I went here & dealt with manager Omar ,his mechanic changed my spark plug wires & threw away the clip that prevents the wires from touching the hot engine block while driving as if it wasn’t there for a reason. I let that slide & he replaced it with a clip that didn’t fit the wire size properly and could have fallen off into the engine compartment potentially causing issues so I bought my own for the correct size. Also had the valve cover gasket replaced and afterwards I noticed that the oil level was low & was still losing oil even after I added oil to the the full level, so that was a waste of time & $ as it leaked faster after the job was done. Also watched in amazement as Omar placed the parts I supplied on the filthy floor of the shop instead of a cart as my previous retired mechanic had always done. I brought my friend there to find out what was wrong with her car &Omar told me that the alternator needed to be replaced, he then proceeded to try to overcharge, Toco her warranty service for parts & labor, and she was only supposed to pay $100 deductible yet he tried to add $161 onto that, when we told him she’s only supposed to pay $100 he called me back in 2 minutes after he claimed he would check on it & suddenly agreed she only need to pay $100 deductible, then we got a call from the warranty company Toco telling us how he tried to overcharge 3 times the amount for the part in addition to trying to overcharge them on labor time & to be aware of what he was doing. Then after we went there to pick it up, his mechanic was explaining to us that her car still needed a bearing & a belt as he held his wet soapy, dripping hands over the engine compartment near the brand new alternator that had just been installed. So instead of informing the warranty company of all the needed repairs that would have been covered by the $100 deductible she needed to pay she still needed additional work to fix her car. When I went back to talk to Omar about this and explained that he was supposed to tell the warranty company about all the repairs needed so that she would be covered so that she should not have to pay another hundred dollar deductible he said he would have his brother call the warranty company to have them authorize the warranty for the parts needed to complete the job , I told him that because he did not tell them the 1st time about the additional parts & labor needed to complete the job she should not have to pay another hundred dollar deductible & he pretended to agree. It’s been a few days later & even though he agreed to contact me about completing the job for my friend I have never heard back from him again, so this speaks volumes as to how he could care less if she gets stranded on the road while he never keeps his word on completing the repairs for her car. Omar is a complete amateur as are his mechanics, please don’t waste your time & money with Prestige at this specific location, as you will be very disappointed with how things work out for your car. They certainly didn’t fix our cars correctly & I also forgot to mention they didn’t even put the engine cover back on the car after replacing her alternator so if I hadn’t noticed it and asked Omar to find the part & put it back on they would’ve kept it in the shop & it would not be protecting her engine as intended .Also Omar added the wrong power steering fluid to my car even after I told him that it was not right for my car as my car only uses transmission fluid in the power steering system, but he obviously didn’t care & added it anyway so I had to actually pump it out myself & replaced it with transmission fluid. So he put in the wrong fluid that could’ve damaged my power steering system because it wasn’t transmission fluid as required. Also engine cover for my friends car was filthy, compared to what it look like before we brought it in, and I had to wipe it clean to avoid other issues,he also told my power steering pump was bad but it was fine after replacing the fluid. Don’t ever go here !
