I had to have the top end of my motor rebuilt, Basically needed the fuel injection system replaced new Injectors, plugs ,coils , head gasket also I had it Dyna tuned I had them do a full systems check and inspection. I am an Electrician, my truck is my mobile office and also one of my most important tools . So it’s my responsibility to have it running correctly for everyone on the road. The Dyna shop come highly recommended, and they lived up to it . My truck now purrs like a happy cat. Thank you CJ

The quality of service is 5 star from front office, diagnostic techs and repair/replacement technicians. My truck is cared for like every classic deserves. Price is fair, service options can be discussed and my personal inputs are never ignored. Overnight security was greatly appreciated.

I have been to mechanics all over this country. I have never been to better mechanics than The Dyno Shop in my life. I bought a shuttle bus hoping to start a business with it for what I thought was a great deal. Then it stopped stuck in gear and I had to pay $1,000 for a tow and $895 to diagnose the problem. I had it towed to one of the only mechanics besides the stealership who would work on it- the dyno shop. Initially I freaked out because I thought this was just another of my really bad choices. Nicole must have sensed I was 'upset'. She is an amazingly positive person as well as a great communicator. Since I paid them for the diagnosis I decided to have them do the plugs, wires and other various things after they fixed what kept it stuck in gear which was a relay switch. They finished all the work up in a couple days. I noticed when driving away from the shop the ac wasn't working. I turned around and went back at 5 pm and the owner made it work again. Now the door isn't opening but I have total confidence I will bring it back, they will find the loose wire in the dash and they will repair it. Besides that I am glad I didn't try the plugs on my own. The YouTube video of the heat shields looked like something I could mess up easy. All the plugs were dirty before. Now the check engine light is not on. I am getting much better mileage. They also found I dry rotting hose and replaced it. They informed me that my engine had work and that the transmission was put in 80k miles ago. They were impressed by the good condition of my shuttle bus. If i register the van in Az and take all the seats out it will be easy to convert to an RV registration later. So it's not a big deal after all. I think as long as I am in a hundred mile radius or more from The Dyno Dhop I will bring all my vehicles exclusively to them. They are meticulous, knowledgeable, kind, understanding and they own the quality and the precision of their work. What a pleasure it is doing business with great people like this. On the way out my vampire dog attacked the owner and scratched him. My dog is almost always good but decided to lunge at him when I was off guard. What an understanding man. Truth is only people who hunt bear should own a dog like my Plott hound that I adopted in West Virginia. I hate his bad habits but I love him. To summarize: I have modified my cars myself. I have done shocks and springs, alternators, starters, trans fluid changes , brakes etc... What they charged was fair in my opinion especially because they know what they are doing. I feel much better now and in the future bringing it to them as opposed to the other options in the area including the dealership.

Most deserving of a 5 Star rating. I swapped out the original V8 engine in my 1995 Suburban 2500, replacing it with a newly rebuilt 2001 5.3L Vortec. The Engine needed adjustments, PCM, Mapping, and a few other particulars beyond my skill set. Starts up and runs like it's supposed to for a 2300-mile Road Trip!

My experience with The Dyno Shop was great! I brought in a RV for pre purchase inspection. After the inspection process and after speaking with Mike we were able to come to a fair purchase price. I will definitely bring my vehicles in the future. Top notch service! Nicole was wonderful as well in explaining the breakdown of the inspection report, I would definitely recommend The Dyno Shop to anyone looking to have a pre purchase inspection done if you want peace of mind in purchasing a used vehicle. The staff at Dino shop is exceptional. They are very attentive. They understand frustration, especially when you have 50-year-old motorhome so I think Dino in this case in my case at least meant dinosaur they were patient with me and their attention to detail was second to none thank you and your team For helping me to refurbishing remodel my RV. Had a great experience with the Dino shop and the staff there. I took my 1978 rabbit to be Smogged After no shops in El Cajon would look at it due to the age. The staff there was knowledgeable and friendly will definitely return when my other cars are up for smog.

I took my Chevelle to get a Dyno tune. I was offered a Dyno check at the cost of $450 before a tune was done, if needed. Believing that cost would go towards the dyno tune if needed I opted for that. After the dyno check was done a dyno tune was recommended at an additional $1400 (on top of the 450 I had already paid). Had that been made clear I would have opted for the dyno tune from the get-go since I knew my car needed several adjustments. Feel like they got one over on me. After all that my car runs like it did when I dropped it off. Would not recommend.

I took an rv to Dyno for a pre-purchase inspection. The vehicle looked in great shape, however, there were some hidden issues (not on behalf of the owner) that provided me with some leverage to further negotiate the price. I recommend The Dyno Shop if you are considering buying a rv or other vehicle if you want a detailed pre-inspection of a vehicle. They were great, from Nicole in the office, to the mechanic who broke down the findings.

The Dyno Shop took very good care of my car. They made the repairs quickly and efficiently. My car is now running very nicely. They fixed a leaking power steering pump and a leaking transmission pan. Changed the oil and completed a smog inspection. They also do DMV vehicle registrations. They are a good place to take your vehicle.

If i could rate them 999 trillion stars i would. For most of the past 2 years I have had Check engine light on. I couldn't figure why. For most of last year my 98 Explorer was in a collision repair shop. Santee Collision Center did great job installing the fenders, bumper assembly and driver headlamp. They couldn't acquire the parts. I went on major junkyard endeavors to get parts. My point is for most of 2025, up until October, it sat at Santee Collision center. More than half a year. I did research on when fuel goes bad. The research i did led me to conclude after 6 months, after fuel has been idle, it's no good. I took it to Dyo Shop for diagnostic. I really believed the fuel was bad. Their diagnosis came up with something entirely different. Their testing showed 5 of 6 fuel injectors were bad. More accurately as Nicole put it, "not the correct injectors for my vin" Further testing revealed fuel filter needed to be cleaned. 12/31/2025 i paid the balance, picked it up and check engine light was not on. I put gas in. I drove it 99 miles and put my code reader on it. Three monitors were not ready BUT check engine light remained off. I smog tested it 12/31/25 and it failed. Evap, catalyst and Exhaust Gas Recirculation monitor were not ready. Today, 01/03/2026 i drove it another 110 miles, check engine light remained off. Two monitors were finally green lit. Evap and catalyst. I smog tested again today. It passed. Thanks to the Dyno shop, Explorer finally registered. Waiting 2 weeks for the registration. Gonna go by so fast. Yes I know my vehicle is 3 colors. Red black and green. The Explorer i took parts off of in Ontario Ca., Nov 2024, was a green Explorer. Santee Collision Center does great work. (They stunned me in late 2019 on a 2007 Toyota Yaris i had, which had heavy front end damage. Looked brand new after they were done) The Dyno Shop does great work. $140/injector seems a bit steep. That was their price for the injectors. Really NICE it will have an updated registration and check engine light is still off. Now onto other pressing issues. I will say it was pretty worth it since they correctly diagnosed the problem, correctly gave a remedy, installed the parts and which cleared all DTC's. Im stunned. Im amazed. Can I give infinity stars? Infinity plus 1? Explorer looks great. It runs great. It has plenty of power, shifts nicely. Brakes are absolutely fine for awhile. Cruise control mostly works.

Highly recommended by mechanics and friends. I have also had great work done here in the past and just recently have had a great experience. If you are anywhere in the greater san diego region take your vehicle to the Dyno shop its worth the extra bucks on the tow if you are far away. You wont regret it. Vehicle repairs are expensive but invest that money in the right repair shop with all the experience to get your service done right. Great communication and helpful and friendly staff.
