I'm happy to update this post and give this garage five stars again. After a negative post on here, the owner/Mark called me and offered me some refund on the misdiagnosis recently. Happy that this was resolved and just as I said before this is an honest garage. I've been to this garage numerous times at current location and their previous location on Michigan NE. Recently had nearly $600 repair that wasn't a repair. Even returned the vehicle and still they could not find the problem after a few days. I had to jump start my vehicle and take it a few blocks down the street to the dealer to get it fixed. And the dealer fixed it the same day. Sometimes this happens. My gripe is that Tammingas merely suggested putting the old alternator back on instead of any refund. I don't think I can continue doing business with this place unfortunately. I believe they're honest but they should work harder at compensating for their misdiagnosis.

This place is incredible. A couple weeks ago when taking my kid to soccer practice, something in my exhaust system came loose and was dragging. The next morning, a Friday, I called every place I could with no one having any availability or willingness to help. I called Tamminga expecting the same result. I spoke with Ricky who was so kind and genuine. Listened to my issue and set me an appt for that Monday which was the first available. However he knew how challenging it would be to not have a vehicle for the weekend so told me to come in and they would at least take the dragging part off so it would be drive-able until Monday. I did(at 15 mph on the side roads). Not only did they get me right in. They saw that my flex pipe connector was broken and could be replaced and tightened. They completed the repair within 30 mins. Charged me next to nothing. Never pressured me to replace anything(which I know I need to, the exhaust system is very old). And had me on my way with no need to come back. I met Mark, the owner and had the pleasure of his family coming by that day and watching their interactions. What amazing people. These are honest, skilled, kind professionals with hearts. I will never take my car anywhere else but here. And neither should you.

This was only my first experience with Tamminga. I had heard good things and had many positive referrals. The whole process was painless. I had some big repairs done, and they were completed quickly and at a very reasonable price. It's been over a week with frequent driving, and no issues. We will be back again. Both times they did exactly what was asked if them, communicated throughout the process, gave less expensive options, and never attempted to rip us off.
