I seriously cannot recommend Jay and Texas Auto Accessories highly enough! On a Thursday afternoon I heard a weird creaking sound when I went to close my sunroof. After that, my sunroof wouldn't open at all. When I hit the button (and despite how much I tried pushing and pulling), one of the hinges at the rear corner of the sunroof appeared to be completely seized. After reading a ton of posts on various online forums I found out that the panoramic sunroof on my Mercedes is notoriously difficult and very expensive to repair. If I were to take it to the Mercedes dealership it would have cost me $3.8-$4.5K to fix. I was almost resigned to a life of not having a usable sunroof from here on out, but couldn't imagine dealing with that come summertime in Texas. After a bit of searching online, I came across Texas Auto Accessories. Their many 5-star reviews led to me give them a call on the Friday evening. Jay immediately answered and was more than generous/patient with his time discussing the problems with my sunroof with me. He said that I could bring my car down to him the very next day and he would go and get the necessary parts from Mercedes in the morning (keep in mind, this would be on a SATURDAY). I arrived at Jay's shop around noon and he immediately got to work. Despite all of the forums saying the job usually took 5+ hours, Jay completely repaired the sunroof in just a little over 3 hours! And he fixed it PERFECTLY! I watched Jay work the entire time and let me tell you, this was no easy job! He had to take out my car's entire headliner, disconnecting all of my visors, lights, etc. and he took the entire sunroof out of the car. Jay completely disassembled the sunroof rails/complex parts and replaced the broken parts with new ones. When he put everything back together it was as good as new! I took the car for a test drive when he was done and there wasn't even a hint of wind noise coming from the sunroof. All of the seals and the sunroof operation was perfect. Not only that, he took the time/care and attention to detail to put everything back exactly as it should be (even cleaning the entire area too)! The entire cost was a fraction of what the Mercedes dealership would have charged me. Not to mention, I was able to have the whole thing fixed the VERY NEXT DAY after I called Jay, rather than having to wait weeks for when the Mercedes dealership would've finally been able to fit me in and schedule an appointment. And also just to say, on a personal note, Jay is a great guy. We talked the entire time he was working on my car and it was clear to me that he's a genuinely nice and honest guy - a rare thing to find amongst car mechanics these days. I would definitely recommend Jay to anyone else, including my own friends and family. If I ever have an issue with my sunroof or car's windows in the future, I 100% wouldn't hesitate to bring it back to Jay and Texas Auto Accessories. I hope others who have sunroof issues needing repair read this and have the same awesome experience as I did, you won't regret it! (Thanks again Jay!)

Excellent service and excellent prices. Fixed the sunroof on my 2017 Hyundai Tucson after it shattered (pretty sure it was due to some type of recall issue). Brought my ‘05 scion tc in after material flew off a truck and damaged my sunroof. Jay not only replaced my sunroof but he got the sunroof to start working again after many years of it being broken. I was back and forth on just replacing the glass or the whole unit considering it is a 20 year old car but happy I went with the whole unit replacement. I could not be happier with the work AND the PRICE! Being only 1/2 people out of San Antonio who specializes in sunroof repairs, I 200/10 recommend him! Super cool guy, got me in within a day, educated me on the repair, his communication was GREAT, and he fully executed the mission. Had an issue with the sunroof on my 2014 Scion tC not opening. Jay was able to diagnose the problem quickly and had it fixed in under an hour. He even let me watch as he worked and explained everything step by step, which I really appreciated. The work was solid and the price was more than fair. I was driving home from work when my sunroof exploded.. yes exploded. There was no rock that hit my car or any debris around to cause it to break. I googled repair shops near my area and “Texas Auto Accessories” stood out with all their positive reviews. I called and spoke with Jay who was able to find a factory replacement glass and stated he can do the repair same day. After he picked up the replacement glass, it took him a whole 20 minutes to fix. He greased all the motor components and as well as cleaned the drain line. The price was fair and customer service was great. If you’re reading this review then your sunroof is broken in some way. Call Jay with Texas Auto Accessories, you will not be disappointed!

The sunroof rails on my F150 snapped. I heard about Jay and Texas Auto Accessories from an auto glass shop in Boerne. I spoke to Jay on the phone and he immediately help diagnose the problem and provided a quote for repairs. I scheduled time with him for the next day. I was in and out in just over an hour. A job like this would have taken me an entire weekend or more as a DIY, and I would likely not have the correct tools, parts, etc.. I highly recommend Texas Auto Accessories.

First let me say thank you to Jay and I see why Texas Auto Accessories has a 5 star review! My sunroof wouldn’t close, which was a real problem especially with all this rain we have been getting lately. I dropped off my car around 1100, and just an hour later, I received a text from Jay, complete with pictures and a detailed explanation of the issues. It was like a play by play was being given as he kept working through the issues. He even had to remove the headliner. A little before 1500, I received a text stating the sunroof was fixed and ready for pickup. I'm really glad I didn’t take my vehicle to a local auto shop; they would’ve likely charged me a fortune for repairs. I can definitely say what Jay charged was much less than I anticipated. I've already recommended this shop to my friends and family. Thank you once again, Jay, for resolving the sunroof issue on my 2004 Durango. We have a 98 4Runner that has a propensity for the cables in the sunroof pulley system to rust over time. Ours stopped working years ago…but it didn’t become a problem until the roof started leaking in the rain. We kept in the garage for years until one weekend we decided to try and tackle the repair ourselves. We got it taken apart…where it sat for 6 months because we couldn’t figure out how to get it all back together. Eventually we did a google search that led us to Jay. It took Jay no time to ensure the new (from junkyard) sunroof was working and lubed…and installed! And he came to our house too! At a very reasonable price. We even gave him a big tip because we were prepared for it to be $1000 or more. If your sunroof is leaking or it isn’t working, you must take it to Jay. He also installed roof insulation that we had ordered but hadn’t put in beforehand. Jay is just a small business owner who seems like he works mainly for the love of fixing stuff. He could probably charge twice as much and be justified.

I thank The Lord I found Jay in my favorite city San Antonio Texas. I went to 4/5 autos body shops and none had any interest in helping me out. I was referred by Russell at Cooper Auto Body in Corpus Christi Texas for this specific professional “that’s all he does is Sunroof work “ so I called Jay and scheduled an appointment that week. I drove 2.5hrs to SAT and Jay started on the project immediately and after 2-3hrs, Jay magically repaired my sunroof conundrum. Jay was so professional and he did a fantastic job!! Highly recommend Jay with Texas Auto Accessories!!!!!!! Any and all sunroof issues you may have call Jay here first! I have a Ford F-150 with a moo roof which is notorious for breaking due to cheap plastic parts. Jay was able to diagnose over the phone and give me a hell of a deal all while taking my truck in the same day. Had it all done and taken care of in just over an hour himself. Now I got my sunroof operating again and have his warranty just in case. I would have been charged at least double at other places as I did call around.

Jay from Texas Auto Accessories is the pro when it comes to sunroof repair. After some horrible noises my sunroof broke and dealer quoted nearly $3600 for repair. Jay was much more reasonable, he had plenty of experience already that made me comfortable leaving my truck and he knocked out the repair in just a few hours. I called Mr. Jay Monday morning to explain my sunroof issue. I took it over at lunch time for him to look it over. After explaining the issue, he repaired my truck's sunroof in 20 mins. Mr. Jay was such a pleasant professional. His cost are unbeatable, very personable, truly cares about the work he does, he explains everything and if possible will even try to save you cost with recommendations. I called Jay to see if he could repair my panoramic sunroof on my 2018 F150. They are notorious for having issues. He let me know when he had the parts in stock and we scheduled a time for me to bring the truck in for him to give a free estimate. He took a look at it and let me know that he was able to fix the drip rail that was inside of it so it did not have to get replaced he also replaced the cables and the guide arms inside of the tracks. He did it all within a couple of hours for an insanely reasonable price compared to what you would pay at a dealership. I would definitely recommend calling Jay for any sunroof repairs and I will be recommending him to anyone in the future.
