I appreciate the excellent service provided by Kenia L. and Connie V. They ensured my first Tesla service experience was comfortable and enjoyable, surpassing the typical dealership experience. Thank you, Kenia L. and Connie V., for going above and beyond.

My experience at the Kearny Mesa Tesla Service Center was a mixed bag, heavily influenced by the stark contrast between the mobile service team and the on-site service advisor, Sean. The Bad: Dealing with Sean, the senior service advisor, was frustrating. When a service tech broke my driver-side door panel while replacing cracked wood trim, Sean attempted to shift the blame onto me. Furthermore, only the driver-side and center wood trim were replaced, leaving the equally worn passenger-side and center console trim untouched. Sean dismissed my concerns, claiming the untouched trim matched the quality of new vehicles—a claim that didn’t hold up, as the wood trim in a Model S I test-drove was smooth and intact. His refusal to listen, abrupt declaration that “we” deemed the trim acceptable, and subsequent dismissal of my request to speak with a manager via the app left a sour taste. For on-site visits, I’d strongly recommend choosing a different service advisor. The Good: The mobile service team, however, was exceptional. The mobile tech who repaired the broken panel not only agreed that the remaining trim was subpar but also went above and beyond to schedule a follow-up service to replace the passenger-side trim. Their expertise, professionalism, and outstanding customer service turned my experience around. If you have the option, always opt for mobile service. Overall: While Sean’s poor handling of the situation and LACK of customer service tempted me to rate this service center a 1-star, the mobile team’s top-notch work and care earned them a 5-star rating. The mobile service is the shining star here, making it worth considering for any Tesla repairs.

Brought in my car for a mcu2 upgrade and they damaged a couple of trim pieces around the screen they replaced. Also damaged a bumper and there is a humming sound coming from one of the speakers that was not there before. I emailed them about the issues but didn't hear back from them.

These guys have customer service down! Myself and three friends got our Model 3's in the past year and they made the experience even more special. Very thorough. Beverages offered. They have a well kept bathroom and couches (though I think they move things around for other events as needed). And they sell a selection of apparel, too, so if you need a Tesla shirt, go get one!

This place is a rip off. They lied and lied and lied, and they took all the money from me and didn’t fix the problem. I would never step back in here. The main technician didn’t know what he was saying and he lied and he kept mixing things up and they kept coming back and adding more parts and now my vehicle doesn’t even work the same.

Issue: I got my new model 3 2025 and 3 weeks later cameras and gps died. Goods visiting Tesla service : 1- They fixed the issue for free in 3 days. 2- I used a loaned car they provided to me. 3- Marc was awesome, he took ownership of the issue and make the things easy for me. 4- I received my car fixed with the 100% of battery. Not goods: 1- if they wash the cars it would be a great service. 2- Some of the customer service guys seems to they need a little bit more of skills to receive and work with customers.

I had a flat tire on my Tesla, and Christian and Moises came out to replace it. They were absolutely wonderful, professional, fast and clearly experienced. They did a great job! Thank you Christian and Moises for making what could have been a stressful situation so easy and pleasant!

I'm disappointed at this place. I had an appointment for service on 09/02/25 for my Model Y. I was supposed to receive a loaner vehicle. I receive a confirmation message the day before the appointment that a loaner vehicle would be available on the day of my appointment. When I arrived at 10:30am I was told that there weren't any loaner vehicles. I understand that a loaner is on a first come first serve basis but if you have a lot of work and don't have a loaner I wish someone from the service department would have called and said that so I can either reschedule or found another way of transportation. I drove two hours to the service center. I had not way to return home. What really made me upset was the fact that the service advisor (Mohamed) told me to wait for about 1-2 hours and as soon as the next loaner vehicle was available he would let me know. He assured me that I was the next person to receive a loaner vehicle. Well that didn't happened. Another person who came after us received a loaner. I knew she was after us because I overheard her on the phone telling someone that her appointment was at 11:00am. We had already been waiting for three hours at that point. I just go up and told them service advisor that I would reschedule instead. I needed to drive back home. Next time, please call ahead or send a text message that a loaner vehicle is not available. That way I could have rescheduled and not have to drive two hours and wait for three hours for a loaner vehicle that never showed up.

MARC IS THE MAN! Great service, very informative, if you are skeptical of going to the Tesla service center because you are afraid to ask questions or just don’t know what to do call Marc he will explain perfectly, he is honest on time estimates. Overall it’s hard to find great service on the phone and in person.

The first impression: wow how many teslas need a repair, second the man at the front deck didn’t listen to our needs and tried to offer to us to come back at another time when our rattling noise will be obvious, at the end technician was able to figure out the issue, kept the car overnight and fix the small problem inside rear view mirror. The man at the front desk had deposed two Uber vouchers to take care of our transportation. We are happy now.

I recently took my Tesla to the service center, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite having an appointment for 9 a.m., my car wasn't scheduled to be actually serviced until midnight. The communication throughout the process was good; once the service was complete, it felt like I was inconveniencing them. Overall, the lack of professionalism and care made this a frustrating and disappointing experience. This service center has nearly pushed me to my limits of whether I'll ever recommend a Tesla to anyone ever again. They installed my light bar illegally and refuse to unhook the harness for me. "This Service Document supersedes CD-24-90-001 R1, dated July 31, 2024. This new revision, R2, removes the soldering procedure for the off road lightbar jumper wires, adds steps for connecting the roof accessory jumper harness, and updates the Introduction. Each content change is marked by a vertical line in the left margin. Discard the previous version and replace it with this one." They sent me a document on how to connect the jumper harness since they are "legally" bound not to do so. I open the pillar and it's installed. I check the top of the truck and they failed to solder the wires. Per document they sent me, my job was to connect the jumper harness. Now reaching back out is a nightmare. They are constantly recommending me to go to a third party... They are barely listening to what I'm asking them to do. I just want to disconnect the harness without breaking it, and they just keep sending me a generic response. Completely insane. If I'm able to sell the truck on my 1-year mark, I'm very likely to do so and buy a different vehicle at this point.

There is something incredibly nefarious happening at this service center. Original estimate to fix a traction control / steering rack issue: $0 as it was under warranty. Now I am up to $3200 as they are attributing a small dent (2 inches) at the front right bumper to a steering rack replacement. My car is a 2026 model Y with 600 miles. I repeat 600 miles. I reset the car to try and clear the traction control error. When the car turned back on, the steering wheel was off center. I have to turn it left a little bit for the car to go straight. This literally happened after resetting the car. But they refuse to believe that there could have been a manufacturer defect. I’m seriously debating leaving the car there, that’s how infuriated I am with the level of common sense and service at this repair center. Avoid at ALL costs. Go literally anywhere else.

How do I give ZERO STARS!? This has got to be the worst place with some of the worst people to work with and its supposed to be a corporate direct Tesla dealer but instead feels like a hole in the wall shady way of doing business type of mechanic shop. I took my car in for an Alignment and paid them $275 when everywhere else charged $150-$200 but I said you know what, let me take it to the best place I can take it to and spend the extra money just so I am rest assured that they will take care of me and get it and boy WAS I WRONG! Prior to the dreadful Alignment that they performed, my car never pulled. I only took it in because I had gotten 4 new tires and Discount Tire recommended I get the car's Alignment done since I got new tires. The minute i drove it off I noticed the car pulling to the right very very bad. I immediately called and was told to come back in by Sean. When I came back in I was assisted by someone else since Sean pretended like he had no idea who I was who took me for a test drive and admitted the car was pulling right. They took the car in and began to "fix" the issue. After "fixing" it, we took it for another drive and it was as if absolutely nothing was done. A technician by the name of Sebastian came with me to test drive the car and you can CLEARLY notice the car was pulling to the right and yet he was blatantly lying and denying it was happening. First it was denial and then it was blame on the tires; tires I had JUST gotten. So after arguing with him, he finally decided he would "see" what he could do. I waited 2 more hours after the initial 3 hours to "see" what he could do and finally he calls me up and says its ready and i asked what was done and all he did was move the front tires from one side to the other - UNREAL!!! Needless to say didnt fix the issue but I had to leave because by then the dealership was closing. 2 days later, i took the car back in and this time I was assisted by Matt the technician who was also as AWFUL as Sebastian. Once again kept denying and kept blaming everything under the sun except their work. The car was pulling right and he knows he was doing his best by holding the steering wheel to keep it straight but lied to me straight to my face and said nothing was wrong and to go and have a nice day - the audacity, my goodness! I now have a 6 figure car that drives and pulls to the right with a service center and technicians who want to point blame and deny anything is wrong. I took a car to them where nothing was wrong & they proceeded to break it, take my money and frustrate the living hell out of me and now I am dealing w/ a car that wont stop pulling to the right BECAUSE OF THEIR WORK and they want to do nothing to help me. I am in completely disbelief!

About to take road trip back to Arizona today, however car computer completely dead and cooling fan made extremely loud weird noise. Walked in at this location at 8am as an emergency drop off. They were super friendly and high efficient. Diagnosed & replaced a new radiator within 3.5 hours through warranty. They completly made my day :) 10/10

Well I got here for my 7am appointment. First one there -the entrance was a little hard to find. Then after a few minutes I see a few more customers pull up. A guy with a beard and Wyatt Earp looking mustache comes out (Marc) and says good morning to everyone But me ?? and directs them to a waiting area and counter. So I follow them like a lost puppy..to the end of the line…Felt alienated and lost. Where’s my customer support and you know I was there first. Aha, Anyway we are all adults.. Not everyone is good at customer service and I shouldn’t let the neglect affect me personally. Maybe it was just bad timing idk. Then I get to the desk and Connor immediately tries to dismiss me with no real plan in place -other than waiting for some technical upgrade to take place, fine (btw this was correct, it started working after a few days) I had to show him evidence of the issue and insist on looking deeper.… he asked me to wait while he checked with his manager..I really appreciated that. Overall it wasn’t really that bad of an experience. I ended up getting tires rotated too. The loaner car was very convenient too. If they really want to out do the competition…make sure these service guys are on point. -Tesla shareholder MM33 (final edit)

My interaction with SEAN PRAEFKE was HORRIBLE. I wish I never had walked up to him. I got my tire patched 3 days ago and today it was having issues with the same tire and came in to get it checked. He was rude and didn’t even get up to check my car let alone letting me know about my options along with the warranty. He told me he can’t check the tire and he had to replace it for $369. I didn’t want to wait 2 hours and didn’t want to get it replaced. When I went back home and called to get a refund on the patch so I could get it fixed somewhere else I was told that they have to check my car to issue a refund and I had a warranty. I mentioned that I was there and I was told to get a replacement without even checking my car and the person on the phone went to talk to Sean. He told the advisor and the supervisor that I didn’t want them to check my car when I was there to get my car checked. He is a lying crook that is trying to sell new stuff without even getting up from his chair with 0 customer service skills. If you are not happy where you work go get another job instead of messing up people’s days. He wasted 3 hours of my days to drive back and forth.

I had a very frustrating experience with Tesla service. I submitted multiple requests through the app, including a driver door latch issue. When I picked up my car, the door panel was loose with a big gap — something they should have caught before returning the car. After several back-and-forths, waiting weeks for the part, and multiple technicians trying to repair instead of replace it, the new panel was finally installed correctly. While the final work was good, the poor communication, lack of follow-through, and returning my car in worse condition made this a very stressful experience. My advice: inspect your car carefully before leaving Tesla service.

Had my Tesla serviced for tire rotation and cleaning for front camera area. The car was not cleaned up after service (first picture) and the camera area still looks super dirty (second picture). When I contact the service person, there was no solution offered only excuse after excuse. At this point, I have zero confidence in their work. Avoid this Tesla service center if possible!
