Norman was absolutely amazing took care of everything in one day! Repaired my power steering hose, cigarette lighter port, buffed out paint from my door and took out the dent, and a wheel alignment as well. Previously repaired my exhaust and much other things. Fantastic pricing for those of us who like to stick to a budget. Great customer service, he breaks things down where you understand and learn about your car which is much appreciated by someone like myself who isn’t car savvy necessarily also first time car owner. He’s super patient and understanding and does amazing quality work the only mechanic I’ll allow on my car! Highly recommend!

Incredible experience here. I wouldn't want to go anywhere else. Everyone is so friendly, honest and very communicative. A deer did some serious damage to my car, and Norman walked me through everything with the insurance and made all the repairs, it was a most seamless experience. I thought my car was going to get totaled and they repaired it GOOD AS NEW! I would go back in a heartbeat. When the accident happened, the shop was closing but Norman stayed open to wait for my car to be dropped off. I am so grateful to have found this place and I will be back.

This place is great. It took less than 5 minutes to drop off my car. I was quoted a reasonable cost for brakes and alignment and was told it would be done within 2 hours. I dropped the car off Saturday morning so its a good relatively quiet time to get some car work done before needing it for errands and commuting, ect. I look forward to a long business relationship with the crew at T & D Auto Repair. Brought my partner's forester for an oil change on the same day. (Saturday June 1st, 2024) I will be bringing my Sienna back for 2 tires and transmission fluid within a few weeks. Thanks for the hard work and see you again soon.

Norman and the crew are some of the most honest, hard working people I've met. After having a horrible experience with South Slope Auto (they would keep my car for months at a time, and would charge me twice when they didn't fix the issue initially and had to do the service again) I feel so lucky to have brought my car in to T & D. As a woman car owner, I've always had to have my guards up super high with every mechanic consultation. What an amazing feeling it is to know that whenever I have any issue with my car, Norman will let me know exactly what's going on without piling on a bunch of other issues that would cost me extra. I used to wait at least 6 weeks to get my car back for a check engine light, and now I get it back in 2-3 days. This car shop is the definition of no-nonsense; it is their goal to get your car taken care of as quickly as possible and to do such a good job that you won't have to come back. Everyone in there treats me with such great respect and hospitality which I really appreciate as a girl going into such a male-majority space. Norman is super easy to reach, is a great communicator, passionate about what he does, and always makes sure his customers' needs come first. This team is the best mechanic crew in the city, you will never regret bringing your car here!

Took my 2018 Jeep Compass in for an EVAP code. Met Norman and immediately felt comfortable. This guy came off as honest and straight to the point. I didn't feel like he was trying to rake money from me instead he was trying to save me money! It can be daunting as a lady to venture to mechanic shops. Norman is THE best! Not only is he honest and reliable but he's easy to work with, charges very fair prices, never makes you feel bad about your car, and is always willing to explain things to you without being condescending. It's the first place I sent my mom after someone nearly took off her door in a car accident and there's no one I'd trust more with taking care of her. He does it all: electrical, body work, you name it. He's won my business for as long as I own a car in NYC.

Ok this will be a really detailed review. As I want to give people the detailed experience and the attention and service I received. I was recommended by one of my friends because I was having an issue with my car running rough. After I got it towed here, the owner Norman spent a few days diagnosing and called me back and informed me my head gasket blew. This would require an engine rebuild and they can do it where they would put in a lot of brand new parts. The car sat at the shop for a few months as he really did take his time and wanted to give me the car back in as perfect condition as possible. He kept me up to date throughout the whole process and sent me photos as well to keep me informed. He changed one of my right tires, gave me a newer batter which is an AGM, also got my inspection done because it expired while it was in the shop. Also informed me of an issue that I can fix later down the road as well. All in all he was very honest and fair in pricing and everyone knows that is supremely hard to find in mechanics. These guys are reliable, friendly and informative. Every issue with my car he broke it down and explained to me how it should properly be operating. So even a beginner will totally be able to comprehend his breakdowns. This is overall just a great service and experience. Thanks to Norman and the guys at T & D auto.

Norman and the rest of the team did an amazing job fixing up my engine! New York rats are a problem so some of my wires were chewed up, resulting in the car not running. After several weeks of trying to find time to fit in a visit, I finally was able to get a day that worked for my schedule. The car was brought in during the morning and within several hours, the engine bay was cleaned and it was running again. Price was transparent and fair and I would definitely stick with this shop as my main for any future needs if they arise.
