Matt and Tom provided excellent service in fixing a cylinder misfire problem on my BMW e39. The misfire was diagnosed quickly and replacing spark plugs and ignition coils solved the problem. However another misfire presented itself, which turned out to be just a loose connection on one of the fuel injectors. Two problems fixed promptly and no issues afterwards. Great job!

I was very nervous when I called about a failure of my Mazda because the model had been discontinued for nearly a decade. But it had low milages so I wasn't willing to let go. Bob explained their process and promised to guide my decisions, even though there was a chance that the car could be beyond repair. Luckily, it wasn't a mechanical failure, and Mat managed to source an exact part that Mazda no longer make. I was overjoyed when they told me that they no longer see the failure after replacing that part. Throughout the process, I felt that I was in solid hands with Sunnyvale Foreign Car Service.

I bought tires from tire rack for my 06 corvette z06, and tire rack recommended them to me for mounting and alignment, however after talking to Matt, he said they were not comfortable working on my car, but were more than happy to refer me to another shop and helped me drop off my tires to that shop since it would not fit in my car. So although I did not get my car worked on by them, I am very happy with the help and attitude, I took a look at the shop and the environment is very clean and organized. If I ever switched to a foreign car I know who I am going to! Thanks again Matt

Excellent source of good advice. I am treated as a good friend. Yesterday, I came in with a problem that the dealer could not solve. Any solution required a replacement part for a thirteen-year-old car. The dealer said the part was out of production and was not available. Sunnyvale Foreign Car Service said they knew a person who could repair the old part. I am sending the failed part out today.

I’ve been going to them with my car for more than 10 years. While they are a bit overpriced they provide very personalized and thorough attention to details. The team is very competent and knows their cars well. They document and highlight upcoming issues so I know what to expect 6-12 months ahead in my car. They also provide me a pickup/dropoff ride which is rare in this business.

I was referred to Sunnyvale Foreign Car Service earlier this year by another local mechanic who let me know that these guys specialize in BMW's and that he would even take his own car there given they are so experienced and honest. Like everyone else, looking for a mechanic is a painful experience, key things I look for are reviews, being honest, integrity, patience, knowledge, priced competitively and a lot of communication. My experience with Sunnyvale Foreign Car Service was above and beyond what I was expecting. Hands down, the best experience I've ever had with any mechanic. Taking my car there on 2 separate occasions was almost like being part of a community. They are sooo good at what they do, and extremely candid and honest. I call Matt the BMW whisperer, he is so good at what he does and so honest and easy to work with. They are closed on weekends, yet, knowing I needed my car back since I was doing a trade-in, Matt and his team worked on it on a Saturday and I got a call on Sunday morning putting me at ease that the car was set and would be ready on that Monday. I absolutely recommend these guys to anyone looking for an honest and reliable mechanic that will treat any car like their own and extremely good prices for the work they do! Bonus, they have 2 adorable dogs that greet you as you drive in.

Bob, Tom, and Derek are a full-service team that doesn't disappoint. I take my Nissan Leaf to them for any services other than those that can only be performed at the dealership. Their work is first rate, their prices reasonable, and their customer service ethic extraordinary. They respect customers like me who aren't mechanically inclined, and explain the issues clearly. They secure your approval every step of the way, to make sure there are no surprises. Their work ethic drives them to excellence, so occasionally I have to ask them to speak more slowly, which they most often do :) They even drive me to downtown Mountain View and back, so I can be productive while they work.
