Tried calling for a competitive quote and they said they couldnt tell me the general cost of the exact repair over the phone. I attempted to explain that I already got several but he didnt let me finish the sentence and was very unfriendly over the phone. He interrupted me and told me to go elsewhere. Not sure if he is a jerk or was just acting like one. Either way there are many other options. Both the shop I called before this one and after this one have verbally quoted me for the specific work I am asking about. There was no reason for this clown to behave that way over the phone

Took my diesel truck in for a oil change I had an appointment for Friday morning l was told it would cost about $120 to $130 I called to see if it was done and they were just starting it. They said we’ll call you when it’s done. Never got a call so went down to pick it up at 415 because they close at 5 . When I got there it said closed but the guy said it won’t be done till Monday I told him I’ll take it and come back but they drained the oil and didn’t have any so they leave my truck dry all weekend and when I pick it up the bill was $254. They must have went to 7-11 to get the oil and charged $9 a quart the over filled it by 2 quarts. I wouldn’t take these guys a lawnmower

A few weeks ago we stopped in without an appointment to have a car checked out that we wanted to purchase for our children. The owners took the time to explain their schedule and asked if we would be willing to wait. We loved how he communicated with us and waited inside the very clean and inviting shop. Which by the way is a perfect example of how autoshops can be clean no matter how dirty it is in the working area. Anyhow, we did not have to wait long, he checked out the car, gave us his honest advice and an estimate for repairs. We chose to purchase the car and took it in this morning to start the repairs (We are fixing one thing at a time to better afford things). They provided us with an estimated cost and a time of completion. When the repairs started to move away from their original plan, they called and communicated each step of repairs and potential price increase. We really appreciated the time and effective communication we are given at this business. By the way, we had taken the car to another shop that we have always used and were not treated with the respect or given the time that we were at Thomas's. Thank you so much for helping us keep our kid safe!

I was recommended by my brother.. At first I was happy.. Spoke to Walter to get quote. I had radiator & hoses replaced. Oil & filter changed. Recharge of air-conditioning. I paid over $1200.00! I thought all was well. Paid what I thought was fair. Ten min. after picking up my car. Steam flowed out of my hood. Temperature gage read HOT. I stopped 3 miles down the road. Called my brother to rescue me.. He found the manifold cracked.. Had to call a tow truck. This was Friday. Called shop. No help till today. Monday. I love my 2006 Ford Mustang. I have to depend on honest & fair priced local mechanics to keep my vehicle maintained. I hope Walter can repair my Baby Blue Bell!🤑😡😥 Everyone makes mistakes. I like Walter. I hope we can continue doing business.

We have been taking my husband's older car here for years because of a recommendation from a friend. They always do excellent work without trying to upsell us on anything unnecessary . They are always very transparent with every repair explanation. We recently took our "not as old" vehicle to them for some brake issues that have been a problem for the entire 5 years that we've owned it. It was under warranty with carmax up until recently, so in the past we took it to shops affiliated with carmax's warranty plan. The other shops all told us over the years that they didn't know why our car had this particular problem and would do a bandaid fix to reduce it. Thomas auto figured it out quickly and fixed it entirely!

I have brought my cars to Thomas Automotive for 6 years now. I have nothing but positive things to say about the folks who work there, the way the business is run, and their fair pricing practices. I most recently brought in my new (to me), 10 year old subaru that I purchased. Unfortunately, this car has had many issues but throughout the process of getting repairs done, Preston and Larry, the main mechanics who I worked with, were so kind and always willing to explain what various repairs would do and exactly why they were needed. Preston is always professional and lovely to talk to over the phone and in person. Larry always adds a personal touch and will often show me the faulty part that they had to replace in my car. Their pricing is always fair, they have never upcharged me, and they always give honest opinions on the best course of action with repairs. They are family-owned and have been around for a long time. I highly recommend Thomas Automotive for all of your car repair needs and I tell all of my friends about them!
