in today and had some brake work done on my car and it was an amazing experience! The tech working on my car was named trace and was very knowledgeable along with his other tech, who were both equally handsome mind you! They had me in and out in less than an hour! Also got a good laugh at their coworker who was playing with his nun-chucks while we waited, all in all a wonderful experience!

I’ve been here several times, and I can say these people are very honest with me. I went to a random auto repair place yesterday near RDU for what looked like a serious problem, and they wanted to charge me for a bunch of parts related to the brake system and would need another day to order parts. I drove home and went here today unscheduled, and they only charged me $100 total to replace a simple sensor. Problem was fixed within two hours.

If I lived in Winston Salem, this would be my go to service center. I had an issue with my car while there recently, and not only did they quickly diagnose what was happening, they referred me to a more specialized center to make sure the car was fixed correctly. I was concerned about driving it back home but they gave me what I needed including showing me how to do it, to make me feel confident to get back. Ultimately, I did need to stop and do as directed on my way, but I did as instructed and made it back safely. I can’t tell you how grateful I am to have gotten their help and expertise. They were knowledgeable, helpful, and didn’t take advantage of me or charge me for all the extra support!

I have had a few services performed from this service center…ranging from oil change/brakes/and spark plugs most recently. All were executed with precision and expertise…and Ashlyn/Tammy/Chris and all the technicians have been friendly and knowledgeable. If you want great service on your vehicle you should definitely go to this family owned business where I’m sure you will feel welcomed and fairly treated!
