Swims Automotive. When you find a business that you trust and have faith in it's a great feeling! For many years I've been taking my vehicles when they've needed work to Swimms automotive in Natomas on Pell Drive. Over the years All of our four children's vehicles have been there numerous times for one thing or the other. I've always felt that I've been treated fairly and honestly. Today was another perfect example. Had a big radiator leak under my vehicle yesterday when I left work. Had to put close to 2 gallons of water in to fill it so it would run without blowing up the engine . I thought I had a hole in my radiator and that it needed to be replaced. I was prepared to have to shell out a big chunk of change for a new radiator. As it turned out Swimms found out that it was only a faulty radiator cap. So all in all it cost me the price of the cap, the diagnostic and some radiator fluid. This is the kind of service that I've come to expect from Swims. Good people= good business. Signed- a loyal customer.

I found them through Carvana's service network, and I'm glad I did! They fixed a weird problem with a car I had just purchased that chain shops wouldn't touch. The staff is very friendly and helpful and got my car back to me quickly :) 10/10 would use again

Sent my van there to have them replace an engine that was bad. Work came out more than double what they quoted and they could not finish job after nearly 6 months. Had to have van towed to a shop in Los Angeles to finish it. Then 500 miles later, a coolant hose burst. The shop in Sacramento fixing it said there were bent brackets, stripped bolts, wrong bolts, and they were shocked they said nothing about replacing the old hoses. So they did not finish the job, took 5-6 months, charged 2x the quote roughly, and did shoddy work. Not a fan of this place.

I have an older SUV and Trust no other to work on my car. I have gone thru numerous "Mechanics" and have had the most issues. When I took to Swims not only did they listen to me best describe the sounds I was hearing, but They actually fixed the issues. For a Female consumer its good to be heard about Your concerns and taken seriously. Good honest people. Competitive Pricing.

They Misdiagnosed the problem with my car and if I hadn’t saw the second opinion my engine would’ve been destroyed. I know that Swim‘s has good ratings and my dad has gone here with no issues, but I took my 2010 Prius and because it was making an odd noise and the check engine light was on. First off it took almost a week for me to get my car back, even though I made an appointment they still hadn’t even diagnosed the problem two days after I dropped off the car. Then they told me that it was an engine problem and they had bought me some time by switching out my spark plugs. The problem was still there though so I checked in with my mechanic at San Diego who said oh no that is absolutely a head gasket issue. I took it to gasket masters and they diagnose the head gasket issue and fixed my car. I spent $300 for not only my car not to be fixed, but if I had not followed my gut, My car would’ve been destroyed.

I chose this mechanic based on the good reviews they have here and it paid off. Called them for a quote on my Hyundai Accent which I think needs new struts and a cv boot and they told me that my car was still under warranty. I had already gotten quotes from other mechanics but none of them were honest enough to tell me this. I will definitely go back to these guys when my car is no longer under warranty. My mechanics, always good! Family business always recommend! They have always done wonderful work. My car 2003 & last gas fill up got 348 miles on a tank of gas 😍 and I have 110,870 something miles on my Pontiac Grand Prix! Swim's is awesome, trust me!

I was stranded at the airport with a flat and had called multiple tow companies, none of which would help me. Ray came in about 10 minutes, had to carry his tools through the garage because the garage was closed, had to take my spare to a local gas station to pump it up before I could drive on it because the tire pressure was too low, and made sure I was safe. He even rotated my back tire onto the front of the car because my car was front wheel drive and he felt it I would have better handling with the spare on. The cost was reasonable. His service was professional. Most of all, he was there when I needed him! I recommend Swim's Towing Enthusiastically!!

These folks were very nice and respectful. Our car ended up here after an accident and we had to retrieve personal property and release the vehicle to the insurance company. Our vehicle was owned by a family trust which created problems for release, but the young lady was very helpful and kind. The tow truck driver was great, kind and respectful as well.

I am writing to express my disappointment in the level of customer service received at swims today. I called to ask if they would help me fix my car, and Sherie at the front desk was very rude and angry with me and hung up in my face. So I called again as I wasn't sure if this was accidental. I was put on hold for five minuets eventually the line disconnected. Not sure what had done or said to deserve this treatment. But I am a paying guest, and there is no need to treat people with hostility. So I decided to drive over there and understand why they wont help me. It was very quiet and Sherie was at the front desk. I respectfully expressed my disappoint with the phone call and the lack of customer service. I tried to explained to Sherie what I needed, and she decided to double down on the bad customer service. She told me the hourly rate of how much they charge and sarcastically told me to have a Merry Christmas. What's the point of have a front desk person if they are going to just hang up on people and treat guests with disrespect. I am sorry this happened and will not be calling or recommending swims in the future.
