Was quoted $1,400.00 in repairs, went next door to the pep boys and they looked at the “issues” and my price out the door was under $500.00. GET A 2nd OPINION after going to Topes auto repair.

Had me buy parts from them that I didn't need. That still did not fix the problem, took it back a week later had to pay double to get it repaired. Can't trust Joe the owners word period.

I needed a part to be tested to see if it was working, and when I first called I was answered by a guy that apparently doesn't believe women know what the heck they're doing when it comes to cars. I decided to bring the part anyways considering they had the sufficient equipment to test it. The test doesn't take longer than a minute, but they insisted they needed to keep the part for a couple hours. I asked them to call me back THAT DAY as I needed the part before the evening, and here it is, after their hours and no one called me. I am furious. Never going here for a full repair, they definitely do not keep their word.

Never fix anything. I ended up taking it to another shop and showed me what they did wrong. Joe, the working the front had a bad attitude, was unprofessional and not experienced. It’s obvious they didn’t even look to what the issue was, just fixed based on a hunch. Just wanted the money $1500 later. Do yourself a favor, do NOT go here.

My family moved to Pearland in 2002. Topes was conveniently in front of our neighborhood. . We thought we'd give them a try. We had left our mechanic of 18 yrs in Austin. It wasn't very long for them to earn our trust . They drove me home when I physically was unable to walk that distance . Topes took care of 6 of our cars and gave us peace of mind . Tom and his family and employees are very professional , have big big hearts. , very honest and their loyal customers are proof of that . Their son , Joe has stepped up and his father taught him well. . I've been baking them brownies for many yrs now. It's just a small way of saying thank you . I've lost count how many times I've called, asked for advice, Panicking over a noise or smell. Just today I was unable to air up my tires . 1 was very low reading a 10. I called up Joe and asked if he could help me . " sure Ms Roduner, bring it in and we'll take care of you" He says that every time . And Topes takes care of me . I'm bringing brownies tomorrow . Called Mon 6-15 to see if I could drop car off Thursday or Friday. Called back on Thursday morning around 7 and 730am. I was told there are a lot of cars to be worked on and if I dropped it of on Thursday it still would not be worked on so I said I would drop off first thing Friday. Well showed up Friday morning at 730am when they opened went inside gave J.T. my key and said hopefully they get a chance to look at it and get it back to me. So I was supposed to figure out that there is a lot of cars to be worked on means I should have left my car Thursday all day and then let them look at it on Friday. Was never told that if I dropped it off it would put me in line. JT hits the counter and basically without saying called me a liar and says he never told me to bring it on Friday. Makes sense for me to leave my car knowing their not going to look at it til at leased Friday. Communication would help on how you do things not hitting the counter and arguing with the customer. Needless to say I took my key back went to the quick lane at the dealer as I’m writing this they are finishing the brakes. People want you to support small business but ask yourself if you want this kind of experience and want to argue than this is the place.

I needed some repair work on my car. I am new to the area and was looking for a family-owned shop that I could trust. I received a coupon in the mail for discounted services. I called and the CSR was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately they were pretty booked up, and I was unable to get my car in. I will be trying again based on the quality of service I received over the phone.

Took my truck in yesterday morning for major brake repairs & exhaust leak. Picked up my truck after work, the repairs are outstanding!!! My son took his car in, 3 weeks ago for brake problems. It needed all new brake pads & rotors replaced. Later that day, the car was finished and ready for pickup. My son says, it feels like a brand new car!!!

They were nice but the minor problems I asked them to fix they didn't fix. The major problem got fixed but I asked them to fix the blinker and air conditioner thing that was broken and some other problems they didn't do anything except the main problem and that still messes up at times. I wad also supposed to get. 10 percent discount due to using triple a to take me car there. Didn't get it and I asked them twice about it. The guys were nice but the job that was supposed to get done didn't. Oh well I say let others make up their own minds lol

8/2/16: I just picked up my 06' Pontiac from them yesterday after work. This was not my fist time having work done at Tope's. Once again, Joe and the shop did an outstanding job. They assessed the AC issue with my car, didn't try to sell me or produce a bigger issue, and the repair time was very good. Tope's is the place to go for quality and honest auto repairs.
