Hey this is john, my brother's and I were traveling and we had a tire mishap but had no money. We stopped at Firestone and Midas and were told that they could not help us. So we stopped at Tire Dogs in the Olympia-Lacey area and the guys there did not hesitate to pull our car in and fix our problem at no cost. They really went above and beyond thanks guys now we will get home safe

While Tire Dogs seems to be a generally reputable company from other reviews, be careful. They bought my car from me a year ago. Fast forward a year, I get a bill from a tow yard for a thousand dollars because they had the car towed. It was picked up from Tire Dogs, the Olympia location that I had sold my car at and the bill was in my name. This could devastate a family, I obviously couldn’t pay it and it increases by $100 per day. Thankfully the towing company’s owner was gracious enough to understand that I was ripped off and waive the charges but that was purely out of luck and a kind gesture on their part. I’m saddened that someone would do this to another person.

If you have no interest in my first hand experience then I'll save you some reading and just say, stay away from this place unless you have money and time to burn. Giving this 2 stars instead of 1 because the new kid was very polite and previous lead mechanic came back from his vacation and sorted me out in an evening and a morning. I won't even go into how much money I almost wasted on the parts they guessed I would need, would have been at least $600 and not fixed the problem. So, I get my car back and everything seems right as rain aside from noticing a few switches to power light and what not where flipped. It's a 23y/o car so for example, some interior lights are burnt out and the sensors think the car doors are always open. So I leave them off, no battery draw, life is good. The next week after not driving it for 2 days it won't start and I can tell it's the battery. I call dude and explain (thinking my battery isn't very old but it probably couldn't hang after everything), he says let's start with a jump and go from there. awesome so he drives over and jumps me at the end of the day (like an absolute boss). We chatted a bit and aside from his being criminally underpaid, he let me know he probably wouldn't be around after that day. Same problem once I leave the car for more than a day, so I call them and after rehashing everything up until that point (because nobody cared enough to mention any of this) I agree to walk down and buy a battery. I arrive and when I go to pay he just waves his hand and says "it's warrantied so just keep me posted and we'll tackle this thing. Mind you this is a different guy, nice enough, but the guy who sorted me out had already left and good for him. Sure enough the battery dies and I call them up. After explaining everything, again, he says he needs to call the owner because he's new and blah blah blah ok. He calls me back and says "the owner said, since you didn't PAY for the battery, we won't warranty it." Not can't, won't. In this moment I didn't even trust them to be honest about what they found so I found another place. I was very curious to learn what exactly the issue was. Sure enough, they had put a fuse in an inoperable system and it was draining my battery. All this to say if I had taken their recommendations I would be out at least $1000 and a month of my time and still not resolved the original issue. I would strongly advise staying for away from them.

I was fully satisfied with the service to my 2019 Subaru. I had a rounded oil pan bolt (oil drain plug). Angel and his friend began working on it immediately without a quote. I was able to stand in the shop the whole time and see them work. I was never forced away from the work area. They both had great attitudes. The cost for service was very reasonable for my situation. In the end, I paid $175 for them to tack weld a new nut head onto the drain plug and get it off. A new oil pan would of been far more expensive. They also replaced my oil without charge, as a courtesy. I felt taken care of here, not taken advantage of. That is priceless to me. I will be using them in the future. Thank you guys! Keep being awesome!
