SwedeMasters were recommended to me by friends five years ago. I have had both a brand new Volvo and a very old model serviced here and have been happy with quality and thoroughness of the maintenance and repairs. On the old Volvo I bought from my sister, I especially have appreciated Tim's help in prioritizing which items are practical and cost effective to repair. Plus, all of the staff are incredibly nice and professional.

I have been taking my 2001 9-3 Saab to SwedeMasters for about 2 years now. With every appointment, I have been treated kindly and with respect by Tim and the rest of the gentlemen at the shop. I have very little knowledge regarding car repairs, other than basic upkeep that is needed to keep the car in good shape. Tim is always gracious and patient when explaining to me any problems the car needs fixed. He is always upfront about the costs regarding any repairs. My most recent fix on my car was the turbo charger, in which Tim was willing to discuss with me based on his experience whether such a repair was worth it and if so, what was the best way to go about it. I have had my car for ten years now, and have lived in 4 different states over this period of time. Never before have I gone to a place where I trust their service and advice so much. With the help of SwedeMasters I know that my little car will continue to remain in good working order for a good time to come. I feel confident for someone who commutes around 600 miles every week, that my car is going to get me to and from my destination because of the work they do at SwedeMasters.

I would love to give this place 5 stars, and honestly there is a reason this place is very highly rated for a repair shop. So why a 4 and not a 3 or a 5? For reference my car is a 05 volvo s80 with about 150k miles And, my car always feels better when I leave. The 5 star plug: So I had a huge service done a while back $4,000+ and I would have given 5 stars easy for that experience, happiest I'd ever been with a repair shop (they had my car for a couple days, done early). Super Professional, really knew what they were doing. The 4 star plug: Labor is expensive, which is what it is. I personally have felt all the above ratings. This being said, I would recommend this place because I do feel like my experiences have been better than other places. And I do trust them completely with my car. TL:DR expensive, professional 3 year later edit: I have moved a couple of times since my review (not in SB anymore) and had my vehicle serviced at other locations. Currently at about 220k miles and still going strong. I decided to change my rating from 4 to 5 stars. After having both good and meh experiences, they really do deserve a 5 overall. If I lived in SB I would still have them service my Volvo. They really did do a good job at every service as evidenced by my car still running like a champ.

Tim at SwedeMasters is who I will be taking my car too from here on out. He is pleasant, friendly, honest and thorough. He takes the time to explain everything and answer my questions as well. Its nice to have a mechanic you can trust.The email reminders and text are also super helpful. I highly recommend Swedemasters. Plus....my car was vacuumed and washed when I picked it up, such a nice surprise!

I'm a happy New customer of SwedeMasters with my Volvo S70. I had an engine miss and check light my prior mechanic couldn't resolve, Tim and team thoroughly checked out all engine issues and it turned out the spark plugs we used two years ago were not "liked" at all! Fresh set of Volvo plugs and happy engine runs great 👍 I'll be back soon to replace items they advised me on. Thanks ☺️

Tim and his staff have provided excellent service to my family for years. I give him much credit for the great condition of my reliable '84 Volvo, which has nearly 400,000 miles on it. Swedemasters is always a pleasure to visit. Tim has a cheerful attitude, shows integrity and care in his work, and always explains problems to me in an honest and clear way to understand. After an oil change, I took my XC60 to have the radio looked at. I was quoted over $700 to have the software loaded (i would be liable for the cost if it did not work). This was contrary to several dealers, parts suppliers, and other reputable independent Volvo shops that said it was plug and play (as long as part no. matches, they do)! Sketchy practices!

I had a great experience taking my Volvo C30 to Swedemasters today. They squeezed me in without much notice and did multiple repairs on my car in less than a day- I didn’t have to wait for the parts to come in. They even fixed additional things I didn’t ask about (glued mirror on tighter, put air in tires, etc). Competitive pricing and really knowledgeable and great staff. I especially enjoyed my interactions with Karen. Thanks guys! I’ll be coming back to you for all my car needs in the future.

I have been going to Tim and his crew for years because they are super knowledgable and highly skilled specialists! The prices are always fair and repairs are timely. There is always a great energy at the shop. I can't say that car maintenance is a pleasure of mine but it's always a pleasure running into the friendly people who work at SwedeMasters. Highly recommend for Volvo and other European car maintenance and repairs.

I have used SwedeMasters for service on my Volvo for years. Tim and Karen have always been efficient and friendly and great in getting the car done when they say it will be ready.
