Von, the heart and soul of the lil key shop mobile service, is the epitome of experienced professional. My ignition lock cylinder needed a complete overhaul, a very complicated and detailed task. From start to finish, Von made it look easy. He explained every step to me throughout the process, even sending me pictures of the errant pin that was causing all of the problems. He worked with my schedule, and I couldn’t be happier with the service or the price. I consider myself lucky to have found one of the best locksmiths in the DMV.

The shop does not have a physical store. It operates entirely out of a mobile van. The physical address is remain the same if you decide to go there. Von was very easy to work with. I called ahead to make sure he was available before my trip. I was able to meet with him and have my auto key cut within 20 minutes. The key works perfectly. Von took an extra step to ensure the key fit correctly by using a prototype key first before cutting my OEM key. That’s professionalism and detail to his work. The price is definitely competitive to other shops around the area. I would use him again if I ever need my key done in the future.

Called today to get a remote key with an immobilizer replaced. Met up the same day and was able to get a new key made on the spot in less than an hour. He did it for $150 less than the dealer was charging. Works mobile now out of the "lockedout lostkeys" vehicle.

I subsequently canceled and I called The Lil Key shop and got service within 15 minutes. On the hottest day of the year Von came out and created a new car Key for me. Awesome shop and services. It took 5 minutes and half the cost to get a car key copied here compared to Fragers. After a month of getting it wrong even Fragers knew who the real expert was and told me to go here instead. I wish I had gone here first.

this company treats you in a bad way as if they are working by force, they could never make me a key for my motorcycle, They said they would call me when they had it, more than two weeks passed and they did not contact me,,and now when I call them they do not answer the phone and if they answer me they only receive the call and cut it

I stopped by the shop today, the owner was professional and was able to get me a copy of a Honda CRV key. He was fast (took about 10 minutes) thanks to his large inventory and professional service. While his storefront is open from 10-5 Monday to Sunday, he is frequently called away on jobs, so be sure to dial ahead before heading over. I reached out to a number of different lock smiths in the city and all seemed to be controlled by the same call center. The Lil Key Shop might be the last independant operator in the city. I will be happy to patronize the shop again in the future.
