I had am emergency on a weekend. They fixed my whole A/C system on, when no one would on a weekend. Worked on the lowest prices. For years I will drive from outside SA. They work on everything. Friendly and again affordable and straight on costs. I recommend this place 100% for ANY mechanical problem.

I had spoken to and worked with these guys for around a month. Thomas & John were always the ones to answer the phone, it was consistent and whatever I told to one the other was on the same page. I live in Houston and I've had a truck that was my father's that last ran "well" in 2020, thing had a broken rocker arm break off and turn into shrapnel in the engine. I was dead set on no fuss and getting an engine replacement. I knew what I wanted. I called 6 shops in San Antonio & got quotes, did everything over the phone and would travel to town as I needed. I ended up giving Thomas the green light and when we were coordinating how to get the vehicle there they had their own tow truck & we were able to work something out that was convinent. I drove down to town , threw 4 brand new Mojave tires from discount in the truck & although they don't do tires they worked with another shop to outsource that part of the work and bill it all under one while they took care of my Ford f150 5.4L engine replacement. Thomas & John were in communication often. I put the deposit down for the engine on a Monday , truck was in their shop by Saturday , and the Saturday after the engine was replaced and the truck was ready for me to pick up. Of course random parts did spring up that needed to be fixed and replaced but they called to get approval and run through options whenever anything came up, they were honest and upfront even telling me about a 10$ gas charge they needed for test driving the vehicle. Awesome guys. Sooo for the finale of this I drove back to San Antonio with a rental car , to drive a truck that just had its engine replaced by these guys to Houston and I hadn't seen the truck run for more than 5 miles in around 7 years -- a leap of faith oh hell yeah. Did I make it the 3 hour and 40 minute drive? Yes. Did I have any issues with the vehicle during the drive ? No. Was I anxious ? Damn right I was. So to wrap this month long journey up of on the phone communication , trips between cities , approval of parts , deposits put down despite only having talked to these people and not met them in person. I am extremely happy to have chosen them, quality work, and they didn't judge when I had a far from perfect vehicle sent to their shop to be worked on. Thanks guys if you read this one day. My father really enjoyed seeing the truck back up and running after you all did the engine replacement, radiator replacement , and cable for transmission shifting. Appreciate you all.

I took my truck to this place because of the reviews I saw here. They replaced my valve cover gaskets, they said it was leaking from one bolt so I waited for them to correct. I was told the leak was stopped. When I get home my truck is smoking, oil obviously leaking, I can see it. We will see how good these guys are on Monday when I take the truck back. I took my truck back. They found the valve cover gasket had moved during the install. They corrected that, and after a few days of monitoring it looks like there are no leaks. So I will update my rating.

I had a terrible experience with this mechanic shop. I trusted them to work on my car, and when I picked it up, I noticed significant curb rash on one of my rims that wasn’t there before. When I confronted them about it, they were completely dishonest and showed no integrity. They refused to take responsibility for the damage and didn’t offer any solutions. It’s clear they don’t care about their customers or the condition of their vehicles. I’m incredibly disappointed and will never return. I definitely don’t recommend this place to anyone.

Came in today based on the good reviews and super convenient location. I wasn't sure exactly what I needed but they helped me sort it out. Ended up getting diagnostics done to troubleshoot some issues I'd been having and thankfully it all came back good. It was worth it to have piece of mind. They also checked out the rest of my car and spotted a few things that need repair - which I was grateful to learn. I'll start working my way through that list and report back again. But for now I'm happy with my 1st visit to this shop and will happily come back. Good customer service and clean shop.

I actually called the wrong number and for some reason led me here. Spoke with Travis and said they do auto repairs. I had told him my car problems and had me come in. Gave it a pretty thorough diagnostic and told me the problems I had not to mention the problems I was also not aware of. Fixed them in pretty quick and was fairly priced unlike the service that North Park Toyota quoted me on. Very professional and definitely recommend Texas Auto Repairs for future car problems. I had an excellent experience at Texas Auto Repair, and I honestly couldn’t be more impressed with the level of service I received. From the moment I walked in, it was clear this shop is run the right way. John, the owner, runs an honest, professional operation, and that attitude carries through the entire team. Thomas, who runs the front end, was a huge help throughout the whole process. He was friendly, respectful, and took the time to explain everything in a way that actually made sense. This place was great! Treated me fairly, told me exactly what to expect with the cost and stuck to it. They didn’t sugar coat anything nor did they try to sell me. They were honest and told me the amount it will cost to fix it isn’t worth the money. If you need your car looked at with no bs and want a fair price, my advice, call Thomas. This guy helped me and even helped with getting my car towed to the repair shop for a super affordable fee! I will be coming back for any car issues in the future!
