Something was squeaking & rattling coming from the left rear. Went to 2 other places including Firestone which tried to upsell me to changing my 6 month old brake pads and rotor. The other place i went to said it was the sway bar links & bushings that needs replacing. I came to Jim and Bert to get the links and bushings installed (since i thought that was the problem) Cant beat the quality of work and price at Jim and Bert. I asked Kuya Bert to see if i need new brakes and he did a courtesy check. Came to find out, the squeaking was due to a missing bolt when I got my brake pads replaced 6 months ago (a friend did it since i tried to save money) --- grrr -- long story short, im never gonna cut corners again in an attempt to save money and i'll be sure to ONLY bring my car to Jim & Bert Auto Repair!

Went to get spark plugs and ignition coils swapped for my BMW for smog. We had a ton of misfires the next day but that didn't stop them from fixing the issues and going the extra mile with resolving a few extra codes the OBD-II was throwing at us. Easy and fast service with fair pricing.

They repaired the transmission. 14 months later it failed completely (12,000 miles 12 month warranty) They were very slow getting it done and the counter man who tells you what is going on is very difficult to understand. This is the 2nd total failure this same week of a job previously done. (Bearings on a Ford PU) Often they only fix one item on the list when there are other repairs. Because of the wait time, they are so busy they never start repairs the day you bring it in. We paid close to $1,000 and got 14 months then total failure. They are honest but slow, incompetent, and just too busy to even read the repair list

Please guys are is honest as the day is long. I have been going here for years and have never had a single issue omer problem with their work. Often it is completed at half the cost of what the dealer had estimated. My only concern is that too many people find out about their great service and they become too busy to help me.Not the prettiest shop in the world but certainly the most efficient and cost effective I have ever encountered.

The best mechanics around! I've been going to them for years with multiple vehicles and they are always amazing! The guys are so honest, hard working, and really try their best to help you. It's such a relief to know my cars are in good hands as too many bad mechanics are out there and all they car about is money. It's not about money to these guys, it's about getting your car fixed for the appropriate cost!!! I've never taken my cars to anyone else!!! This place came highly recommended by a car enthusiast I met waiting in line somewhere. He had went to them for 20 years already. They are pretty busy all the time because everyone knows they have very fair repair prices. The trade off is you have to source your own parts list. There's only two of them and they both work on everything so it's easier for them to do it that way. I didn't mind for the cost savings. As far as quality of work I give it 5 stars. I went in for a water pump replacement and he got right on it. The car went through two extreme pressure tests (on accident) and passed without issue so I know for sure that the repair is Solid. They feel like friendly uncles that are good at their profession. I recommend this place. If they get too busy though and you can't get in, that area has lots of repair places. Theres even a place next door and those guys are also friendly and have a bigger mechanic team on duty everyday so maybe they can take your appointment.
