I've been going to sweeten creek auto since I got my first car. I now work on my own cars but any time a project is too big for me I always bring it to them. You don't have to worry about them taking advantage of you or not being fast. They've even helped me out by calling parts manufacturers and insisting they need to warantee the item. They fix it right the first time. If I could give a higher rating I would!

Great experiences over the years. I have known the owner for 15 years and he is honest and hard working. His staff take care of folks like they are their own family. I have had to have services elsewhere because of issues arriving while I am out of town and the pricing is never as good as Sweeten Creek Automotive.

This review is way overdue. I have to thank Adam, the owner, for going above and beyond to save us during a vacation. We were taking our vintage airstream out for it's maiden voyage across the state. We made it 2 miles and a wheel fell off. Like the bearing blew out and the wheel came off and took off across the road. I didn't know what to do, so I had heard that good things about this place so I decided to try and get the airstream there on 3 wheels. I got there and initially he wanted to help, but just didn't have the space in the garage. But decided to come take a look at it anyway. he was able to diagnose the issue, and then took time to search out the needed parts, located them, found a buddy who was able to come do the repair within a few hours. After a few hours we actually got back on the road, after I was sure we were toast. He got us back on the road and we were able to start our vacation that I was sure was lost. I cant thank him enough for what he did for us that day. I can't recommend this place enough.

I had such a great experience here. Andrea was the best and got me in same day to have my brakes looked at. They could have told me they needed to be replaced, but were so honest and told me there was life left and that I was all set! $60 instead of hundreds later, I was out with a perfect car!

My partner and I just moved to the area and his car sounded like it needed some serious work done. We were looking for a car repair shop that we hopefully form a relationship with to trust with future car repair needs (always have to "have a guy", and that's hard when you don't know anyone in the area yet!). After reading the reviews on google and looking into a few different places, we decided to try Sweeten Creek and we are THRILLED that we did! It seems we've found 'our guy' on the first shot! Not only did they under promise and over deliver on the time frame (same dang day!) but their prices were very reasonable, and they helped us decide on what fixes were/would turn into major ASAP issues vs which repairs we would be able to hold off a bit longer for (moving is not a cheap thing to do, so our budget is tight). We are so happy to know we have a reliable, budget friendly, straight-forward, and honest business to help us out with our car needs from now on. Highly recommend these mechanics. Took my Ford Escape in on a time crunch for several issues transmission related. SCA honestly diagnosed the issue, ordered parts directly from Ford, and had it done within 5 days. 10/10 recommended over a dealership. Would use this business again. Honest, friendly, fairly priced and overall fantastic people.

I had to wait over a week for an appointment, which I actually appreciate because when I got in, they were very efficient in diagnosing the problem(s), ordering needed parts, and getting the work done. On top of letting me know the cost of repairs including tax so I know my total cost They were very good with letting me know when I could pick it up. I hate to write bad reviews, but I can’t not write a review after our last experience. We took our car in to get the thermostat replaced. It was expected to be a one day fix. This one day fix turned into a 10 day fix and we received a damaged car back. Upon completion of work, it was taken for a test drive. The mechanic did not close the hood and it blew up while driving. It smashed into the windshield damaging the hood and cracking the windshield. The paint on the hood doesn’t even match the body of the car. The car underwent unnecessary wear when we were trying to do simple maintenance. They did cover the cost of the thermostat which is why I’m giving it 2 stars and not 1, but I certainly don’t plan to go back and thankfully was planning to trade my car in anyways, or else I’d be even more furious.

Took my wife’s 2007 Chevy Suburban there because another local shop told me the rear main seal and oil pan was leaking. They quoted me $2200.00. After bringing it to Sweeten Creek, they figured out it was the oil pressure switch behind the intake leaking, causing it to run down between the motor and transmission. $500 later and no more oil in my driveway. I appreciate their honesty and would definitely recommend friends and family to them.

Not only was sweeten creek automotive the most affordable in the Asheville Area, to my surprise gave me a discount when they found out I was a veteran, which wasn’t necessary. Very thoughtful of them. Great to know they support first responders, and veterans. Highly recommend, they’re very personal, honest, and they do great work. Thank you Andrea and Scott!

My faith in a civilized decent humanity has been restored in about fifteen minutes. It was a small job that I should have been able to do myself but I didn’t have the confidence or the tools. Anyway I read about this shop in the reviews here and thought…no it was more I felt that taking it to this shop was the right thing. There person at the front desk was genuinely nice and the mechanic came right out and commenced to fixing the problem. With a sledge hammer! But it was exactly what was needed and he wielded it with precision and care. And then put everything back in place with skill. With some added parts. But wait here’s the crazy part!!! No charge!!! He allowed me to tip him which I hope I did adequately enough. What a kind and neighborly thing to do. I had mentioned that I recently moved here and I think he was just welcoming me to Asheville. But now he has a lifetime customer, one that will refer him often!!!

Scott and Andrea are the best! Our car was making a loud rattling noise when backing up, and they quickly diagnosed and fixed the issue. They also researched different prices for the parts and gave us the best price. The total came out to be even a little bit less than they had originally quoted. We have been using their services for both our vehicles for over a year and we have always been very pleased with their quality and speed. They were much more effective than going to the Ford dealership. Highly recommend!
