I sincerely feel like I was sold a defective tire seeing how It exploded less than 15 miles after purchasing I returned and voiced my concerns about it possibly being defective and was repeatedly told that they believed otherwise and there is nothing they can do due to me declining the protection plan..... Like I would understand if that was the case a month later, but this was the same day, that kind of stuff should be covered regardless of the protection plan. And I firmly believe a better company would have understood that. My attempt to contact the district manager was unsuccessful and at the time of writing this I have not been called back. I was also told that my vehicle was possibly to blame however I have had tires of the same size and style before for years with no issue, so I am hard pressed to believe that. Staff was nice during the installation process, my gripe is with the company and their apparent asinine policy I shall not return in the future, I advise looking elsewhere if you are in need.

I recently took my car to Tire Choice, located at 13781 Warwick Boulevard, Newport News, VA 23602, to address an oil leak. The initial repair estimate was approximately $900, but the final bill exceeded $1,300 after the manager claimed the job required more work than anticipated. Despite the unexpected increase, I paid the full amount and brought my car home. To my frustration, I discovered the next day that the oil leak persisted. This suggests they either failed to address the issue or lacked the expertise to diagnose and repair it properly. I returned the car, and they assured me they would fix the problem. After keeping my vehicle for a week, they informed me that the leak had nothing to do with the previous repairs—despite the fact that the current leak was consistent with the original issue. To make matters worse, they admitted to knowing the source of the leak but claimed they were unable to fix it because the district or regional manager wasn’t comfortable with them fixing it, so they would not fix it. This entire experience has been both frustrating and disappointing. I strongly urge you to thoroughly research before taking your car to this location.

I’m not sure how the experience could have been better…the tire price was competitive if not better than competitors. The tires I wanted were not in stock but the manager went out of her way to personally go to another location and pick them up within the hour!! I didn’t need them mounted or anything but when I need tires again this is where I will be spending my money.

My mothers personal experience. They have sold us a set of tires and gave us the paperwork.All of that mess, they've waited out the transaction pocketed the money.So when we went to redeem the warranty, they couldn't find us in the system and never even honored it as customers.And they even admitted that they knew that the previous manager had stolen money for tire purchases and fired him for it and they still did not honor the warranty.

I had a very pleasant experience! Despite the stressful circumstances of having car troubles around holiday travel. The front desk was very helpful and informative and helped me make the right choices for the repairs I needed for my car. The repairs were also done very well and the techs really know their craft. If I am ever in the area I would certainly stop by for service again. I will also recommend my family and friends in the area have their vehicles serviced here.

I live in Richmond and was driving to Norfolk to take my three year old son to his first hockey game. We had big plans to explore Hampton Roads, but I blew out my tire (THIRD time THIS YEAR) right outside of Newport News. After putting the donut on my car, I called these guys hoping they would be able to squeeze me in last minute. They were able to accommodate and see me immediately after I arrives. I’m giving a massive shout out to Chaimone who was working the front desk and was super communicative and accommodating the whole time, even going above and beyond by driving and picking up the right size tire when they realized they didn’t have one (I didn’t realize my front and back tires were different sizes). While we had to put off our big plans of exploring, we were still able to make it to the hockey game on time and had a great time. Our day could have easily been a bust, but because of the work from Tire Choice, and especially Chaimone, we had a wonderful and memorable day

I was very impressed by the professionalism of the staff, the cleanliness and comfort of the waiting area, and most importantly, the respectful treatment I and other customers received. During my alignment, a potentially serious issue was identified and addressed efficiently. It was not an unnecessary "add-on" service as is often pushed by unscrupulous service centers, but a genuine concern handled with transparency and care. I truly appreciated how it was managed. I am new to this area & was looking for a "safe place" for car-care. This will be my go-to for all of my car service needs & will be recommended it to my family and friends.

I am extremely dissatisfied and frustrated with my experience at this location. After previously bringing my friend’s vehicle here and receiving good service, I trusted this shop with my own car. Unfortunately, that trust was misplaced. My vehicle’s check engine light would activate whenever I accelerated too hard, causing the car to lose power. I first visited AutoZone, where a diagnostic suggested a possible engine misfire related to the spark plugs. I brought that information to Tire Choice and explained the issue in detail. I was told they could perform a tune-up, replace all four spark plugs, and replace the coil packs for $1,500 to fix the issue. Trusting their expertise and not knowing better at the time, I agreed and paid the amount. Afterward, I consulted my father and sought multiple second opinions from mechanics, AutoZone employees, and others knowledgeable about cars. Every single person confirmed that the price I was charged was excessive and far above what this service should cost. To further validate this, I went to another Tire Choice location and requested the same quote without disclosing that I had already had the work done. I was quoted $775 less for the same service. When I showed the invoice from the original location, the employee backtracked and defended the charge, stating he knew the employee personally and suggesting I return to her and people make mistakes. What makes this situation even worse is that the original issue was never fixed, in fact, it became worse. When I returned to the shop, I was told the problem could be something else, possibly my battery, despite my battery being recently checked and well-maintained. I was then encouraged to spend even more money, and have them put the battery in to see if the problem goes away, which I declined. I shouldn’t have taken my car to a tire place for maintence in the first place but I was being unpatient and needed my car fixed ASAP and didn’t want to wait a week for my appointment. This entire experience could have been avoided if a proper diagnostic had been performed from the beginning. Although they claim one was done, the results clearly indicate otherwise. I feel taken advantage of, overcharged, and disregarded as a customer. I strongly do not recommend this location. If you choose to come here, be extremely cautious, review all charges thoroughly, and seek a second opinion before approving any work.
