I took my E-350 camper van here for transmission problems, and they found many more complicated underlining electrical issues causing my transmission to break apart. The problem involved lots of effort and attention but Ross found the main culprit. After receiving it back, many electronics work that previously didn't, and it runs very smooth unlike before. Ross and Mike did an amazing job and they both are incredibly knowledgeable. Thank you Tip Top for getting me back on the road!

I brought my Subaru in because the transmission was having problems. After evaluating, Ross called me and we discussed my options. We decided to replace the transmission. He was very thorough in describing the issues and my options. He never pressured me but he advised me. I went back to TTT and Ross when my engine started having issues. Ross and team once again saved the day. With new spark plugs and a few other adjustments, my beloved Subaru was running like new. Recently, I brought my daughters car into Ross, and he checked out a bunch of issues. He called me and was very honest about the situation. He suggested we not waste our money trying to patch this car back together. Some mechanics would probably have done some work on it even though it's a lost cause. Ross, suggested that it would be best not to spend our money on this car. I'm so thankful for his honesty and advice.

I've taken my 2005 diesel van here many times. The initial discussion was to bullet proof but after some much needed repairs, the van has been running great with no issues and currently no need to bullet proof. Ross and the team are very professional, responsive, and transparent with timing and price. They've never tried to upsell me or offer services that aren't needed. I will continue to bring my van here and refer people as much as I can!

Tip Top is a great place to work with. Sadly we brought in our car during a time when supplies were hard to come by so it took longer than expected. Not their fault. I worked with Ross who was always helpful and informative. Prices were better than anywhere else I checked. Best part is that the car was repaired and runs great. I think my only complaint was they charge 3% to use a credit card— at transmission costs I think use of CCs are expected. But again, I checked multiple places in the area for replacement service and Tip Top couldn’t be beat with prices or speed of repairs. Talk to Ross when you get there.

I am very particular about my dodge Cummins pickup and always do my own work, transmission work is another story. But I trusted Joey with my truck and couldn't be happier with the outcome. These guys are amazing! They sent their own tow truck when AAA wouldn’t tow my truck with the transmission out. I had a vacation I was taking my family on and they went out of their way to get it done in time. Not only that, but I was at work until after they closed… since my trip was first thing in the morning, they brought my truck to my work and dropped it off for me. They went above and beyond!! I definitely recommend Tip Top Transmission!!!

I took it in for a repair and they proceeded to do a whole transmission rebuild without contacting me first. On top of that their mark-up on parts was double the cost of the toyota dealer, triple the cost of an aftermarket rebuild kit. The rebuilt transmission has been working for a while now, I don't doubt their mechanical skills, but I don't feel like there was a lot of transparency in what I would end up paying.

i would give a 0 star if u could. one of the worst shop experiences i’ve ever had. they had my truck for two weeks and i got no calls and no updates unless i called them. the second time u called i was told that i was bullying them into fixing my truck and i was annoying them and that they no longer had interest in fixing my vehicle. they then lied to my insurance company and told them things that weren’t true to push me away. i talked to both the owner ross and mike and they had no remorse and in the end i was charged $90 for sending pictures to the insurance company. no process and no repairs were/was made. extremely unprofessional and i would rather fix it myself then bring it to these disrespectful impatient liars again. extremely unsatisfied and pretty angry with my experience. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. Edit Just spoke on the phone with mike and he is now threatening to tell my insurance i was trying to comit insurance fraud. i called to ask for my money back. he had told me my frame was bent so i took it to a frame shop and they said it was not. i asked him for my money back because his diagnosis is incorrect and was a waist of time. he then started yelling at me over the phone and threatening to lie to my insurance again about something not true. Again. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. These guys are very unprofessional.

This shop is wonderful; our business had a customer that moved to the Salt Lake City area after leaving Georgia. Our business did work on the vehicle, but after they moved there was an issue. Tip Top Transmissions was able to work with our company to support our customer and resolved the issue. Customer was super happy about the results and treatment she received. We as another shop were absolutely thrilled with the way they worked with us, stayed in contact over the issue and were really fair on cost. For anyone in or visiting the area of Salt Lake City and have issue with their vehicle, they should see Mike and gentlemen of Tip Top Transmissions.

I had recently bought a torque converter from a different company that had prematurely failed, and was denied help to get it replaced or rebuilt. I spoke with Mike at Tip Top and agreed to drop it off to be rebuilt. He discovered that the parts are not interchangeable and went through the hassle of buying the correct parts from the manufacturer, and within a day of receiving the parts, had it back together and ready to go. He did a great job.

Overpriced and unethical. Charged me $400 just to give me a quote to rebuild a Ranger differential. Wanted almost $3000 to rebuild it. They said they chage $165 an hour. That is dealer prices. I bet they don't pay their mechanics that much. They claimed charges such as oil disposal. Oil was drained before I gave it to them. Took 2 weeks to even get the quote. Very unfriendly also.

These guys! Specifically Ross, were so amazing! Im a single mom trying to move and my power steering was running right through. They literally had me fixed up in less than a day and found a way to do it all within my budget! Highly highly reccomend!!!!
