Have been a customer for a few years so this review is overdue. Honestly still feel so lucky to have found such a great auto shop that happens to be walking distance from my house. It's super refreshing for staff to be so nice & not degrading when speaking to me about my car when I'm a woman. Have been going back for tire alignments and small issues, and will continue to do so. Work is always really straightforward and really quick, not to mention pricing is super affordable. Latest repair was on a rear power window not rolling up or down, happened to be a small broken part that required them opening the door console, yet turnaround time was less than 3 hours. Shoutout to Rafael at the counter for his patience despite me picking up my car at 4pm on a Friday!

Thank you, Advantec Auto Repair for great and fantastic oil leakage replacement work on my car last month. My communication was with, Ray and Bob they were very nice, professional & customers focus. They gave me time my car was going to be fixed and it was done on time. I feel I have to leave review because it was reviewed that brought me here after I’ve gone to several mechanics shop where they lack knowledge and insight. Advantec Auto Repair great reviews did made me little bit uneasy, but they proved to match their reviews. Thank you so much to everyone that works on my car.

I feel so lucky that I found this place! I've been bringing my car here for the past 2 years and have had nothing but great experiences. They are fast and friendly, the prices are reasonable, and I do not feel like I am being taken advantage of. They also provide recommendations on what might need to be done and when -- also with 0 pressure which I very much appreciate.

This place is awesome to put it plainly! I brought my car in to do some touch up work before a long car trip and I told them I only wanted the essentials done. They quoted me a very reasonable price and didn’t try to scam me into unnecessary services. Communication was clear and all the work was done quickly so that I was able to pick up my car by the end of the day. Their kindness and consideration for their customers is what really makes them stand out. Highly recommend!

Bob, and his crew have been around for some years, and came highly recommended from friends. They got my truck back up and running. I bought it used, and it blew a head gasket. Sat for quite sometime, as i did my fair amount of research on how to go about restoring it. Called around, and some shops just flat wouldn’t even entertain the idea. Bob worked with me, and went above on beyond to get my truck on the road. This shop went the extra mile, with certified parts straight from Toyota, and even threw in a new battery at no extra charge. There were some other components that i had bought, and Bob did not charge me extra. I wasn’t just searching for the right mechanic, i was also searching for a shop that i could trust, and recommend. I found that at Advantec Auto Repair, with Bob, and his crew. They will definitely have my loyalty.

I highly recommend Advantec Auto Repair. I have gone to them for several years now and have always had great service! After a recent brake service, my hand control device malfunctioned. The owner, Bob, has such high integrity that he paid for a replacement of my device at a high cost to his shop. If you want an honest, customer service oriented mechanic, look no further.

Took my old Toyota in cause the check engine light kept coming on and it was running rough. I’m not too car-smart but they explained everything in simple terms and didn’t try to scare me with a huge list of problems like some other shops I’ve been to. They figured out it was just a bad sensor and got it replaced the same day. Honest pricing, no pressure, and the car’s been running smooth ever since. I liked that they didn’t make me feel dumb for asking questions. Only thing is the waiting area could use a bit of cleaning but that’s not a big deal. At least they got the job done right and quick. It’s hard finding good trustworthy mechanics nowdays, so I’m glad I found these guys. Will def bring my car back if I need more work.

I started taking my car to Advantec about seven years ago when my Honda Civic needed a major repair and another local shop gave me a ridiculous estimate and tried to scare me into not driving away. The guys at Advantec do not upsell or recommend unneeded repairs or maintenance. They are honest, which is a rarity these days. After 12 years with my old car, I’m now bringing my CRV Hybrid to them and getting the same great service!

I have been a customer at Advantec since I first moved to San Diego almost 10 years ago. The customer service and professionalism here in unmatched, especially in an industry that can often feel a little daunting for someone like me who doesn't know much about cars or pricing on jobs. The guys there always take the time to explain the recommendations and repairs to me, along with pricing and how it all works. This is a mechanic shop that you don't need to feel worried about being swindled or overpriced. They are consistent, reliable, friendly and professional. I won't be going anywhere else and couldn't recommend Advantec more!
