My wife’s beloved 2014 new Beetle got slammed by something falling off a flatbed trailer on the Tollway, completely destroying the windshield, headlamp, hood, and big dings on the front passenger side. The hit was so hard it cracked the metal corner of the roof where the windshield mounts, and because of that our insurance wanted to total the car. Chris at The Body Shop convinced the insurance that they could weld the crack and secure the windshield like new, and man is it a perfect repair! Thanks to these great craftsmen the irreplaceable Beetle looks like new. This isn’t a place you want to have to revisit, but if the situation demands, this will be the only place I will go for bodywork. Thanks Chris and team!

One would think all body shops are the same, however I will confess, The Body Shop in McKinney Texas takes collision repair to a whole different level. From the initial meeting, I felt as if they truly wanted to earn the business. My Service Advisor Joshua Keith was top notch. He always greeted me by name, and was always very professional. Additionally, they utilize an Application that keeps you informed of the entire process. As an added bonus, my car was completely 3 days earlier than expected. The Body Shop definitely gets two thumbs up:)

I took my brand new (2 weeks old) Honda SUV to The Body Shop McKinney after a minor scratch on the passenger side door, expecting professional work, but what I got was a total disappointment. They unnecessarily quoted tons of parts and told me those are supporting parts are "needed" for the scratch repair! The lady who gave me the initial quote, had to print the list of parts in 2 pages and was rushing to explain she needs all those parts. They took 2.5 weeks (unbelievable!) for a small scratch repair, and when I picked up the car, I immediately noticed uneven and glaring body panel gaps around the hood, fenders, and doors that were never there before; some gaps are over a quarter-inch wide while others are practically very visible gaps. The repair work looked like it was done by someone who’s never fixed car body dents. I’d strongly advise anyone with a Honda (or any vehicle) to stay far away from The Body Shop McKinney. When I showed the owner the ridiculous panel gaps on my car, and his response was a shrug and “I don’t know how those got there.” He literally stood there claiming the car must have had those gaps before or somehow “appeared” right on that moment in broad daylight. When I pointed out that gaps on both side of the car, he still played dumb and said they “don’t adjust gaps that were there before" as part of collision repair, which is an outright lie. Instead of owning the sloppy work or offering to fix it, he got defensive and tried to rush me out the door.

I literally never leave reviews for anything but I have to give The Body Shop McKinney an 11/10. I was so upset that my brand new Honda pilot got bad hail damage within 5-6weeks of buying it but I was recommended to this shop by the dealership and insurance and they were phenomenal. I bought the car as an upgrade family car our first baby that and when I dropped the car off it was not expected to be ready until 6/12. I was so upset that we would not be able to bring the baby home in our new car and told Josh if there was anything he could do to expedite it but had little to no hope the car would be ready in time. The baby came early but they finished the car a whole week early!!! To top it off they brought and dropped the car off at the hospital for us!!! I’ve never experienced that level of customer service and care anywhere ever. Not only that, car is back to looking brand new!

Who knew how great a car repair experience could be. My Honda CRV got hail damage and The Body Shop did a fantastic job repairing the damages. The reason I gave The Body Shop a 4 star rating was due to the lack of communication with my advisor Chris. He never called me about the progress of my car. I received several e mails saying my car would be ready on a certain day and then that day came received another date for 3 days later. I had to call The Body Shop to find out who my advisor was and to see what was up with the date change. Every time I had to call him. I feel like there should have been more communication between myself and the advisor Chris. I do highly recommend The Body Shop for repairs.

Five star because, all said, I believe they are the best that can be had in Collin County. That is not to say all went well. They lost a part and had to do an end run because of that. They also had to re-paint my hood because they didn't do it right the first time, causing delays. I believe the service one receives greatly depends on who is assigned to oversee your repairs. He is the one that makes sure repairs are moving along in a timely manner and that they are done correctly with quality. He deals with insurance companies and is also the one that communicates to you the progress of the repairs and sets expectations. Joel was assigned to my case, and he was awesome in every way. However, in the middle of the repairs he went on vacation for a week (well deserved) but the one that took over during that time, Caleb, was not so great. He miscommunicated information, and also set up expectations that were not met. He also did not stay on top of the repairs. When Joel came back he had to step in and straighten things out. All that said, in the end the repairs were best quality and I believe The Body Shop, though not perfect, is the best in Collin County, Texas.

The best body shop by far! This was my first car repair and I’ve heard horror stories from other people about how long and tedious the repairs can be. Not at this shop. I had a bad month, my car was hit in a parking lot then 2wks later my son was in an accident in my other car. Both vehicles were being repaired by The Body Shop Collision Repair. My 2020 Altima was dropped off on Aug. 1st, I just picked it up Aug. 28th. Insurance delays.. The Body Shop did a great job! Great communication, I was fully informed during the entire process. Thank you Chris Ward and The Body Shop Team. I'll see you soon when my son's vehicle is ready.
