Went to get my oil changed there and the gentleman that helped me (I have to find out his name and add to this review) was so incredibly helpful. As a female (hell as a human) I am weary of getting scammed after Discount Tire put a nail in the side wall of my tire so I had to replace it....$970 later I don't trust very easily especially on upselling. But I was shown I needed a break flush as well as one other service that I will definitely be returning to them for. I just want to thank the gentleman that helped me out on Sunday 26th 2024 with everything. On top of that I left my bag that had my schedule and expenses for my buisness up there and been freaking out trying to find it.. got a message from him saying I had left it there. It's the small things that he did to make me a permanent customer there. That notebook is my livelihood and he took the time to notify me. I'll be by to pick it up at 830am! Thank you Original Lube and Tune and the gentleman that helped me.

Great spot, fair pricing, and friendly staff. I went on a weekend and had to wait for quite a while but was able to get tires rotated and an oil change. Overall a good experience but will try to hit less peak hours in the future.

I’m not sure what’s up with all the negative reviews. I’ve been coming here every year (last 5 years) for both of our car inspections. The staff have always been super friendly and helpful. I even ask for some extra help like tire pressure checks / refills every now and then. They’ve always handled all of our issues with care. The staff doesn’t ever try upselling me anything and they are always prompt and timely. I’ve showed up every time without an appointment and they’ve never turned me away nor have I had to wait very long. I also like that the location is convenient with parking. You can pull around the back or side of the shop and park until you speak with the team. Maurino was the tech I worked with on my most recent visit and he was awesome. Highly recommend this shop and thank you Maurino for taking such great care of us

I've been going to Kwik Kar Mockingbird for at least 10 years. I have never had a bad experience there. The staff is always friendly and the mechanics talk to me and tell me what needs to be done and what can wait. I don't ever feel pressured to add more repairs than I need or can afford. I am never talked down to as a woman. And the service is always as quick as it can be, depending on how many customers were there before me. I got an engine flush and new oil, filter, and other fluid checks in about 15 minutes at lunch time on a Tuesday. I don't know if they're the cheapest in town, but they do quality work. Probably the most honest car repair shop I've ever used and I've been driving for 30 years. I think they are a franchise and the owner and manager obviously do a great job hiring quality employees who care about their work. Can't say enough good things about them. Update 7/2022: I got my car inspected here today and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. My previous review remains as is!

Honestly I’m just a girl so anything regarding a car makes me feel like a fish out of water BUT this specific lube and tune spot makes me feel so comfortable!! They are all very sweet, polite and do a great job with my oil changes. They were also sweet enough to put in my new license plate free of charge. Great all around!

Took my car here to have the spark plugs changed. Left with car running a lot rougher than when I arrived. Took it back and asked if they checked the spark plug gaps, seated the coil wires back properly etc... The gentleman was very polite in saying the spark plugs come pre/gapped and I explained I understand that but even new parts are occasionally wrong. He went in and rechecked everything except the spark plugs gap. Took it to our mechanic and he found that the new spark plugs were not gapped property and now our car runs great. If you want a good mechanic go to Abel’s on Fitzhugh. He will do better than Kwik Kar.

This location repeatedly provides honest and friendly service. I would recommend to bring an updated proof of insurance or have it ready on your phone if you are bringing your car for the state inspection. I have taken my vehicles to this garage for over 10 years and will continue to have them service my vehicles in the future.

After waiting 45 minutes for an oil change and inspection, I was told that the inspection machine wasn’t working and they didn’t have the filter to change my oil. Complete waste of time—I will not be returning.

Took my son’s 2024 Jetta in for an oil change and they put too much oil in. They also broke my wife’s radiator cap on her Q5 and just stuck it back in broken. It started leaking radiator fluid immediately. Wife took it back and all they did was add more fluid. Took me several hours to get the stuck half out to install a replacement. Accidents happen, but they should have taken responsibility for it. Not going back even though we have used them for many years. I am positive if I drop by and explain they will just make an excuse.

I brought my car here for an emissions inspection and was given a receipt with no report. I got home and realized that the receipt I was given was not even for my car. I went back and got the correct receipt (which didn’t even have my car’s correct mileage on it) and still no inspection report. I went to renew my car’s registration and the Dallas County Tax Office said the inspection was not uploaded to their system and so I couldn’t renew my registration. I called the shop and they said that I should have gotten the report. When I said I never got it they said they didn’t know what happened and that I would have to come back and have the inspection redone and that it was not their fault, but it’s the state’s issue. I did not and will not return to this shop.
