PLEASE READ BEFORE MAKING THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.. I am from out of town. My cars ABS light, service stabilitrack, service power steering came on when I got in town late Friday night. Same thing I just had happened to my truck a month prior. I went to auto parts store to get battery an alternator checked. All was fine. I needed it fixed I had to drive 6hrs home the next day. I left the O Riley’s and the closet mechanic was around the corner. I followed my gps. When I arrived I realized it was a mobile mechanic. I called and he said to wait there. I told him I had the same issue with my truck and it was the wheel speed sensor. As he was checking my battery and alternator… he said my alternator was over charging. I said I’ll go pick it up and run back over, that’s where I just came from. He said no I’ll get it. I told him I had military discount and he then told me I’ll get 20% off I can get it. I said ok I don’t mind it’s right around the Corning but he insisted. I stayed and waited in my car. He returned and changed the alternator. THAT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. I then mentioned the wheel speed sensor. Well he runs another test and yep… that’s what it is. He doesn’t even offer to fix that because he had something else to do he just wants me to pay and said either way I needed an alternator. Told me that it won’t hurt to drive home with a bad wheel speed sensor. I was there for a volleyball tournament and only had a few minutes by this time before I had to be there to coach. I am already upset but he tries to convince me that the alternator was needed. My “old” one read it was putting out 15 volts. I ask for a copy of the receipt because I needed it in case something happened to the alternator I needed the receipt for warranty. I get a copy and he is selling me the “new” alternator for $350. Before I pay I pull up the item number from receipt on the O Riley’s webpage. It’s a refurbished alternator and it only cost $205 plus I had already told him I wld get my discount. He said there is an up charge. I said for what?? He said because he went and got it. And he only paid $146 for it… which he marked out. I said u are going to upcharge me $200 bucks. Absolutely NOT. And I had already said I would go pick it up, literally around the corner. That’s when the nightmare began. He starts cussing me, storms out takes my keys and is yelling at his wife that I will not leave their until I pay the $350 plus the labor fee of $75. He will not give me the original alternator which also has a $40 core charge to return. I’m in tears and afraid. He is ranting and cussing and I am literally being held hostage at his house. The next step was to call 911. The wife is tryin to calm him down. I just want out of there. He won’t stop. It was scary and insane. She asked me to pay $300. That’s still ripping me off because like I said it didn’t fix the problem. My old alternator was fine, he wouldn’t give it back. But the same time I needed out of their. Because he was going crazy. I paid it got my keys and got the hell out of there. Do yourself a favor and find someone else. Worst experience I ever had!!! I agreed to pay $75 for the repair. Even though it was not the problem and he did not fix my car. I agreed to pay the price of the part. Which I should have received my old part back for the core charge. Did I mention he didnt fix my car. The part that he bought was $146. I would have got it for $160. My total charges were only $235. He was trying to charge me $200 extra. He was abusive to me and his wife. I wish now the whole thing was on video. All I have is audio.

I waited 2 hours at Hibdons and couldn’t get to give me just 5 min. of their time to look at my brakes. Googled and found Terry. He looked at them and told me what I needed in less than 5 min. I went to get the rotors and pads and he was able to put them on the next morning in about 30 min. Explained everything and was very knowledgeable! I have added him to my contacts and will definitely be using him again! Car runs great and only half the price of a dealership or Hibdons!

Terry replaced my brakes and rotors today. My brakes got "stuck" at work a couple of days ago because they were way worn down. I messaged him on Google last night and he got back to me right away. He came to my office today and literally replaced everything in the parking lot. He was very nice and explained everything to me and why each part needed to be replaced. I did not feel like he charged me too much, just because I'm a girl and know nothing about cars. I was quoted almost $150 more to replace brakes and rotors somewhere else. Ridiculous! And he came to me! I didn't even have to have it towed. I really appreciate it!! Thank you, Terry!! I will definitely be calling you next time I have any car issues! ***UPDATE AS OF 2/9/2024*** This is the "next time" I needed Terry's help. I got off work on Friday and went to Ross to buy an outfit to a wedding. When I came out and started my car, the battery light was on and I had no power steering. I somehow got into the parking space again and called Terry. I told him what was going on and he immediately knew what was wrong. He said "Turn the car off, you have lost a belt!". He didn't want my car to overheat or the battery to die. Anyhow, he was there in about 5 minutes. He was just about to drive to Norman for another call, but since I was right there, he got me fixed up. Looked at the car, pulled out the broken/old belt and ran to pick up a new one. Fixed the belt and even tightened up a battery cable that had been coming loose for me and cleaned it up. Terry is very fair on prices and I felt very taken care of. I appreciate you so much, man!!! I will definitely be calling again when it is needed and have your cards in my glove box for when I see anyone in distress or have friends/coworkers that need help. You are awesome!!! P. S. I wanted to do a new review, but it wouldn't let me. Lol. I just had to add to this one. 5 more stars!!!!

Had brakes done on daughter’s car. Brakes didn’t feel right so I took it back same day to have Terry re evaluate. He bled the brakes said it was good to go!! I still didn’t feel great about the brakes and told Terry. He said it’s probably air in the line it will settle the more you drive it. A week later the front caliper came off the rotor while my daughter was driving to work!!!!! Thank goodness she wasn’t on the highway and all stop lights were green. She was able to get it stopped in her work parking lot. Very scary to say the least!!! Took pictures to show Terry so I could get my money back. Terry would not refund my money because I had car towed to a shop 1mile from where car was. He said he didn’t get to inspect the car and he wasn’t going to return my money even though I sent him video of the caliper hanging off the rotor. He didn’t tighten the caliper bolts that’s why the brakes failed. There wasn’t enough pressure in the system because when the caliper came off it pushed the caliper piston out with all the brake fluid. Thus other wheels couldn’t properly function. This could have been life altering!!! All I asked was for a refund. Terry hung up on me and blocked my calls.
